- Changing the way we think about both Chromebooks and All in One PC's, the HP Chromebase brings an incredible design and quality to such a needed space in technology. Join me as we explore what it has to offer.
This thing looks pretty cool. I do really wish you could use it as an external monitor for other devices.
For a family device, a face or touch ID log in is a must. Great review thank you.
Having recently bought the HP x360 I'm seriously considering this for my main desktop and leaving Windows all together.
It's a really great AIO if you're looking for an all rounder. I'd love to get updates on how you go.
Thanks for taking the time to comment :)
@@TechBytesWithLoren I have a USB C to hdmi for the x360 for a bit to see. So far, GIMP works beautifully for my graphic design and Only Office is what I have now for spreadsheets but missing excel. So far my only issue.
@@nrussell18 sounds like you're close to being all over it. I hope the spreadsheets side gets easier
Good review! Thank you.
this hp chrome i love it i just one for mine bday is perfect is easy to use and fast device the speaker is real good .
Seems really interesting.
Hey Lo - how'd you feel about not being able to adjust the landscape height? Seems a tad high
Hey Brad, I didn't really notice it for what I was using it for. I used it for landscape games and recipes in the kitchen which was actually really useful. I can see how it might be a little hard from a desk perspective potentially if you're at a fixed height (not a sit/stand desk.
@@TechBytesWithLoren the screen is super cool, not sure how it would go with working as a main business comp - thoughts?
@@bradprouting9280 I think it would be suitable for working from home. It mainly would depend on whether ChromeOS is suited for your work?
Also depends on the configuration and what you're looking to do. The device itself is a great unit.
I also find the device extremely aesthetically pleasing and that's always a good fit for a work setup
Do we know if this is coming to Australia?
Hi Lochran, this one is still on hold for AU but has launched in NZ. So for Australia, its still a TBA
@@TechBytesWithLoren it launched in NZ!?!?
Is there anyway we can get one shipped here? Surely??
@@lochrandoherty9218 It did, I personally can't really comment on the AU retailers right now but I can absolutely see a great reason for it to be with us in AU.
Example retailer in NZ: www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/hp-chromebase-21.5-intel-pentium-6405u-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-touchscreen-all-in-one-chrome-desktop/N207156.html
@@TechBytesWithLoren ouch, that price.
On HP official website in NZ it costs $2,100 NZD.
Can't find it anywhere to buy
This is new to Market and yet to arrive in Australia. But should on its way
It's easy to find in the United States on the HP website, eBay, Best buy etc... Apparently that's not the case everywhere though
Thanks for a great review!! Does it work with a USI stylus and can it be used as a screen extension with a USB c- HDMI adapter?
I don't unfortunately have a list of compatibilities for Stylus. The USB-C ports with this device offer an output option for displays but not the ability to use the device as an additional monitor
Also, thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate it
@@TechBytesWithLoren Thank you for taking the time. Would be great if it had USI support like our Chromebooks. A shame you can't use it as an screen extension. Still, a lovely product.
Looks like not available in Australia 🥲
Sadly, I have gotten an update recently that there are continued delays with this device. I don't know what kind of timing to expect coming into AU
