- Everyone processes grief differently. After Tommy's character lost his last canon life on the Dream SMP, each of his friend's dealt with their grief differently. One reaction that really grabbed my attention was Jack Manifold's. For the past few months, Jack had told himself that Tommy was his enemy, but when he passed, he realized that Tommy had actually been one of his only friends. I felt really inspired by his take on this. Plus, I don't think he has a song yet, so why not write him one?
Grace and I have been grinding these past few days, staying up until 3 or 4 am to get this song out as soon as possible for all of you! I also got a guitarist, Scott Nelson, and an amazing artist to help with the project as well!

jack manifold's character is so underappreciated and you did him so much justice! i was ecstatic to find a song for him. his reaction to finding out tommy died is one of my favorite things in the lore, because jack's wanted to kill him for so long, but when tommy does finally die, he feels so conflicted and starts questioning why he wanted to kill him anyways. and you captured this so well in your song. and the instrumental is literally my favorite thing. and have i mentioned your beautiful vocals? you're so incredibly talented.

Something about this song really stood out to me. It just feels so honest, and it fits Jack really well. This feels like he's owning up. He's admitting that maybe he was wrong about Tommy. And I don't know, it just feels so beautiful. It's, for lack of a better word, bittersweet.
