    Hi there, new subscriber, here! Congrats on this adorable new home. You've done an amazing job of pulling this all together so quickly. You've probably had lots of time to think about it, though (lol). I would have been obsessed! Cheers to you all, and Bravo!

    Blood ,sweat,and tears but so so worth it , honestly Joanna, Arron you’ve done a brilliant job in what 5/7 days you totally transformed it luv the nooks and crannies that are dotted about , painting it white was a great choice and every room looks spot on , floating shelves give the place a contemporary look and feel and the table and chairs add to that feel , the views are amazing and you will never tire of that great neighbours helping you also , well done and long May you and your family have a house filled with love and great memories ❤

      ALLAN! My favorite UA-cam friend!! Thank you so much for your words! I’m so glad you like our place! It still has quite a bit that I wanna do to it to make it even more homey but we are so pleased with it. I still can’t believe we got it pretty much done in one week- it was a whirlwind! Aaron goes back next week to do some small fixes- I’ll post the final final effect when we get it all done! Thanks for coming on this journey with us!! Big hugs to you!❤️

    Hey - great job on the house. Can I ask how long it took you to complete from start to finish & also do IKEA in Pescara a kitchen install service?

    • @travelinginspanglish
      @travelinginspanglish  Рік тому

      Hey there! Thanks for watching! It took us about 3 days to install the kitchen (with breaks and help). I’m honestly not sure if IKEA does install- but I do know they Do deliver. If that helps!:)

    Great video! When you travel over from the U.S., Do you fly into Rome and then drive or take the train to your place? Or do you fly into a different airport? It looks like train access is the only downside to getting there?

    • @travelinginspanglish
      @travelinginspanglish  Рік тому

      Thank you so much for watching! Yes, we do fly into Rome, but we don’t take the train. We drive into Abruzzo. It’s just much easier to get around in the region with a car as some of the mountain villages do not have train access!:)

    • @jimpurdum4695
      @jimpurdum4695 Рік тому +1

      @@travelinginspanglish thanks for the info. So I’m assuming you rent a car for your whole stay at your place in Abruzzo then?

    The home didn’t seem to look as badly to me as how you were describing it in the video. Most homes are sold with the furnishings included. You made it sound a bit on the insulting side, sorry but this is my impression of your video. You bought a wonderful home.

    • @travelinginspanglish
      @travelinginspanglish  Рік тому

      With all due respect, what I said was my opinion. You werent there and have no idea of the stench, the mold, the insect infestation…. Everything was ruined. The lady who owned the home hadn’t really used it in 3 years and it was in very poor shape. Trust me. Now, another thing to note is that standards are subjective. It wasn’t to the standards that I wanted and I changed it. As simple as that. I love it. Now, it’s much better. And my guests agree, so do the villagers who saw it in its previous state. Thanks for watching.

    It's gorgeous!!! You did fabulous job. How did you get the furnishings and kitchen from IKEA so fast? Did you rent a car? We'll be neighbors soon. I am buying in Palmoli and close in November. My little home is habitable but will need a heating system. So, I plan to renovate when it's warmer. Let's please stay in touch!!! :)

      Hello there neighbor!!! Thank you so much! I actually just got back from italy last night for another visit to fix up the house- this time to make it more homey. With regards to IKEA- they delivered!:) and we did also make a few trips with our rental car:) that’s worked well!
      Wishing you all the best with your home! How exciting!

      I’m sorry this video has made you dizzy. What you need to understand is that these videos are compilations of quick videos throughout of travel adventures. Sometimes I have time to savor the moment- sometimes I don’t and I have to quickly grab what I can. If it is too much for you, I’ll totally understand if you can’t watch and need to unsubscribe.

    Wow it looks like such a beautiful home, I can t believe someone would cry over the state of it, I understand that you have high standards but it seems like such an entitled attitude. Seriously don t want to be a negative but there is so many homeless people that cannot afford even a roof over their heads. I don t think I can watch the rest of this, shame I was looking forward to it. Unsubscribed.

    • @travelinginspanglish
      @travelinginspanglish  Рік тому

      Sorry you felt that way. Do what you find best. I’m not entitled- I merely didn’t realize the amount of mold and scorpions that we would find once we started cleaning the place out. Nothing could be salvaged- which meant more money from our budget. I don’t expect you to understand, so please follow another channel! Be blessed!
