Whenever you are back in California at Disneyland, take a trip up north to San Francisco to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum. I’ve been there a couple of times and highly recommend it. There are some good restaraunts in the area too. You can also take a peek at the Lucasfilm campus nearby and take a few pics of the Yoda statue out front.
I went to this exhibit in May and the second we walked in, I knew MAM had to see it too. It’s just chock full of SO MUCH detail and history and every section had things that hit in the feels. I am so happy Molly and Alan got to do this and that they get to share their experience with all of us.
Thank you for making this video!! My husband and I are both former CMs and lifetime fans of all things Disney, it brought me to tears multiple times. Seeing all the memorabilia that has been such an integral part of the company is amazing. To see that the two of you share these same feelings warms my heart.
What a wonderful treat to see this amazing Disney 100th Exhibit through Molly and Alan's eyes along their emotions seeing the Animation Art with sound Magical!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I definitely believe in some aspect of “people are born to do certain things”, so there is no doubt in my heart that Molly was born to Disney. Molly is everything that the spirit of Disney should be
This was extremely enjoyable. I would love to see on video when Molly asks Joel Roadie if his earring is the source of all of his power?😂 Thank you, thank you, thank you for incorporating Philly cheesesteak and pretzel eating and what you purchased at each store. Because inquiring minds want to know.😮 Thank you mammoth club.
I went to this exhibit the day it opened and it brings me so much comfort to know that the same things that made Molly emotional also made me emotional 😭 Reading Terminal is the BEST!!! Glad you enjoyed your time in Philly!!
I’m so glad y’all got to see it and it brought you both so much happiness!! 🤗 We were there the following day, and I was absolutely floored by everything there. It truly is overwhelming! If anyone else hasn’t been yet and plans to go, be aware that it takes a LONG time to get through everything. It’s a large exhibit. It took us just over 3 hrs, and about halfway through we started really rushing because there’s no bathrooms until the very end of the exhibit lol This exhibit alone is an all day thing! Edit to add that the music in the different languages was my absolute favorite part 🥹
I'm so glad you two hit up this exhibit. The range of items seems well-balanced, and I like the layout. I really appreciate how much you know and how enthusiastic you are about sharing lore. Nerd generosity is COOL.
You totally miss the story of the Little Mermaid. It’s the story of a Father and a Daughter. Ariel does what she does to rebel against her father. Ursula uses her to trap Triton and Triton sacrifices himself to free Ariel of the curse. It’s about a Father’s Love.
I will not stand for Ariel slander 😂 Ariel didn’t change herself and give up her voice solely for a man. Her entire life she has been fascinated by humans. Yes, her seeing Eric made her curiosity and desire to be human stronger, but all of that was already there. Ursula saw an opportunity to capitalize on that. Not only could she make Ariel human, but she could make it permanent by making Eric fall in love with her. I think the tour of the kingdom scene shows how much she loved the human world and to be in it. Also, Ariel did save Eric from drowning and from marrying Vanessa so she isn’t completely helpless. Okay, I’ll get off my soap box now 😅🤣 Another great video! Loved seeing so much of the exhibit since I probably won’t be able to go. Might if teared up myself a few times. 🤍
Emmy C. Hi, Molly and Alan! Thanks so much for this video! We’ll be buying tickets for this show shortly. The Harry Potter Exhibit last year was fantastic as well. The Franklin Institute is one of the many wonderful museums in Philadelphia. A weekend visit to Philly is well worth the trip! I’d love for you to visit all the Disney Parks around the world, especially Tokyo! You both are the best!
It’s no wonder we get so emotional and nostalgic about original Disney. The artistry and heart that used to be. What a beautiful exhibit! Thanks for taking us along.
What a cool experience! I swear every video I learn so much. I truly enjoy watching their videos no matter what the content. It feels like your watching family. Side note the Winnie-the-Pooh crop top comment cracked me up! 😂
The cartoon shown at 26:42 is from a late-1930s Silly Symphony called "Merbabies." Sea foam turns into little sea sprite cherub-children, who then have an underwater circus with different sea creatures. There's an earlier Silly Symphony called "Water Babies" that was similar (and cuter, IMO). My grandparents had a hardcover book about the Water Babies printed in the mid-1930s that I was obsessed with as a small child.
