does the vivid and normal option work on this model . my s24 ultra it dont work its dull and washed out
Iphone noob...
I like heavy phones it feel like it's high quality and not light and plastic feeling
Your a chawal then
Same
Could not agree more. A weighty phone feels like a quality phone, just crammed with the latest and greatest tech.
Same
I agree with you 100%. Heavier phones definitely feel more premium and high quality then lighter phones.
Of note: the iPhone did have stainless steel as opposed to the aluminum on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Still would have liked to have seen more than a 1g difference of weight!
I think there are many reasons that may effect getting lighter. One of them is the battery size. The extra pen ect..
But how was it supposed to get lighter if they switched to a heavier material? 😂
Titanium is heavier than aluminium. Still the phone is lighter... I don't know what you guys expect 🙄
Well look at the 14 PM vs 15 PM the later one feels and is much lighter. The feel is now perfect so why wouldn't the s24u be able to do the same? Must be all the Samsung bloatware that is adding weight 😂
Yeah that darn bloatware making the phone too heavy 😹
You forgot to mention HTC was the first company to use titanium 10 years ago 😉
You forgot to mention that I invented titanium in 1901 AD. 😶
@@alphaomega1351 he pointed to the iPhone making it seem as if they were the firsts ones to do it
There were titanium phones in the 2000's
3 more days! Waiting sucks! So excited, can't wait!
judging by you, does it feel like the phone is fundamentally different from the previous one? The same shovel, the same faceless sensor
@@PavelMy It's different, but I absolutely love it.
Whats the name of the wallpaper on the front screen?
5:22 At this point, it is noticeable that the slowdown is not carried out by dividing frames per second, but by an algorithm with the completion of intermediate frames, which is why frames jump into each other as through a warp
the wallpaper you set is amazing on s24u. where can i get it? can u give me the link
I can send you the picture but therapy isn't letting me
On the Jerry Rigs Everything, the iPhone 15 Pro Max failed the bend test horribly. Maybe the extra weight of the S24 Ultra will make it more durable? Strip away too much frame, and you have glass cracking on the first flex like with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
There have been zero issues of breaking iPhones. Keep your phone away from bodybuilders who habitually try to bend people's phones. The same with OnePlus, it failed but no one has had a problem. That test is now useless. Independent tests using real-life examples found the iPhone 15PM was as good as the previous generation. Zack at JeeryRig makes his money from flexing; the reality is somewhat different.
@@andyH_England cool keep using your iPhone I'll keep using my s24 ultra have a good day buddy
Nice job. I like the titanium side on the phone.
5:08 Tim casually saying "even when I'm taking pictures of the moon".😅
Like when did we reach this point👏
Isnt there a way to color calibrate the screen to be as on the iphone?
What happens with the anti reflective coating when you put a screen protector onto the screen? Does it disappear?
It did for me with a tempered glass Spigen Ez Fit. Reflects worse than my S22 Ultra with no screen protector.
I got a random one from amazon, and even with that , it's less reflective than my 23U with a glass screen protector
@derekdrummond7544 Interesting. The fingerprint reader also failed 50% of the time. I tried Amfilm, Spigen and Torras.
@@That_One_Guy-STLdid you re-program your finger after you applied the protector? Also, increase the screen touch sensitivity. That'll make it back 100% accurate
@@mjjones1045 Yes I increased it and no it didn't help. It still requires a Kung Fu grip to get my thumb to read. Last one I got to work had that obnoxious thin circle in the glass over the reader. Screen protectors just aren't my thing after not using one for 5 years now.
Are u using extra brightness
My 14pm has been good to me but it’s time for a change I have a jump upgrade and I’m definitely getting this I can’t decide the color I’m thinking the violet or yellow
Orange my guy, gives it leather vibe
Violet bruh!
Pure titanium, it has gold and also emerald vibes based on lighting. Waiting for mine to come in. Orange is a close second but wish the orange and green were more metallic and vibrant and not as flat
Yellow bro trust me lol I'm typing on one as I speak 🔥
The previous iPhone had stainless steel which is why the weight difference was larger.
Good point!
What is that thing on the phone's right side, under the buttons? It is on only American versions?
Lock button
Why don’t Samsung have the fingerprint censor on the side switch like the folds.
How can I get that wallpaper. It looks awesome!!

Word has it that Samsung has always used Aluminum which is already a lite material. Where iPhone used something else which has been heavier so when they switched to Titanium they got a better, much needed result.

