Cymbovula deflexa - Deflexed Ovulid

This allied cowry was occasionally found on a gorgonian (possibly a Rumphella sp). Interestingly over the years that I have shelled at this location these gorgonians were rare and consequently I had only ever seen this ovulid once previously. On this trip large and small individuals of this gorgonian were common and so were the ovulids. Cymbovula deflexa is now accepted as Naviculavolva deflexa.