I cried so many moments at this exhibit. The entrance. The Storm Troopers, the original pieces. Another patron and I danced together to almost there. Great time sharing the magic.
It's great to see you and Alan in my area! As a child who went on many field trips to the Franklin Institute, the heart was terrifying to me. Can't wait to visit the Disney exhibit for my birthday!
My wife and I were there 2 weeks ago. It's an excellent exhibit. We spent close to 4 hours reading everything. (We had a feeling you guys would do a video there)
We could list every cool thing y'all saw, but that would be a novel of a comment. Beyond cool exhibit, than you for filming! We most likely won't be able to get up there to see it, so thank you for letting us live vicariously through y'all!
I'm glad you got to see it My family went in March for my bday. We loved the 100th Disney exhibit. Franklin Institute has hosted a lot of amazing exhibits, Stawars, Disney, History of Video Games, Marvel, and many others. Seeing the exhibit was great since we are going to Disney World this fall.
Hello Molly, Hello Alan I aboslutly adore all of your content. Last year I took a course at university on the history of animation. During that lecture I learned a very interesting fact that I have not known before. In 1926 „Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed“ (The Adventures of Prince Achmed) by German film maker Lotte Reiniger was released. It is said to be the first full length animated film (65 mins) ever released in cinemas. Like you mentioned and I had also previously thought, Snow White and the seven dwarfs is usually named as the first full length animated feature film. That is kind of true because all the frames were hand drawn and then through taking pictures of those painted cells a moving image would result. In German you would say „Zeichentrick“ (drawing trick). Lotte Reiniger’s film in comparison is made with silhouettes that have been cut out and moved after each picture. (One could say it is some kind of flat slow motion). Because she used another technique, which wasn’t the „Zeichentrick“ it is usually not included in the discussion of the first animated feature film. I would absolutely love for you to check this film out. It is so very beautiful and artistic and is not talked about enough! (I think the film is on UA-cam :)) Keep doing the great work!! Greatings from Switzerland! Love, Gioia
I have been waiting for this video since I saw that you went on Insta! I'm a philly native and the franklin Institute is one of my favorite museums of all time! Many happy childhood memories. I went to the Disney 100 exhibit on opening day and it was magical ❤ So glad you both got to see it as well!
Loved this, and how emotional and genuine you both are. As for suggestions, where next? What about Disneyland Paris? MAM fam loves them some cheese and carbs, and where better to experience them than in Paris!? We are just back from a week ‘lost in the magic’ and celebrating the end of the 30th anniversary. We stayed at Newport Bay club, which was perfect and we had the most amazing time! Recently seen some influencers popping up reviewing Paris, (from Florida) but yours is the only opinion that matters! Get yourselves over here!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one to cry at this exhibition! Fortunately, I’m local and will be going back before it closes. Mary Poppins was my first movie in 1964 - I was 3 and my mother said I cried at the end because I didn’t want it to be over. If anyone can see this exhibit, please do, you won’t be sorry. Now I’m off to buy tickets again!
Trying to figure out when I can get there. I would be geeking out so much. Also, any recommendations on books about Disney history? I just find it all very interesting.
Molly come back to Philly someday. You could do Redding terminal market, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, an Eagles tailgate (your viewers may not be ready for that). love all your videos
We have the exhibition in Germany aswell and I'm definitely going. Can't wait to see it! Disney has been a part of my life since I was a small child, so it is going to be pretty emotional for me also.
Loved, loved, loved this vid!!! We live about 4 hours from Philly and just might have to make the trip to the museum. Molly I was all teary just watching and seeing the exhibits, especially Walt's handwriting!!!!! Now I know I need to bring lots of tissues with me if we get to go! Thanks so much for sharing this.
