They sure can be! Especially when you start mixing in different forms of printing, and then even large format stuff like banners throw everything for a loop! Artwork for T-shirt printing can (in some cases) be much simpler than other methods, but it's best to keep guidelines in mind!
This is where I am struggling . I just bought Affinity 2. It is going to work for me, but i have a lot to learn. In affinity, i need to know-how to save, and how to upload to Transfer Express for printing. I will keep watching your videos to help me learn. thanks
You're welcome Jack, If you have more questions just let us know, we're always happy to help out. The best option for uploading will be a vector-based PDF file exported from Affinity: Click ‘File’ at the top left and then navigate down to ‘Export.’ A window will pop up that shows all of the different file types that you can export your document as. For print files, we prefer your file as a PDF to retain its vector properties. Make sure ‘Raster DPI’ is set at 0 so that nothing gets rasterized (turned into pixels and stays vector). If you have very detailed artwork with gradients or photographic elements, use the same settings as above but, select TIFF from the file types and be sure the DPI is set to 300.
For Paper & Sticker Printing file setup, we totally didn't mention including bleed- Since we're mainly talking about t-shirts we missed it here. It's typically 1/8th inch (.125") extended beyond the trim area in each direction.
Hi Patricia, I'm not sure exactly what you're referencing. We've been talking a lot about UltraColor Max recently as we've refined our turn times to ship next day if ordered before midnight (Est) and eliminated any minimum quantities. You can request a sample here: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples
Sorry about the message I meant to say Mr Dave were talking about print machine that the item can be transferred to Tshirt please reply back if I haven't wrong apologize a replacement video back over again I'll let you know if you don't understand this oh I'm just curious do y'all have any up-to-date samples with this year so far thank you hope to hear from you
File formats can be very confusing if you are not experienced. Very good job explaining the difference between file types.

@@transferexpress I use vector files for all of my transfers. It eliminates 99.9% of issues.

Question about Canadian orders: are they available or do we use Stahl's Canada? Good info on the Print Ready artwork. Thanks
What’s your preferred file type if I’m exporting raster work? Simple flats nothing crazy. Would png work just fine or would you rather get a pdf file?
Great question Rodrigo! While pretty much any file type works perfectly fine, PDF is preferred.
Do you have any samples of what yesterday was talking about

If we upload a file, can we have it “proofed” and added to our clip art to use for future use?
You bet Luis! Some details for setting up your own 'Custom Clipart' are included here: www.transferexpress.com/custom-clip-art
