Brit fam here! Can confirm beans on a jacket potato is very much a thing. Even more so when you put cheese on it too. Beans and cheese is, imo, the best way to eat a delicious hot jacket potato 😊
I’ve always wondered why baked beans is such a thing in the UK. My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. He loves baked beans, although I know the ones in the US are a bit different in sauce than in the UK. When my daughter was little, she’d have me make her beans and toast because she loves Peppa Pig❤
I'm a model maker -it's lovely to see people understand and appreciate how much work it takes to make something of that scale and detail. I'd cry at it too!
Ah I worked on the opening of this tour and it’s so nice to see people loving it and even see a little bit of my work still surviving. You definitely need to come see the originals in London. There’s something special about the originals. 😊
Baked beans on jacket potatoes is normal, though the ones you had looked outrageously dry. They’re usually covered in a tomato sauce. Also, the treacle tart was served with clotted cream (a type of cream we usually have with scones and only sometimes with desserts), definitely not butter 😊 👍🏻 ETA: I’m 90% sure the Happy Birthday cake is basically a Bakewell Tart (almond sponge, icing, raspberry jam and a pastry shell).
Thank you! I was hoping someone would have already clarified that in Britain, beans on a jacket potato is about unique as cheese on a burger (i.e. probably one of the most common jacket potato toppings, especially with cheese too), but it's not beans like the ones in the video. Those looked like butter beans in quite a dry/thick sauce based on tomato puree (I think that's known as tomato paste in America). UK baked beans for jacket potato, English breakfast or beans on toast is usually haricot beans in a sweetened, runny tomato sauce (which looks more like Boston beans but not as thick or seasoned as that). I'm still laughing at the idea of salad with a fry up! Having said that, I'm definitely going to try cheese on toast the next time I make a full English. I wonder if this is an example of modifying dishes to use locally available ingredients and/or recipes created based on photographs rather than familiarity. If so, Mam crew are lucky that they weren't served black pudding!
For anyone confused about the tomato sauce in this comment - it's not ketchup - it's the tomato sauce that comes with our (usually Heinz) baked beans. The potato inside should also be fluffed up with loads of butter then filled with melted cheddar cheese and ideally some back bacon lardons as well. Yum.
Jacket potatoes with beans are common in England, though they usually come with cheese on top too. Also in England in the Harry Potter tour, if its your birthday you can be the one to open the door to the great hall which is an amazing little surprise treat when you go.
You need to come to the uk one. Clearly smaller than the japan one but seeing the original sets is amazing. I cried at the reveal of the hall, gringotts, and the model.
I was fortunate enough to go to the Tour in London with my boyfriend, who is not a big Harry Potter fan, but is a big movie fan. It was such a fun experience for the both of us! He tells me he should've had a camera ready because I almost burst into tears seeing the Hogwarts Express 😅 Glad you guys had lots of fun in Tokyo!
This whole exhibition is so mind blowing, and it’s another thing I am so happy our favorite trio got to see together. Add it to the list of reasons I need to get myself to Japan one day
40:00 "The Lava business is going well!" I roared with laughter! I had been thinking that surely the Lava business would be a better place for the elves and Max could have some great programs for housing and employee benefits but hadn't been sure if the Lava business would be just a different 'coal mine' for the elves but hey there is always profit sharing!
Yes,beans in a jacket potato is definitely a thing. We also do tuna and sweet corn in a jacket potatoes. Alan, are you sure it wasn’t clotted cream with the treacle tart?
Was here in September and was such a cool experience. Me and my friend are huge HP nerds (I use to go to conventions like Leakycon) and this exhibit blew my mind. Also I am also glad they stopped at Deathly Hallows and didnt include that other franchise......"nope not that one we ignore that one"
The next MAM trip definitely needs to be to London for the studios, King's Cross, etc, there's even a hotel in Broadstairs randomly full of Mina Lima art! (Plus a trip to DLP!) I'm an Aussie who moved to London and is a huge HP nerd, it's been 8 years and I still get excited seeing places featured in the films or watching the movies and recognising places I didn't know about before living here 💖
the birthday cake looks like it's a Frangipan tart - sweet crust pastry, raspberry jam on the bottom then almond paste that's baked, then it usually has white water icing on the top.