So excited Mam Fam came to Philly! I have lived here for almost 7 years now and really feel it’s a city that doesn’t get enough love. Miller’s Twist pretzels are my absolute favorite snack in the world! Thanks for stopping by and showing the city of brotherly love some love ❤ May have to check out the D100 exhibit this summer!
Love this. I grew up in South Jersey (still live there today) and we went to BFI every year for class trips. I haven't been through that heart since I was like 10 years old. Brings back memories. So glad you did this video. I remember when they announced the exhibit and was like "I have to go" but then sort of forgot about it as life gets in the way. Now it is back on my to do list.
We live locally and I finally got my kids to the exhibit before it closes on the 27th. It was wonderful! And thanks to your video I already knew a lot of the history behind the items on display. Glad you made it to Reading Terminal, it's the best!!
My daughter lives in Philly. I just happened to book a trip to visit her and was there when this exhibit opened up. We went that very first day and LOVED it! It was pretty crowded and all the merch was super picked over but so glad we did it!
yay!!! so glad you guys made it to this! The Franklin Institute is one of my favorite places, from growing up near philly. and this exhibit was amazing!
Welcome to Philadelphia! I’m bummed that we missed you guys by about 15 hours. We went to the Disney 100 exhibit the night before you. We definitely need to go back and experience it one more time before it’s done. It was so fun watching you guys experience the Franklin Institute! We have a membership and go there all the time. Hope to catch you guys the next time you’re in the neighborhood!
I watched this over 2 trips the the airport. Both times I was intoxicated and both times I held back tears in a public place. This video also convinced me to change some travel plans to go to Philly! Unbelievable video once again! ❤️❤️
Aw yay, welcome to Philly! Haha, I got to the end of your video and felt so proud to be from the Philly area after your glowing cheesesteak/pretzel reviews! 😄
Thank you so much for sharing this, I also shed some tears(especially hearing walts voice, gets me, i cry everytime i watch the imagineering series)while you showed some amazing disney history, I was cooking and my husband walked in wondering what happened. 😂 I wish I could go to this, thank you for sharing ❤❤
This was my favorite MC vid yet. The emotion you both experienced in that exhibition shows just how much you truly love Disney history. I loved hearing your extra knowledge that absolutely enhanced the exhibit. And Miller’s Twist at the end…your friend certainly has good taste. Miller’s is my favorite part of Philly.
@@leener33gmail we live in VA but happened to be visiting Philly the weekend Molly and Alan were there and we DID run into them at the Franklin. It was so cool!
We went to this last month - Mother's Day present from my wonderful daughter. Really loved it - we also bought t-shirts- we knew there would be a store at the end. LOL
I'd love to see you visit Walt Disney's home town in Marceline Missouri. It's a small town of about 2500 people. The Walt Disney Hometown Museum is there. Mainstreet USA in Disneyland was inspired by Marceline. As an adult Walt wrote, "To tell the truth, more things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened to me since, or are likely to in the future." They just celebrated the 100 years of Disney Magic in Marceline and Citizen donated a replica Main Street USA Clock to the Walt Disney Hometown Museum Garden.
Mammoth Club in my city! i LOVED the Disney100 exhibit, can’t wait to go back. the cheesesteaks in reading terminal are the best, glad you both liked them!
I went to Philly a couple of weeks ago and stumbled upon this exhibit while walking to the art museum. Had no idea this existed but best believe I got me some tickets for the walk back. Incredible!
I’m 10 minutes from Philly and you guys got to see it before me😂! Going to save this video for later bc I plan to go and want to be surprised but next time you get to the Franklin Institute, walk in the giant heart! Awesome memories of going through that as a kid like 47 billion times.👍🏼
Thank you, I love your video style, how you show us details and share you reactions. I will not be able to visit so this video is a fantastic next best thing.
The Astro Orbiter at Disneyland did indeed sit atop the Peoplemover loading area from 1967 to 1998! Magic Kingdom’s was a copied form that with a slightly different design. And that was not a first-edition original Matterhorn bobsled. That one was around 1990.
