I bought a tester so mine didn't have the leather strap. I agree, this was initially challenging for me but I find it beautiful. I still have to be in the mood to wear it, though. Great review!
I liked Galop upon first sniff, but I wasn't sure if I needed a bottle. Eventually it got its claws into me and I had to have it. It smells expensive and well-crafted, but also unique and boldly colored. It really doesn't smell like any other perfume I've encountered. It smells very niche.
Love now knowing that this bottle design was dug up from the Hermes archives! That's pretty cool! I have a love/hate relationship with Christine Nagel's Hermes creations but Galop is a love. When I first sampled this, I really liked it but it disappears almost immediately on my skin. Thank goodness it wasn't like that after finally getting the bottle, it actually has a decent longevity especially on clothes. Cheers!
It’s such a stunning bottle isn’t it?? I must admit I had a hard time with some of her perfumes at first encounter too. Eau de Citron Noir and Un Jardin Sur la Lagune were the ones i struggled the most but they grew on me over time. But her creations for the Hermessence line were instant love. Especially the oils!
I now understand the history behind the bottle. Next time I go to the store I will take my time and smell. I usually go straight to the shoes and the scarfs. Lol
Oh I totally understand! 😂😂 I’ve been a good buy and have stayed away from buying any of the stunning scarves that are part of the new season! But it’s so hard! 😭😂😭😂
I've been wanting to try this. This looks and sounds amazing 🙏
Can’t wait to hear what you think of it. :)
Thank you for this review ! I have this one in my wishlist. I think Hermes makes very beautiful fragrances
They sure do know how to make beautiful fragrances indeed!! 😍
Thank you for watching!! 🥰

Me too! I definitely have to be in the right mood as well.
Genius from Nagel. What a stellar fragrance...

I absolutely agree! 🥰
Did you get a bottle after all?

I definitely want to try Galop. If you enjoy saffron leathers, I recommend Tom of Finland by ELDO.
I’ve heard that!! Will be looking for a sample of it :D

the leather here is the same as cuir d'ange (birkin bag style), at least to my nose. i got a bottle for 100 bucks today.
What a great price!!! I wore it again a couple days ago.
If I were to compare this to a leather used on their bags I’d go with Epson!
Thank you for the nice review. Indeed it's a beautiful elegant perfume but after a while the saffron- leather wasn't for me.
Saffron still is a somewhat challenging note to me.
I can see how it can become too much for sure! 🥰
It actually reminds me of Rose et Cuir by Frederic Malle.
I can see how! :D
New subbie ❤
Thank you! 🥰🥰