I don't want my phone to be light. The S24U, even with a bulky case, feels just right. Absolutely love everything about it. The same magnetic phone holder I've used since the S10+ hold the S24U just fine on a bumpy ride. From an S22U
What is the case?
@@CodiakLBJfan Urban Armor Gear Metropolis LT Pro
Great content. As for the weight, the 15pro max has a mixture of aluminum and titanium. The amount of titanium is 2 bucks worth. As for the 24 ultra, it probably has a purer titanium in the frame.
Erm... Incorrect
@@trustnoone9921 you are right.
One question, why did Samsung change videos so they no longer automatically fill the screen? Yes you can zoom to fill but then some of the picture is lost. Sooooo frustrating
You're watching stretched videos?
@@a.b.8375 dont know, but when i used to watch podcasts on youtube, when turn the phone to horizontal it would automatically fill the screen. Now there is maybe just under and inch each end blank
The sharp edges does not bother me. I guess it depends on how you hold your phone and your hand. Mine does not even touch either palm of my hands. Likely bcoz my pinky finger is just beneath the usb c port that acts as a support while the three other fingers are at the back of the phone.
Exactly, just let the phone rest on your pinky. No need to grip it with your palm lol😅

The slo mo video AI feature will only work if you record your video H.264 mode. If you prioritize video quality and use HEVC mode (this is what I use as the videos come out a lot more crisp), the slo mo video AI feature when you touch and hold on the display, doesn't work.
I don't know what you've been doing wrong, but I've just recorded videos using HEVC and H264 at UHD at 30 and 60 fps and the slow mo AI feature does work 🤔
@@derekdrummond7544 I have the HDR10+ toggle on and the slo mo feature doesn't work with it enabled. Once disabled it worked in HEVC mode .
@AdamSlobodian I got you, I didn't have HDR on. I guess there's a limit to what the AI can process at this time . I'm sure I remember a reviewer saying something about it's limitations but I can't remember who or if it was this issue 🤔

I love how everybody speaks and praises the "titanium frame" when it's just a small layer, effectively only granting the phone a greater amount of resistance against scratches and also slightly better haptics.
I used mine for 1 week. I let the battery recycle two times. After the 2nd time the battery went from 85% to 22% in less than 3 hours without barley using the phone. When I picked up the phone on the left side of the phone I could feel the battery ohms. I immediately shut off the phone and called Samsung Care Plus at 8:30pm. Thus since Samsung then told me to return the phone with the original accessories. Meanwhile they already accepted my trade in of my S23 ultra and Samsung expects me to wait 3 to 4 weeks before I can order a new phone.
How is your battery experience? I got mine 2 days ago but the battery has been so bad compared to the iphone 15 pro max i traded in
The battery hasn't had long enough to optimize. It takes about a week to learn how you use the phone. I get just as good of battery in my s24 ultra as I do with my 15 pro max. I also don't play games and do crazy stuff like that though. I just search the internet, watch UA-cam videos and do other normal phone stuff.
I have iphone 15 pro max and 23 ultra and have been using 24 ultra from last 5 days and the battery life is better then iphone 15 pro max and 23 ultra
The battery in My 15 pm that I’ve had since launch lasts much longer than my s24, it’s not even close.

