I'm keen on this product and the idea because I want to get better at biking. My comment is that the flow score is confusing, when you have high flow you have a low score 🤔. Could the scale be made to go upwards but not be linear so you can never actually reach zero or go below zero?
Thanks, and great point. We have to get used to thinking of the FlowScore as 'penalty points', where 0 is no braking at all and it goes up from there based on the characteristics of each brake event.
@@mtbphd yeah ok, I think that's my sticking point. Flow is an optimal state, so it should be rewarded with a high score, to get zero flow points doesn't enthuse me. It requires me having to think about it, and that's not what normal people like me want to have to do. It's like saying, your work is really good, I'm going to rate it a zero 😕😔
@@activelives I totally see what you're saying. Unfortunately on the trails more braking = less flow. One could also pretty much brake to infinity and there is no upper limit since one could also pedal to infinity. The model has been scientifically validated, but calling it a FlowScore just sounds so much better than the mathematical name :)
@@mtbphd thanks for replying. It just reminds me of how Anders Celsius originally wrote the Celsius scale with 0 being boiling and 100 being freezing. I just wanted to point out my thoughts because I think this is an amazing invention! I wish you well! 👊🏼
