- What is going on everyone? Leon checkin' in & we are at it again with another video!
In today's video we will be unboxing and reviewing the rotatable 21.5” HP Chromebase All-In-One touchscreen computer.
This model comes in multiple variants but the model I have features an Intel Core i3, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
These specs paired with the large display should make this setup great for productivity, media consumption, storage.
This video is featured on the Chromebook & Chromebase playlist so you can find information related to this topic quickly and easily.
As for this device, we’ll continue to cover the HP Chromebase in future videos for a more in depth review and tutorials.
As always, we only feature products or services I buy, use or am interested in.

It's a really amazing product. Honestly, the keyboard is nothing to sleep on. I have a HHKB keyboard, and I have come to like this board more. It has really nice features that you cannot find on any other ChromeOS keyboard.
Thanks for the video! I ordered one from Best Buy Open Box in Excellent condition.
Welcome to Team Chromebase. 🙂🙌🎖️
A beautiful device
It is. I'm hopeful devices like this get people more excited about Chrome OS. 🙂
Hi Leon! I hope you are doing well? I love your reviews! You are so very thorough and in depth with your reviews. I purchased this HP Chromebase for work. I love it! I can always count on you to provide the highest quality of reviews as you did here. Thanks!
I missed you William! It's always great to hear from you! I'm not surprised you bought this too. 🙂
@@TechCrackedWeekly I always am watching your reviews. I like them all.
@@williamdobson8451 Thanks as always for your continued support. It's a blessing to hear that. 🙂
Great review! I am going to purchase one today from Best Buy.
It's very good for viewing and reading information, productivity and playing games (Android and Cloud)!
It just has a very futuristic feel to it with that rotating display. ☺️
I'll be talking more about it this weekend.
Enjoy Michael and let us know what you think of it in the comments below if you can to help inform others who are considering purchasing. 😌🙏
Hey mate how did the product goes after 11 months?
Picked one up for $400 at staples this morning . Going to set this on my kitchen counter.
It's perfect for this! 😎
I've been waiting for you to share your thoughts. I look forward to hearing more. I did notice the keyboard looks a little small for me, I think I would opt for something larger from a third-party seller.
The keyboard was messing me up a little at first for that reason. 😅
I kind of like the size though because it can be tucked away somewhere easily.
But I also do want some kind of RGB keyboard. 👀
@@TechCrackedWeekly I'd opt for the RGB version sooner rather than later personally. That's too small for me to comfortably do any significant typing. Let alone gaming with how close the keys are, 😂
The glare looks a little unsettling but that might be just the lighting in your studio.
Hi Michael,
I appreciate your feedback. It could very well be my lighting and I can see how I can improve it. Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
In landscape mode, is that screen height adjustable? If not, that’s a design flaw.
Hi Jason!
Thanks for stopping by and asking! That's a great question!
So in either mode, the display is not height adjustable. I never actually thought of that as a feature, but that would be super neat!
I had to actually work around that by using a riser and then an electric standing desk, which help.
But it would be really neat to see a feature like that in more computers like this in the future!
Hi Leon! Thanks for av really helpful and well put together video! Do you know if it can be used as a second screen extension? And can you use an USI stylus? Thank you!
Hi Marcus,
I haven't found anything in settings yet for screen extension. I also haven't found anything yet for USI Stylus support. If I find anything out, I'll certainly give an update. :)
@@TechCrackedWeekly Thank you! Actually, I söker to HP and it doesn't seem like either will work.
Wow interesting computer 🖥
It's certainly an underrated relic from the future. 🙂
Would the Chromebase be good for streaming a podcast on UA-cam?
Can you play full screen games that we buy on play store like: scythe, catan, mysterium, stratego clue..? Thanks
Hi L Soleil,
I appreciate your question! Thanks for stopping by and watching!
I wish I had a clear answer, but I haven't had the opportunity to try those games yet although I took a brief look; they look interesting for sure.
Hopefully I can provide an answer that does help:
I am still using the Chromebase. In fact, I'm typing this response on it.
I am still noticing that some apps still don't go full screen.
So there is the possibility that these apps will go full screen or will not.
It's hard to tell without being able to try them. I wish there was a free demo I could test to let you know, but I didn't notice one offered for these games.
I know this doesn't give you a clear straight forward answer. We do need to see further optimization with Android apps across different devices most certainly and this lack of optimization doesn't give us the best experience on devices like the Chromebase, which is otherwise very beautiful!
It is a bit of a dissapointment for sure.
is it just me or the screen is not straight? Kind of tilted to the right?
It's not just you. Mine is tilted to the right a very tiny amount. 👀
@@TechCrackedWeekly Hi, I have one last question. You can help me to decide if I should buy it. Does this AIO have B&O audio control? I think HP audio speakers are unmatched with their equalizer app.
How do I connect it to my internet ?? Do I need USB to ethernet?
Hi StanLee,
A USBC to ethernet cable should work if you are trying to use a wired connection. 😎
Hi, can you create multiple accounts simultaneously with this OS?
Hi Meledoc,
You can! 🙂
Wow, what a coincidence my nephew and I were at Best Buy today looking at this unit unit but unfortunately it didn't work. He is looking for something for work, it will be interesting when Microsoft releases Windows 365 that run on multiple devices.
I absolutely love this thing. It's up there with folding phones. I think it's pretty damn cool. 😎
Hi! I have this but I don’t find a way to download ANYTHING :(
Hi Mariel O,
What are you trying to download. Feel free to message me on Instagram @pixels_cracked and I'll try to help you there if you like as well. 🙂
Can It Download Games? Please Someone Tell Me
Hi I'm Wolf,
You can download Android games from the Google Playstore. Performance may vary depending on if the app supports larger displays and can be resized or are supported on ChromeOS.
You can also use a game streaming service like Stadia or Xbox's Gamepass Ultimate which works very good if you have a good internet connection. :)
@@TechCrackedWeekly Wow Cool Thanks
tht monitor.should be detachable.since u all call it all in one...nativly all in one isnt harware in base rather behind screen.
That would make for interesting concept that could have some interesting uses. 🙂
Do you think Fortnite would be good for this
Hi Brandon,
I did try to download Fortnite through Chrome Browser, but had no luck. It doesn't seem to recognize it as an Android device. 😑
@@TechCrackedWeekly is there any other pcs that are like this and play a little bit of fort I just want it mainly for UA-cam videos and hw and little bit of Fortnite
If the monitor size was bigger, and it was Windows, I'd buy it.
I agree! That would be amazing!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year Pin Ball! 🥳
@@TechCrackedWeekly Happy New Year too! And thanks for a great review. I have loads of touchscreen games I'd like to install (quiz games, fruit machines, video jukebox etc), but it would need to be Windows. Such a shame.. The ability to rotate the monitor is also very helpful e.g. fruit machines portrait, all else landscape.
