Thank you man keep uploading your guides are so helpful some things I miss and it’s taking time but your giving so many good tips that for one thing I miss I learn 4 others so it’s really helping! ❤
So glad you uploaded this, because many beatmakers and producers get discouraged by peeps on the interwebs who think the only true production is a composition with 80 tracks, 45 plugin effects, 15 automation lanes, etc. I'm not knocking that style as I greatly enjoy orchestral and classical works, as well as intricate EDM, but sample-based hip-hop doesn't typically require all those bells and whistles to evoke its intended feeling.
Hey Alexandre, I really appreciate you taking the time and dropping by and sharing his input. I’m glad this was helpful it’s been very useful in my workflow and I’m sure it’ll be useful when you’re building your tracks as well. Much love and blessings to you
Another superb video, Malo. You are very inspirational and a great presenter of information. I sure hope Akai continues to take care of you, brother. Blessings!
Hi, so much energy in your creation, it is cool. I like how you explain your method of creating from sample to drum. Thanks for this video. There are so many videos to see on your channel. Long will be the road. :^) Take care!
A Wu Banger, I think you can all ways add things but the challenge is knowing when to stop not over produce your tracks. Example if you got a sample that sounds full what should you do? Enhance layer Filter etc.
Love your beats and videos mann. Keeps me inspired and motivated to keep making beats. And I’m new to the standalone workflow and you’ve been clutch with helping me out. You’re pretty much my mentor😂😂😂. But yea love the vid mann. Keep ‘em coming! And I got a question. If I use the effects from the sp404, will the effects stay if I record it? Because I’m thinking of getting one and I love the effects of the 404.
Hey Angelo, thank you so much for the support and feedback brother it really means a lot. And in regards to the SP404 affects, those effects are only audible when you have the 404 turned on and the only way you would be able to record those effects is if you track each individual track separately running through the SP404 out of the 404 into your DAW so it could be printed with that affects. Hopefully it’s not confusing but I’m glad you brought this question up since this is something that I would love to do a video one very soon.
Hey brother thank you so much for this request as I was planning on doing a video dedicated to TapTempo since it’s extremely powerful in my personal opinion. I would love to do a video specifically on this down the road. Thank you so much for this
Hey BoombapArt, thank you so much for the support and taking the time to share your feedback it really means a lot. After some time doing beats I noticed these are the main three tracks that I use lol. Blessings to you brother 🙏🏽
I am like you. If the beat sounds good with only 2 to 3 tracks then why add all that other stuff. Over crowding the beat. Go with what works and don't over think it.
I’m having fun learning more about MPC functions and techniques. You’re helping me in that and I appreciate it. 💯✌🏽🔥

Is the sample and the drum break’s tempo simply not matching or did you adjust it off camera? Thanks Malo!
Our workflow is so similar. Max like 4 tracks as well lol. Mostly the samples I use are very 'full' already.
Yea can you explain more on that tap tempo?
Hey brother thank you so much for this request as I was planning on doing a video dedicated to TapTempo since it’s extremely powerful in my personal opinion. I would love to do a video specifically on this down the road. Thank you so much for this
@@malobeats I’ve been trying to understand it more like I try it but not too sure if I’m doing it right because my tempo still be off lol
Dope video, but this beat was so crazy bro 💯
Thank you brother I really appreciate the feedback.
Awesome video n dope beat 👊🏻Straight forward, 3 tracks.. what more do you need 🤷🏼♂️

Where do I set the splices? How did you know when you have to tab?
what effects/filter do you usually use for your samples? and for your whole mix?
Learned a lot in this video! What genre of music is the sample?
Thank you so much for taking the time and sharing your input it really means a lot. The sample was an old Rock Record I found on UA-cam.
Hi, just a question. Why did you decide to keep the MPC One even after you got the Live II?
This man’s voice got deeper two years later go look
Yo!!!!!!!!!! Gagahahhaahhaag I can’t stop laughing right now. I did not notice this until I read your message and played back this video. Hahahaha 😂
What genre is the sample?
