I agree
my favorite Hawaiian word is Kamaka.
I currently go to Kapi'olani community College and learned the meaning of our school name in haw101. Someone in our class said kapi'alani, and my kumu went off cuz our school is not heavenly or light beer
Kapi'olani stretches from the shore of Kahalu'u to the slopes of Mauna Kea.
A succinct and valued supplement for my regular 'olelo Hawai'i class! Translate...

I'll try to remember the okina-- Po'ipu and not Poipu, eh? Thanks for the lessons.
Is it normal for me to be able to read and speak but not understand?