I genuinely cackle every time there is a Cunningham Muffins quote, accent, or supercut-style merch narration. It's seriously my favorite thing about Mammoth Club videos, LOL!
I’m a Brit and can confirm we have beans in a jacket potato and it’s even better with greated cheese on top. Loving your Japan trip vlogs, definitely on my bucket list.
Love this so much!! I’ve watched this 3 times already, this exhibit is amazing. I’m a huge Potter fan. Thank you so much for sharing this. I love your videos!!
Molly, it's okay....so many people cry when they see the Hogwarts model at the studios in London. It's the clever way it just appears and the combination of lighting and music. I cried like a baby when I saw it dressed for Christmas-perfection! Xxx
Ohhh... I'm late to this video but THIS takes me back. I worked at the Studio Tour London, which is actually my hometown Watford but London is close enough :D I worked there for about a year and a half when it opened, and I would go and sit and look at the Hogwarts model on my break times, and sometimes after my shift I would go and walk around all the exhibits. I worked in the gift shop and... Well lets just say, I don't regret working there but I am glad it's in my past, haha! The tour is just fantastic though. Highly, highly recommended. Also, when you guys were stood outside on privet drive, it looks so much like the houses in Watford where the movies were filmed, because of the shot on location stuff. I would love to chat to Molly about it all, I'm sure there's some things I know that she might not! Though she definitely has me beat in terms of trivia. In my HP fan days, I was a Ravenclaw, though being lgbt+ makes it difficult for me to endorse the franchise these days. Still, this video was amazing, very similar to the UK tour, I hope Mammoth Club gets there one day (if only to try a proper jacket potato with beans and cheese). Love to the Mam fam ❤
Love how they blended elements from the London Studio Tour with their own unique spin. Honestly expected an entire hour of Molly crying like I did in London 😂
As a Brit, yes baked potatoe with proper baked beans and melted cheese on top is soooo good 🤤! Those beans looked so dry though! The treacle tart looked like it had clotted cream from Cornwall on the side but it's better with Custard! A proper Full English doesnt have cheese on toast. Its normaly just normal toast. The chips aren't proper chippy chips these are fries and the ones in Universal were weirdly wedges which were so strange to us! America needs to learn to make proper chip shop chips they are the best! Love your videos Mammoth Club ❤ xx
Why can’t they build one of these here in the United States! ❤ I love your videos! They are my favorite for all thing Universal or Harry Potter. The back story info sets your videos apart from others.
Jacket potato eith beans is absolutely a staple food over here in the UK! The skin needs to be very crispy, and there needs to be lashings of butter melted into the potatoes. Top with grated Cheddar cheese 👌 we have jacket 'spud' vans dotted around in the North West of England. 🥔🧀🧈
Yes in the UK baked beans in a jacket potato is a THING! Its a very normal thing here people always eat it! They put lots of things on baked potatoes! Chilli, beans, tuna mayo, cheese + beans, Cheese with the tuna etc! The beans were way way too dry though if its not swimming in the sauce its sad!
I’ve been to both (the original one in London and the one in Tokyo) and really loved both. However, London could not be matched. The energy felt different because it’s the original one
You guys should come to London Warner Bro studios, it's the best. As you know it's not to imitate the sets, but the real thing, you guys would love it; especially Molly.
I am British and yes can confirm jacket potato is a thing - most commonly with cheese and beans but also commonly with things like coleslaw / salad or chilli. It was a staple on the school lunch menu and often served in cafes and various lunch places!
