  • This was our first trip to Jeju Island (제주도), South Korea. We stayed in Jeju for four days during the month of December. We rented a car so we could drive around the island. We ate lots of tasty food, including Jeju's famous black pork, tangerine ice cream, and green tea cake. We went tangerine picking, visited the Osulloc Tea Fields and the Jeju Innisfree House, hiked to the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong, and more!
    We stayed at the Park Sunshine Jeju Hotel in Seogwipo City. We booked our rental car in advance with TAMRA Rent-A-Car / tamracarrentals
    For the tangerine picking, it was 5,000 won for tasting / eating while at the farm, and 12,000 won for 2.5 kg to take home. Each person in the group is required to either taste or pick tangerines.
    Admission to the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is 2,000 won per adult.
    Admission to Seongsan Ilchulbong is 5,000 won per adult.

    I live in Seoul so I’ve been able to travel Jeju as well! Love the coast line views and cliffs so much. The lava cave was a lot cooler than I expected too. My only complaint is without a car it can be super annoying to visit everything. Thanks for the video! 🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷

      Yes, the coast line views are incredible in Jeju! I'll be sure to check out the lava cave if we we make it back. We really wanted to hit a few different spots around the island because we aren't sure if we'll ever be back. There is just so much to see. Renting a car to get around is definitely convenient, but not cheap. Thanks for watching!

      Thank you. Yes, you can swim there, but it was too cold for us when we went in December. The temps were in the low 60s Fahrenheit during the day.

    Hi!!! Love the vid! ^_^ Quick question - did you guys find it hard to 1) drive around the island and 2) find parking wherever you went? I'm planning a trip to jeju but I'm leaning more towards using public transportation/kakao taxi vs renting a car because I'm not great at parallel parking/feel like it'd be less of a hassle parking wise...ty!!!

    • @AshleyRoberts80
      @AshleyRoberts80  Рік тому +1

      Hi! Driving around the island felt less stressful than driving on the mainland. There were big open parking lots at the major attractions we visited (tea fields, Innisfree House, Seongsan Ilchulbong, the waterfall). We also walked to restaurants and other places near our hotel. Using public transportation/taxi is definitely an option, but renting a car offered us more flexibility, and driving didn't feel really stressful for us. Also, keep in mind that we visited in December. Traffic is most likely heavier during the summer months.

      @@AshleyRoberts80 Ohhh, that makes sense! I'm planning on going July/August-ish, so that's tipping more to me thinking I won't drive lol...still thinking about it but I probably won't rent a car lol. thanks for the advice!!!

    Hello mam whatbis the best month to go to jeju?

    • @AshleyRoberts80
      @AshleyRoberts80  Рік тому

      Hi. Jeju is great to visit any time of the year and really depends on what you like to do. We've only been in early December. The weather was pleasant to us (around 55F), but too cold for swimming. If you want to enjoy the beach and water sports, then probably May - August is best. You can see the cherry blossoms in April, and the Fall colors in October.
