Ahhh, the classic voice is back... My soul is at peace now. Not that the other guy is bad (nothing against him), but this narrator's voice is really warm and makes the videos even more enjoyable.
@@kevinsconcealment870 I'm not sure about that, but they would have to hit a home run with a new narrator, because this one and the channel seem like a match made in heaven. It wouldn't have to be the same voice tone (i.e. a copycat), but it would at least need to have the same warmth that contributes to the experience.
It's like watching an animated series that has been going on for 20 plus years just imagine if they change the voice of the main character I would not keep watching
this voice is the one that I kinda (meaning, I absolutely do) expect to hear when I watch one of these videos. Its as much a part of the channel as anything else.
1. Great having the narrator back 2. Absolutely great seeing Shaka Zulu on the list but 3. Yes it would have been nice to see Crazy Horse included. He fought hard for the Lakota
I was thinking this was a pretty good list while at the same time adding The names of those who didn't make the cut. Forgetting Crazy Horse Makes me feel like a dumbass, so I appreciate the reminder, And now I'm thinking of chief Joseph Geronimo etc. ✌️
P.S. For any other Weird History fans who love this channel largely because of the narrator's voice and particularly his humor, if you haven't yet seen the episode "What Life Was Really Like As A Medieval Jester", it's my favorite and I highly recommend it. It's the video that made me a die-hard fan as well as no longer adverse to fart humor.
Forgot Jan Zizka, blind badass from Prague who upon losing sight in both his eyes simply stated that he would fight his enemies at night. And he did, and he won.
Sorry to the other narrator but our OG is BACK!! I love this channel, and the current narrator is a big part of why I watch this channel religiously. Thank you for your service. It really is captivating content & we really do appreciate you. ❤
What about Jael who became fed up with some advice about how she could solve all of her problems after her husband had been sent to war by having romantic fun and so she decided that was the last straw for her around so many clueless such kind of men and so she became executioner before being asked to be one for a judge by the name of Debra? When that general's army found out only a woman killed him the whole army became defeated. With just one blow of her hammer. Read all about it in the book of Judges in your bible. Way better of a happy ending than what happened to Uriah thanks to his clueless wife Bathsheba and king David.
I don't dislike the narrator from the this one or anything but this dude is who I think of when I think Weird History, his voice fits the tone of these type of videos perfectly
You forgot the Warrior King Skenderbeg! 🇦🇱 the most persistent-and ever-victorious-opponent of the Ottoman Empire. Not to forget the greatest beard in history.
Yeah come on, crazy horse should've been on here without a doubt. Stood toe to toe with the US and won on many occasions, wiped out Custer and his whole platoon, and was once shot point blank in the face by the husband of the girl he was trying to get with, survived and didn't try to take revenge cause he was more worried about fighting the whites and protecting his people, plus he understood he kidna deserved it. Dude was tough as nails
Bohemian Jan Zizka deserves a mention. He was so badass, he was still leading armies despite having lost the use of both his eyes from previous battles and was undefeated as a general.
Mushasi wasn't always a Ronin but served different Daimyos and participated in samurai army force on force combat. His stressed simplicity in fighting style as well as stamina - If you can fight for 15 minutes straight you have a good chance of surviving hand to hand combat.
Richard, the lionheart He Rebelled against his father twice captured hundreds of castles became king of England, & went to the holy land and humbled Saladin Harald Hardrada Escaped A hostel takeover became a Varangian guard Blinded a emperor Became king Died, in battle for the English throne
I'd rather it be rolling thunder in it because he must have done something right when becoming a legend while some people following the story from afar were going mad while feeling defeated when starting to wonder if he could control the weather.
3:53 Tokka, from the TMNT film sequel The Secret Of The Ooze (1991), is a spiked turtle like that! Tokka and Rahzar are products of the ooze and are villians. I actually have a friend named Toka (her name is pronounced the same but spelled differently).
Eating ANOTHER Weird History meal! Eating TOP RAMEN CHICKEN* and drinking Earl Grey tea with a splash of milk...while watching this Weird History video! * From the Weird History Food video "How the Cup Noodles Empire Was Built"
Stories about the Carthaginian leader Hannibal I like the most . He kept his army on Roman soil for many years and they couldn't do anything about it , legendary
Problem: UA-cam algorithm needs more viewer engagement to promote channel. Solution: periodically replace S-teir narrator to a flood of angry comments, reinstate said narrator for a second wave of relieved users celebrating in the comments.
Most of these warriors are conquerers too. I would suggest looking into the Sikh empire. They only faught to protect their land and to safe others. Hari Singh Nalwa was one incredible commander and warrior
2:01 I imagine the knot challenge in the book Maniac Magee by John Spinelli (1991) was inspired from Gordian Knot legend. Maniac Magee won the contest and received a large pizza every week, which was unfortunate because he was allergic to pizza. The book won the Newberry Medal for 1991.
"what things you want to hear about".... Castle building. I dont think people realize how big of a deal that was. I heard a story about a castle that took over a decade to build and had over 3,000 people working on it 24hours a day. The line of people cued up to take materials to their spot they said was 1/4 mile long at almost all times. People set up little sales places to sell food and stuff at the site even. I worked in a place that was the size of 2 football fields easily and there were a couple hundred of us working and working 12 hour shifts.....but I cant imagine more than 10x that many people milling around, for 24 hours a day, back then. I think that is insane. There are videos about that, sure, but they are much, MUCH longer......and they dont have your "flair"....your take would probably be really cool. And much more time convenient. You could even break it up and do multiple videos. At any rate, thanks for being awesome! Your videos are great!
2:17 The film Spartacus (1960) is another Stanley Kubrick classic! Haley, one of the reacters on the channel REACT, has Kubrick tattooed on her because of the impact he has had on her.
The Hippopatomus is mighty too. Not to bright though. Have you ever seen an Elephant stampede in person? Have you ever seen Moose during rutting season trying to settle their dispute about which one of them is going to get the cow - Right next to your house? Have you ever seen a bear climbing the same ladder as your are after that bear has become so fed up with all of the forest fires around? Have you ever seen 2 adult bears fighting while one is a female bear who is more concerned about her cubs while you are out on a hike?
Ahhh, the classic voice is back... My soul is at peace now. Not that the other guy is bad (nothing against him), but this narrator's voice is really warm and makes the videos even more enjoyable.
The channel will basically die without him.
@@kevinsconcealment870 I'm not sure about that, but they would have to hit a home run with a new narrator, because this one and the channel seem like a match made in heaven. Agreed with oc.

