Ain't gonna watch that. If they weren't gonna replace him they could've made it a killmonger redemption story for part 2. I would've called it black panther: redemption. You could still have tchalla pass but, defending wakanda from an unknown invader on the outskirts of wakanda. Just as black panther dies Eric killmonger wakes up startled in a wakandan prison. Instead of letting Eric die in the end of the first movie he saved him with the beads. Wakanda no longer has a king or defender which sets the stage for Eric's redemption against namor to defend wakanda or die trying in honor of t'challa in which at some point he sees in the spirit realm he also sees his father and t'challa father and is forgiven for his mistakes. They then anoint him as the new black panther and send him forth to defend his homeland and unite the people.

They best to keep Will Smith out of it. As an actor, he would not fit. And even if it’s acting, his character does not fit. The only anytime he needs to be a prince is in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.. I said this in 2020. They had the perfect out. When killmonger said bury me in the ocean... That was a setup. Killmonger was brilliant. So much so that he met with Namor ahead of time just in case he lost to T'Challa. He knew that T'Challa was honorable and would respect his wishes to bury him in the ocean where he would be healed and revived by Namor. He would be in a coma throughout Black panther 2 and wake up opening his eyes at the end. Black panther 3 has him apologizing to all of wakanda for his actions and then turning on Namor causing a war between wakanda and Atlantis. I came up with this 4 years ago. It's plausible, but they went another direction

I said this in 2020. They had the perfect out. When killmonger said bury me in the ocean... That was a setup. Killmonger was brilliant. So much so that he met with Namor ahead of time just in case he lost to T'Challa. He knew that T'Challa was honorable and would respect his wishes to bury him in the ocean where he would be healed and revived by Namor. He would be in a coma throughout Black panther 2 and wake up opening his eyes at the end. Black panther 3 has him apologizing to all of wakanda for his actions and then turning on Namor causing a war between wakanda and Atlantis. I came up with this 4 years ago. It's plausible, but they went another direction
