    I have to chuckle every time I see you so effortlessly back up your articulated rig when there are so many truck drivers that can't back up a single semi trailer and also people out there that can't back up their family sedan. Great editing and music.... thank you for sharing.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  Рік тому +3

      We have blanket permits in Quebec so it doesn’t cost anything to run oversize. And at that size we don’t have any restrictions so it’s just easier to run with the jeep than to load it and unload it. If it were winter I would’ve loaded it for extra traction.

    • @giork2828
      @giork2828 Рік тому +1

      @@luckybananaheavyhaul3407 Interesting! Do you mean in winter you would load the jeep a) to the front, so you'd have more traction on the tractor, or b) on the back of trailer, so you'd have more "sideways grip" on the last few axles? (pls don't laugh, I'm not a trucker 🤗)

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  Рік тому +3

      To the front is better to have more traction on the driving wheels. By removing it from the road and loading it on the trailer you have less wheels on the ground. Less wheels total means more weight per wheel (for the remaining wheels) which equals better traction in slippery conditions.

    Hey, Doug. Met one of your other driver's in Davenport, Iowa a little while ago. Didn't recognize the name on the door but the colour of the equipment stood out enough to enquire about.
    I don't remember the driver's name, but told him to say hi to you from me.
    Always impressed with your loads. Doubt idea wanna haul something as big as some of your largest loads, but I do wanna haul larger than these 14' wide scrapers I often haul.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  Рік тому +8

      Believe it or not I’ve never moved a scraper! The construction companies in Quebec don’t use them. 🤷🏼‍♂️ we like to be different.

    Hello Doug- Hope you had a good vacation. It's nice when a driver can take some time to recharge the batteries. It appeared that the wind at the port was giving ya'll fits loading. Nice to run a load where you don't have to worry about height, width, or excessive length. Great job editing. Don't know about that music though. LOL. Have a good day. Drive safe.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407

    Would you not rather have an 18 speed manual transmission in that rig or do you like the new automated transmissions ? What engine is in that truck ? Thanks and love all the videos . There is a whole lot of driving skills on your channel . I move construction equipment all over Southern California with a 379 Pete with a 800 hp C18 Cat an a 18 speed pulling a 9 axle Cozad low boy .

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  Рік тому +11

      I will always prefer a manual transmission. But this is a fleet truck and the future seems to be automatic. It’s 565hp with the Allison. I will admit that this transmission is getting the job done for the types of loads I am doing. I don’t really have anything bad to say about it. If I choose the manual it’s just personal preference.

    • @luckybananaheavyhaul3407
      @luckybananaheavyhaul3407  Рік тому +4

      Believe it or not this is only a 7 speed transmission. Normally it will start in 2nd gear and go through the rest. When I’m loaded heavy I will manually start in 1st gear which is geared like Lo in a manual transmission.
