I feel like Legion Deserter is gonna get nerfed eventually. Don't quite know how, but my first impression is it seems a little too strong. At least in that deck. +1/+1 every turn, sometimes +2/+2, just by playing your main win condition which then gives you another win condition. Interesting design.
Its not that strong considering bard’s chimes scales higher, it gets wrecked with freezes and silences, and aggro elusives/good midrange wrecks any deserter deck’s ass. He is a good 2nd win condition, but not too OP to have a nerf.
Tough and barrier not stopping Disintegrate isn't the only interaction from this set that doesn't quite work as one would have expected. Mark of the Storm doesn't proc Lord Broodmane, kill a damaged or stun unit effect. I guess because it counts as a status effect doing the damage, and not the Fast spell itself, but that is a bit disappointing.
By that logic, a unit that takes zero damage via tough or barrier should also be able to be killed by Scorched Earth 🤡 After all, they took damage, right?
honestly belive that noxus card needs some change. right now there is atleast 2 decks that make it a over 8 attack early enough and REALLY big after turn 6 pretty consistenly.
Unyielding spirit should stop disintegrate, because it doesn't prevent the "take damage" part, it stops the "kill" part (like if you tried to ruinate on a board with an unyielded spirit-ed unit) Haven't tried it though. The interaction with tough is kind of the same as Scargrounds; if you deal one damage to an unit that's already been scarground-ed, scarground (and the crimson followers' effect) still proc
Even if it's intentional, the card needs a nerf anyway. There's no counterplay to disintegrate + blades edge and they just released an archetype about growing big units. Barrier and tough should both counter it
No matter the meta, I ALWAYS play an undying deck and make it anti meta. This current meta just made me add a few more one drops to manage the curve and easy wins. Last meta could get away with greedier big mana cards but this patch thanks to grapplr need some chump blockers to let undyings wreak havoc end game. Nothing feels better than a HUGE ruination! Then bam lethal undyings :p What's great about this game is that sometimes you have to play your cards in different orders than you want to depending how your opponent plays. Such a great game! UNDYING forever! Pun not intended

What about Legion Deserter + Avarosan Hearthguard. The legion deserter gets +1/+1 for each unit you have on the deck. It could be an easy +20/+20. Preaty dope in my opinion ngl.
rito should really hot fix desintegrate, or change the text, it's really killing stuff it has no business in killing. Tough units that shouldnt be damaged because of tough get killed, if you ping a unit with barrier it kills the unit.... at this point I'm pretty sure if you target something with desintegrate and a zero mana thermobeam desintegrate would still kill the target even though thermo would deal 0 DMG.
It makes absolutely no sense. If the unit does not take damage, they should not be killed. It's extremely poor design, and makes you think that a unit that took zero damage via tough or barrier would also be killed by Scorched Earth.

Kat's Blade's Edge synergizes a lot with Disintegrate, and her rallies synergize with big Legion Deserters
