Really not a "should" or "shouldn't". I would say most users use a .png, but either are fine.

Yes - Rich Black bypasses the rip features for the most part.
Question, what would be the best settings for the 2 step transfer paper with this software to get a best print possible? What is DFX standard means?
Em, there are so many tools in the Print Optimizer so you can make adjustments for EACH image if you want to - there's really no "best" - it depends on the image itself, etc.
How do you drag one design to a slide with one already on it. To be able to print different stuff on same sheet.
You should be able to just literally drag it from one page to the other, but if you are having trouble please email support@coldesi.com
Can you reduce the white lay percentage in this software like the transfer rip software or no?
Hi Jonathan, yes. Inside Print Optimizer if you select your design and go to color adjust there's a slider called "Coverage" That refers to the white toner.
I'm trying to figure out the b3st settings for thinner less plastic feeling transfers. I have the 12h2 Coldesi DTF printer with the print optimizer software. Any advice?

what is a rastor image?
Is there a way to change the toner mapping in print optimizer to have the white toner printing first like for making decals on the OKI PRO8432?

Great question! I don’t like using the white for all of my images. This system is complicated for me 😒
Question...No matter what I try, I can't get my image to not print pix-elated!!! I'm starting off with a great 300 DPI image but the result is always the same....a pix-elated print. HELP!!!!!
that's aweful Jovan - sounds like something in your graphics settings. Send in a support request to get a solution

Great question - there are a few ways to do it including moving images around in the Print Optimizer software or setting it up in your graphics program and importing it as 1 file

How can you configure the software to show your job costs so you can get a better idea of how much you are spending per print job? That would be a tremendous plus!!
Jovan - the software measure the amount toner used - but it's a very modest expense. The real cost is in the paper.

How would I make the same image two different sizes on the same sheet? If I have an 8 inch image, but also want to place the same image on the same sheet but at 6 inches. The software doesn't allow me to do this to maximize the area of the paper.

That is a great question for support@coldesi.com Ricky
Print Optimizer will not import PMS colors correctly..arbitrary assigns a CMYW color. This is a FYI if you have clients, like me, that require PMS color matching. Great for adding white to back of white design, not so much for colors.
How do i write in text to print out? is there any way to create.
Beckie, you get a software called GIMP with it for free that you can do that with. Or, if you don't want to learn to do graphics you can outsource designs to coldesi-graphics.com
How in the world do you print a photo image on regular laser paper with Digital HeatFX I560???

Hi Kids, It's actually pretty simple to use once you've been through the training - which is included with all of our printers
I am regretting buying this printer. None of my prints are coming out with bold vibrant colors. They look dull & I don’t understand how to make resolution better. So frustrating. And training doesn’t cover hardly enough! 🤦🏾♀️
