Instruo Lubadh, QuBit Nebulae, Versios, FabFilter- ‘Ethereal’- RtB

I’ve been wanting to add FabFilter graphics to my videos for as long as I’ve been making them- but it was only this afternoon that I set about making it a reality. Having two audio interfaces helps, as does a varied collection of Apple dongles. I doubt it will be permanent, or even a regular feature, but it’s nice to know that I can do it at all…
It works here because of the nature of the piece. I’ve got three separate recordings of a single session from a couple of months back, all of slightly different lengths; two are being played back by the Lubadh- one forwards at normal speed, the other in reverse at twice the speed and therefore an octave higher- while the third is being played by the Nebulae at a quarter the speed, but just one octave lower. Output from the Lubadh is going through the Electus Versio, from the Nebulae through the Desmodus . FabFilter’s Pro-Q3 (unseen) then applies a high shelf, and the Pro-R (on screen) a spacious reverb. The overall effect is almost choral in parts (I kept being reminded of Holst’s ‘Neptune’), and the three or so minutes running time here is a fraction of the time I spent just chilling to it.

Ethereal dosent come close. If I had a bag of mushies I would play this on a loop. This is strange, kinda hypnotic, I would even venture beautiful and very very calming. Well done Wal.
