- In this video I walk you through how to find your bluetooth device after you have already hit "Forget this Device". Sometimes it makes a lot of sense to forget a device from your bluetooth list, but I looked all over the internet and found almost no information on how to make the device re-appear. You have to reset your network settings on the iphone. This will reset your wifi passwords so you will have to re-enter them after you do this. Once you do this all devices will show up on the bluetooth devices list. This will only work if the device you are looking for was "forgot". If this doesn't work it's likely due to the bluetooth device you are trying to connect. I hope this helps.

Hello Community!!! Wow 250,000 views on my first video ever. Is this a joke??? I really should make more videos lol. I want to clear the air after making this controversial video. When I first did the video my Bluetooth device wasn't connecting after I hit "forget this device". I looked everywhere on the internet for information and couldn't find anything. I NOW know what the problem was. When you hit "forget this device" you are telling your phone to forget previously connected devices. You would do this when you are trying to clean up your devices list. When you want to get the device back on the list, you simply turn the bluetooth device back into pairing mode. It should show up again under "Other Devices" near the bottom. That is the easiest fix. BUTTTTT when for some reason your device doesn't have a pairing mode "old devices maybe?" then you might as well try to reset all your network connections. They might be out of wack for reasons unknown (technology isn't perfect). If this comment helps you please "like" it so it goes to the TOP and other people get a fix to this problem. Love all the cell phone users out there! Keep it Positive!! And be aware resetting network connections on your phone erases passwords to wifi and other connected devices.Hope this helps!

All you have to do is press the power button on your bluetooth device (thats how you pair with bluetooth) and it will just show up back in your bluetooth devices. simple

As many comments say, doing it as this guy suggests would erase ALL of your network settings. Some here have mentioned another way and that is : when you press 'connect' on your bluetooth device, hold the connect button for a few seconds longer, it'll then appear in your bluetooth devices list.

Juxt1n 7 there should be a button behind the case. Just hold down the button until the light in the case shuts off completely then turn it back on. If it still doesn’t work try reconnecting them in settings.

step 1. Turn and turn off the bluetooth
2. turn on your headphones
3. disconnect your headphones with any other devices
4. then you should see it

This worked for my iPhone 7 when I tried to connect it to my Bluetooth headphones after I forgot them. It truly does delete your wifi passwords saved in your phone and any other Bluetooth devices you ever connected to.
Y’all it works!! At first it wasn’t showing up but after doing what the video says, I just left my beats on and I was watching other videos thinking it didn’t work but then the pairing thing popped up and I was able to connect my beats again!!!

I’m on the verge of throwing my ear buds across the room. like I ain’t got no button to press on the back, ain’t I ain’t got no “reset. they might be knock offs but trust me they actually work and they might not if anyone lets me hold them any longer.
The video helped partially and the comments made up for the remaining.When you wish to repair, make sure you press the Bluetooth button on your device- your headset, your Bose earbuds etc ( it’s a small button in the container) and the pairing will happen instantly.

I have a ACTUAL solution, if it’s Bluetooth headphones/earbuds just hold the power button on it should say “powering on...pairing..” then the option should come up. With speakers it’s basically the same.

i had this same problem i couldn’t connect my airpods so i forgot them on bluetooth i tried everything i reset my phone all that reset the airpods an everything it still didn’t work i updated my phone an charged the case even though it wasn’t dead after updating my phone i unplugged the air pods an it took me 5 minutes and they connected we may not have the same problem but don’t give up there is a solution it may be annoying take a break an give them a rest an try again in an hour or so.

I have skullcandy wireless ear buds and the left one didn’t produce any sound all of a sudden, I got worried and searched it up and it told me to delete them from my paired device me being dumb I didn’t know what that meant so I forgot the device and immediately regretted it. I thought I was screwed. But all you have to do is fully turn off your phone, and turn it back on, turn on your Bluetooth device and check the Bluetooth part in settings and the device name should show up at the bottom, then you just click it! I really hope this works if not help me improve 😂

Just to clarify since this video now has 10k views and mixed comments on it working. This is for resetting your network connections. It's like a refresh of your connections. This includes Bluetooth devices as well as wifi connections. Yes it will refresh your wifi settings, meaning it will forget the networks and wifi passwords saved on your phone. You will have to choose the wifi network just like you did when you first connected it (I know the hours of looking through papers to find that wifi password will be painful). But if you no longer can connect to your bluetooth then this might be the only way to get the connection back. It's possible the problem is with your actual bluetooth device and not your phone. This is just something to try. I have an iphone 6s. Sorry for anyone who may have lost their passwords. I should have made it more clear that this would happen.

Ryan Schalk great point. The best thing to do, for all of us is to see if you can view your network settings before messing with changing them. Sometimes there is an option to VIEW the password if you can't make them readable try copying the ******* password as is, then use notepad or open up email or anything that allows you to write then paste ******* on the page...sometimes it will turn *** into viewable numbers,letters.
There is a 50/50 chance this won't work....
If all else fails call ip, xfinity or ??? Ask them to help you. They will also explain the process of changing the password to one that you will remember...BUT, don't change the setting until you are sure that you have a way back in...

hey! so if you read the comments, it doesn’t work. so what you can do is, if you have a Bluetooth headphones, hold down the button until it is in pairing mode. some headphones will say “Bluetooth pairing” or something. once you do that disconnect your Bluetooth and reconnect it and it should pop up :)

This WORKS , if you are not getting it back is because your bluetooth device is not on so it won't appear in your devices.

Just press and hold the play/pause button on the device and it will give forth a glorious beep, go to the Bluetooth page on your phone and it is magically back.

That is probably happenstance. There is no reason be believe the program needs a reset followed by a week.
Hit the forget this device in iphone and can’t connect it again. Tried most suggestion from community discussion and this video suggestion, didn’t work. Just in comments section I found the solution. “Long press bluetooth button on device” it will appear again🤣

This worked for me, I don’t know if this will work with anyone else but it is what it is. I went into settings and pressed Bluetooth (and I turned Bluetooth on), so when I did that there should be a button on the back of the AirPod case. Press and hold down so it can pair.
Yu gotta reset all settings instead of jus network settings....disclaimer: it will mess up sum stuff like your home screen and WiFi stuff but other than that it works

Before trying this, try holding down the pairing button longer than you’re supposed to and see if it lets out a second beep. Should make the device change it’s name so the phone can find it easier. Let’s say you have skull candy earbuds. Hold the power button until it does the double beep. Now it’ll connect to your phone without this video. This video only works for 1% of people

Wouldn’t recommend doing with any devices that have networks that are important that can’t be shared from a different device, but this worked amazingly for my Apple Pencil and iPad 👍👍

Here’s the solution. Your arms should be relaxed and loose when you press Bluetooth on button. This gives you the space to create the full connection and enough time to generate the device. Related to this idea is the concept of "connectivity" -- that you should be able to connect the same device and type of Bluetooth by letting your arms and hands follow the connection rule motion every time. Once you’ve done this it should work.

Don’t do this! It just messes up your settings. Instead, try holding the power button on your device down even after it’s turned on and it will go into pairing mode and the device name will pop up on your screen and you’ll be able to reconnect it

This doesn’t works.. You just have to Put both AirPods in their case, open the lid.
Hold that small button on the back of the case for about 10-20 seconds until the status light starts flashing amber.
Once the status light blinks amber three times, release that back button.And the device will come back