Thank God it's Tom again, your narration is what keeps me coming back.
I held my breath as I was clicking on this new episode. And YES!!! He is back!! I can breathe easy now. 😊
Same!
Same! Haha
Same!! 😂
I checked the comments just to see if everyone had the same feeling of relief. 😂
You should check the other video man, no one was happy with the change
I was scared for a moment that he wasn't coming back. I did not realize I could get separation anxiety for a narrator.
Our beloved Tom Blank
1. Great having the narrator back 2. Absolutely great seeing Shaka Zulu on the list but 3. Yes it would have been nice to see Crazy Horse included. He fought hard for the Lakota
Although his channels mostly eurocentric, I enjoy his narration and the history.
I was thinking this was a pretty good list while at the same time adding The names of those who didn't make the cut. Forgetting Crazy Horse Makes me feel like a dumbass, so I appreciate the reminder, And now I'm thinking of chief Joseph Geronimo etc.
✌️
Yas! The most recognizable voice for this channel is back!
This narrator needs a podcast. I just wanna listen to him for hours on end
I think I've heard his voice on other UA-cam channels. I think.
@@dawnysinger7835 you are probably right. I think I have as well
His name is TOM BLANK
I literally listen to him to fall asleep most nights (in a good way) love the story telling ❤
The return of the king.
One voice to rule them all. He's back!🎉
YES HE'S BACK!!!!! 👍🏾💯
Oh our favourite narrator is back! He really makes us so more involved with the video content ❤
Oh thank God, the narrator is back!

That was my first thought!
I came here for the same reason! Yay he’s back!
Yeyyyy! This was the force that made me a subscriber hehehe.
Awesome to hear that you’re back, Tom. :)
By the Gods! the voice of God himself has returned!
Welcome back narrator! You were EXTREMELY missed.
THE OG NARRATOR IS BACK!
I’m so happy the real narrator is back. I could not finish that last video 😂
Yes, I admit that I too left.
This is wild I never knew how many others hung their love of this channel on this guy's voice. But it's true, his style is irreplaceable!!
Love this narrator
Yay! Our wonderful narrator is back!😊🙏❤️
Ahh there you go. Thought we lost you for a minute then phew
THANK GOD HE'S BACK!!!!