Great vid! Glad you made it to Philly. I cried my eyeballs out when I saw the Snow White and sleeping beauty story books. Ugly cry. Thanks for doing your tour, my daughter and husband loved watching too! It was fun for them to see which things that “both Molly and Mommy cried at” lol. Also glad you went to Reading Terminal- totally legit but girllllll next time you are in Philly ask for some recs for real Phila soft pretzels- your buttery style was I’m sure delish but you haven’t had the authentic thing yet… all the more reason to come back! Also to try another cheesesteak where you can choose “wiz wit” or “wiz witout” Love you guys!!!!
Oh my gosh Molly I live in NJ and I saw the exhibit 2 weeks ago , I felt silly because I cried too. Being to Disney one hundred times I didn’t think it would make me so emotional. I loved it. Would have just died if I randomly saw you and Alan🧚
Wow that's my neck of the woods. I work I'm walking distance of this location. That museum does a lot of great exhibits like Pixar, Marvel & Harry Potter. All really amazing! And the museum itself is really fun
This looks like so much fun! Have you ever been to the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco? I’m local to it but only went once for my birthday a few years ago. Lots of history and a really neat place to visit!
+1 on the WD Family Museum being well worth a visit. I only went one time, but it was very entertaining and educational on Disney background. The model of the Disneyland that never was is outstanding, and also loved the train exhibits that (IIRC) were in that general area. (not that I didn't enjoy the rest of it, those were just my faves) And as a final reason to visit, for any Star Wars fans, you can also see the Yoda statue over in the courtyard at the Lucasfilm area of the Presidio.
The question isn't "will Molly cry?", the question is "how often will Molly cry?" 😂
Turn it into a drinking game...? 😋
@@chasemorrison8596 haha, I should do that next time!
Every time Molly cries, I cry 😂
I’m not saying I’m glad that Molly cries at everything but I AM saying that I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that does❤️😂

Me too!

We were stationed in Philly for 3 years and my daughter was born just outside Philly. I loved the old buildings.

I’m 10 minutes from Philly and you guys got to see it before me😂! Going to save this video for later bc I plan to go and want to be surprised but next time you get to the Franklin Institute, walk in the giant heart! Awesome memories of going through that as a kid like 47 billion times.👍🏼
Would have loved to run into you guys while you were in Philly!! I did the exhibit the weekend it opened. Glad you guys got to check it out!
Thank you, I love your video style, how you show us details and share you reactions. I will not be able to visit so this video is a fantastic next best thing.
Ah my home town. How exciting!
The Astro Orbiter at Disneyland did indeed sit atop the Peoplemover loading area from 1967 to 1998! Magic Kingdom’s was a copied form that with a slightly different design. And that was not a first-edition original Matterhorn bobsled. That one was around 1990.
Two of my favorite Philly stops. Really enjoyed this video❤️
Haha the How I Met Your Mother nod at the beginning 😂 Loved it
Also to try another cheesesteak where you can choose “wiz wit” or “wiz witout”
Love you guys!!!!
My 7yo loved watching this with me! Now we need to get to Philly. Great video ❤
I love this! I live about an hour from Marceline, and I was so excited when I got to go to the museum there.
Someday Mammoth Club will be in an exhibit, featured as the very BEST Disney You Tubers!!
(not that I didn't enjoy the rest of it, those were just my faves)
And as a final reason to visit, for any Star Wars fans, you can also see the Yoda statue over in the courtyard at the Lucasfilm area of the Presidio.
Omg I'll be here in less then a month! Can't wait to watch! 😍
I’m so excited you came to Philly! But sad I missed you guys yet again!
Watching tonight to prepare to see the exhibit in Chicago tomorrow!!!! I’m going to cry!!!!❤❤❤
Hershey Pa! So much to see and do and close to
Philly, Lancaster, Gettysburg, Baltimore, DC and NEW York City
I love how much you love all things Disney.