In all fairness, of course the iPhone is going to lose a drastic amount of weight. It was using very hefty stainless steel. The galaxy was using an aluminum build, not very heavy to begin with.
Why can I see this video as Picture in Picture on my iPhone without UA-cam premium? Other videos don’t do this when I minimize UA-cam, only this video. 🤔
same here
Love your work!
How many missed calls did you miss while in vibration mode? Can't even feel or hear it compared to the s21 ultra. 1300 and it's just like the s22-23 ultra with a weak vibration, and the screen cracks if dropped from 4ft, and the titanium easily dents. Thought gorilla glass was good? Lol another scam....
What do you think of the muted colors of the display? It's like they took away the vivid option.
I prefer the natural colors. It’s stunning. Vivid can look cartoonish and not realistic
Is it me that like phones with weight…the less it weighs the cheaper it feels to me
Bang on.
The reason the iphone is so much lighter than previous is because the previous iphone used steel. The previous Galaxy used Aluminum. Come on bro do your homework.
Imo the phone looks amazing I'm just not a big fan of the sharp edges and how heavy it feels. I use a case but now I gotta use a slim thin case. But besides that I love the phone I just wish Samsung could've atleast curved the sides aswell and make the phone lighter
They did its called the s23 ultra lol
@jctoyou the s23u isn't light. It's almost the same size as the s24u. The only difference is that the 23u is indeed a bit curved but 1g heavier than the 24u so it's still a big phone. Honestly Samsung should've just gave the s24+ the same camera specs as the ultra or close to it and that would've been perfect.
Nokia 8800 was the OG to use titanium
Does anyone else love the long ago Note 5? I swear that was the best phone ever made. The size and screen dimensions were perfect in every way, and was light af. If they made that same phone today, with modern specs ... i'd buy it now. But these are just too tall, too thick, and too heavy
Nice
Hiii timtim
AI is something I won't use all that often, especially with pictures. I like to keep my pictures as real as possible without resizing or moving it. It is just being dishonest with yourself. There are features that I wish they all have. As a mainly Samsung user, I wish they would copy the Pixel voice to text features. That is the best features that I used the most. It allows me to touch the voice keyboard on my Gboard and it transform my voice into text accurately most of the time. If I need to correct something, I can just command to correct it. I know all android has that features but the pixel takes it to another level. Also I still rather Pixel "still pictures" better than Samsung. If Samsung can have the same voice to text and pixel quality still camera, then that would be my perfect phone. The pixel on the other hand needs to have the same hardware like Samsung. Better battery life, better modem, better charging speed.
I love my S24U. Also, it was not mentioned that the response of the screen was improved. I'm making fewer mistakes in typing.
Few people are mentioning this important point.
Watching from bangladesh 🇧🇩
I'm looking at all of the reviews of the s24 ultra, And let me start by saying I don't think no phone is worth $1300. The fact that we would even pay that much for phones is crazy. But I'm just like everyone else. I bought this phone about the 15 pro. Max, when it launched out and I'll probably buy the 16. Pro max when that comes out, We've come a long way. Those of us who are older for what phones used to do back in the day so. If you get a phone, that's a 120 Hz, all-day battery decent camera. I'm like, man, you gotta a winner,
If you take the really good trade in offers in consideration, would you upgrade from s23 ultra to s24 ultra?
Hell no the screen is awful compared to the 23 U
@jerradmechals1 Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a software bug where vivid mode isn't working?
@@unearth87Samsung have apparently issued a statement saying it is all part of it's new natural unsaturated direction, and that nothing on the screens needs fixing and people are not to worry.
The only thing I’d miss about leaving Apple system is Apple ultra. That’s a great watch, and I don’t know if Samsung hasn’t answer to that yet as far as phones are concerned, there’s no competition.
I feel the move to titanium was a bad move. But that's just me.
All the people have to understand that Iphone 14 pro had stainless steel frame which is having much higher density than Titanium.
Hummm iPhone...? Did you try the "iPen" ... In the AiPhone ? Or the display... Meaning Samsung display in both? AiPhone? 😂
Very few people use a pen on the phone, hence why no other flagship candy bar phone has invested in that. It is for a tiny niche demographic.
The AI on the S24 line is, in fact, running on Google's LLM and servers in the cloud, so Samsung has decided to not invest and develop its own AI model and instead lease Google's model. Apple is developing its own LLM, which may take a little longer as, unlike Samsung, they are not piggy banking on a 3rd-party system.
Apple uses Samsung-made OLED but has invested in microLED, which will be their own when it arrives on iPhones in 2-3 years. It will be brighter, longer-lasting, more efficient with no burn-in. The OLED they use now is developed by Apple with Samsung manufacturing them to Apple's design and spec.

@filip4dk 2600 nits but the s 23 ultra is brighter and the colours are more vibrant
I like the duller display. I always use the natural mode anyway. But I get why people are upset. This looks like a big downgrade for those who love vivid displays.
Did you notice any dull or muted colors on the S24 Ultra?
Played around with a display model on a store and notice that the vibrancy of the colors are a bit muted on the S24 Ultra and upon googling the issue, it seems to be a relatively widespread issue.
It is not a defect according to Samsung. They are taking a new natural unsaturated direction with their displays now. This statement is something you need to Google for clarification.
Anybody ever tried to have a phone conversation with someone who doesn't speak your same language?
Didn't think so
Yes, I do wonder about many creators going on about this feature. I have never ever needed it! In fact, for obvious reasons, every restaurant (et al) I have ever used speaks English. I suppose it may be useful for those who do not speak English and arrive in an English-speaking country, but this is a very niche situation.
Yes, 100x zoom is not that good. So blurry 😔
Anything above 30x is pretty useless on ANY mobile device.

Talking about Samsung flagship but with no mention of shutter lag (issue that has been present on every single Samsung device year after year) is kinda strange. I could not care less about all these "features", lenses, megapixels and modes, if picture of anything with even slight movement ends up blurry and unusable. Apple is developing their own AI model (LLM), so it takes longer. Samsung was developing its own model but could not make it work, so it is leasing Google's LLM and cloud services.
So your "lack of innovation" is nonsensical and very strange. It seems that you fall for marketing rather than understand what Apple really does. It is a shame that so many people are shortsighted, but I suppose people are less and less patient as they chase the gold at the end of the rainbow.