Likewise.
"Heeee's Baaaaaaaaaack!!!!" Our fearless favorite narrator returns!!!
The most satisfying sigh of relief heard around the Weird History Fan World. Narrator's still with us, give our dude a raise, he's wildly beloved!!!
Forgot Jan Zizka, blind badass from Prague who upon losing sight in both his eyes simply stated that he would fight his enemies at night. And he did, and he won.
Yes!
Sorry to the other narrator but our OG is BACK!! I love this channel, and the current narrator is a big part of why I watch this channel religiously. Thank you for your service. It really is captivating content & we really do appreciate you. ❤

Stewie: Yea, I would stop doing that if I was you.
Boudica! Always loved her story! 👏👏👏

Thank you, Lord!! OG narrator is back!!
Nothing against the other guy, BUT this channel has but 1 Narrator 🥰 and he's back baby 🎉
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Really love the subject of warriors!
I don't dislike the narrator from the this one or anything but this dude is who I think of when I think Weird History, his voice fits the tone of these type of videos perfectly

I didnt make it through the other guys video yesterday.. Nothing personal, but this guys voice and timing is THE reason I watch this channel.
4:52 Hahaha!
That speech is my favorite part of Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985), LOVE IT!
Great video - was expecting to see William Marshal.
THANK YEW TOM
Oh happy day. No weird annoying voice over🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I would like to hear more about Boudica and Xian Yu

Imagine being the other narrator, honestly I feel bad for him. He tried his best, but the crowd wanted this dude instead haha
Bohemian Jan Zizka deserves a mention. He was so badass, he was still leading armies despite having lost the use of both his eyes from previous battles and was undefeated as a general.
Basically invented the tank too, but then everyone forgot about it for 500 years
It's unfortunate he existed around the same time as Joan of Arc, so the historical spotlight quite ironically casts him in shadow.
Mushasi wasn't always a Ronin but served different Daimyos and participated in samurai army force on force combat.
His stressed simplicity in fighting style as well as stamina - If you can fight for 15 minutes straight you have a good chance of surviving hand to hand combat.

Could you do a video on the history of holidays or Bout legends associated with holidays?
I just had a wicked case of separation anxiety.
You really do have a mesmerizing voice. Well done on another great history video!
Thank you for bringing back the original narrator
0:01 Gladiator is such a great film, that is a MUST SEE!
I think you guys should do a more in depth video of Queen Boudica (if you haven't already), cause damn, she was a hard core badass
I am so glad the narrator is back now. Life can go on.😄
How tall was queen Budica believed to be? I tried to google it but couldn't find anything.
Sorry I'm late... I battled my way through an entire bag of Funions to get here.
Awesome, he’s back!
I feel for you, other voice. I know you are giving it your best and doing what you love and i support it ❤
Are you making timeline 2000’s anytime soon?
LOL! We were all up in arms after that last video! I guess no vacations for you Mr. Narrator! 🤣
😊❤ THANKS 👍 FOR BRINGING BACK MY NARRATOR!!!!!
The pee wee Herman clip was peak comedy
If crazy horse isn't in this I'm gonna be so disappointed
I'd rather it be rolling thunder in it because he must have done something right when becoming a legend while some people following the story from afar were going mad while feeling defeated when starting to wonder if he could control the weather.
He's BACK!!!!
Saladin's Army - Alright guys lets get a plan together. So first we will..
Saladin - LEEEEEROY JENKIN!!!!

Welcome back! These vids are the best❤
I am a simple Romanian man. I see Vlad the Impaler, I click like.
Thanks for this! 🛡
We missed you!
I appreciate the breadth and diversity. Great video!
I’m so happy having our narrator back where he belongs. Plus, awesome video today
Love this narrator!!! So entertaining

The love of God keep the narrator who it is that's who we grew to love
Obviously they didn't teach Leonidas I to wear pants. Lol
For more about Boudica, J Draper has a much more detailed video.

My king of kings
❤thank you your back 🎉
😊 the voice is soothing and familiar yay
Ok sooooo thankful to hear the normal narrator!
Wow. 34k and after an hour it’s 60. This channel will hit a millie ina week
I'm glad the regular guy is back.
