I only discovered this film just two days ago (although I know of other Merchant Ivory production's films) and having watched it for the first time, I wish I could bottle the feeling of seeing it like I have not seen it before and now secretly envy of anyone who will be watching it / discovering it first-hand. I tried so hard to see if there's any picture of script segments on museum display to read because as someone working in opera translation/subtitling, it is necessary for me to see the script with the film / deleted scenes as much as how I would read full score of an opera to see musical nuances for the opera libretto translation... Anyway, long story short, this film has me hooked and for one instance, I forgot this is a film about gay people in love. As I watched, I could only see human beings in love and find love, with no discern of genders.
I hope u won't get tired of making these videos. Your edits are the best I've seen so far, and they really helped me recover from the movie's emotional damage
