Would this work with a larger yarn or would you need chunky yarn? Im hoping to hame a dolphin with a baby blue super bulky yarn that I got, if not, do you have any suggestions that may work with my yarn that looks similar to this?
It's very difficult to say. I've seen a few people try fine yarn and 2.5mm crochet hook with this pattern and the results are still beautiful. However, with larger yarn, I'm not so sure. Different yarn will be able to change the shape of the dolphin.

I think if you use really chunky yarn and a bigger hook, it will be much bigger! :D