I cannot wait till you guys go to the Harry Potter filming locations in the UK some day. I've had the pleasure of riding the train before social media made it so popular and it was incredible. I hope you all can experience it soon 🤓
Oh Max, you have lived a sheltered life my friend - one of my specialties is a big fluffy king Edward jacket potato filled with copious amounts of cheese and beans. Delicious mate 😋
Brit fam here! Can confirm beans on a jacket potato is very much a thing. Even more so when you put cheese on it too. Beans and cheese is, imo, the best way to eat a delicious hot jacket potato 😊
I love a baked potato with loads of butter, baked beans and a slice of corned Beef, mind you the baked beans look a bit dry for me
I’ve always wondered why baked beans is such a thing in the UK. My husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. He loves baked beans, although I know the ones in the US are a bit different in sauce than in the UK. When my daughter was little, she’d have me make her beans and toast because she loves Peppa Pig❤
We do chili on baked potatoes here so not that far off!
If memory serves, you can get beans on your potato at the jacked potato stand near Grimmauld Place at Universal Studios Orlando
As a fellow Brit I also love a bit of brown sauce (HP is best) on my cheesy beans jacket spud 🥔 🥰
Oh my gosh those headbands are ✨everything✨! This exhibit looks so fun! Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank YOU for sharing your Japan adventures ✨ we can form a “beauty and the beast” made me cry club 🤣
When two of my favorite channels collide! 💜
I’ve been watching you both Kitra and both of you guys captured such different aspects of Japan! Love all you guys!!!
I'm a model maker -it's lovely to see people understand and appreciate how much work it takes to make something of that scale and detail. I'd cry at it too!

Don’t get jealous. It’s original too second place in Tokyo.😉
Baked beans on jacket potatoes is normal, though the ones you had looked outrageously dry. They’re usually covered in a tomato sauce.

I was also thinking the birthday cake was a bakewell tart 🎉

I’m very behind with videos so late comment but I also though it looked like a twist in a Bakewell tart.
Yum.

Baked Potato and cheesy beans also the norm here in Scotland 😊
You need to come to the uk one. Clearly smaller than the japan one but seeing the original sets is amazing. I cried at the reveal of the hall, gringotts, and the model.
I went in August, and it was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time!!
WOW, this may be my favorite Mammoth Club video....truly amazing! Thanks so much for this gem!!
This whole exhibition is so mind blowing, and it’s another thing I am so happy our favorite trio got to see together. Add it to the list of reasons I need to get myself to Japan one day
Or go to the origional one where the film was actually made in the UK? I live just down the road from it and can confirm it's amazing! 😁
@@EmM-qm2mq that’s amazing you love so close! The UK one is absolutely on the bucket list too
The headbands need to be in Orlando stat!
Thank you Molly for representing us Potter fans! Love how much you love all the HP things. ❤
40:00 "The Lava business is going well!" I roared with laughter! Man this is so awesome!! I wish they had something like this in the states.
WOW, WOW, WOW. What an amazing Experience!!! Thanks for sharing guys, great job!!
I adore how often Molly says "this is my favorite part" how incredible to have so many ❤
The number of “best” moments for Molly is so on brand. I love how much joy this brings you.
Watching Molly geeking out for just over an hour over Harry Potter.....errr....yes please...
AMAZING is all I can say. Thanks for bringing me. LOVE the MAMFAM ☺️👍💜
This was amazing. I loved all your wonderful reactions to everything. I would have cried too! And once again, Japan, you so extra. Never change.
The next MAM trip definitely needs to be to London for the studios, King's Cross, etc, there's even a hotel in Broadstairs randomly full of Mina Lima art! (Plus a trip to DLP!) I'm an Aussie who moved to London and is a huge HP nerd, it's been 8 years and I still get excited seeing places featured in the films or watching the movies and recognising places I didn't know about before living here 💖
“She can get it” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 This was a cool tour!
Molly refusing to acknowledge the Fantastic Beasts portions is almost as good of a running joke as being Armageddoned! 😂
You get it.
As a big fan of Fantastic Beasts, I do wish if Molly doesn't want to see those parts, that one of the other two would show us.
"Max is a free elf!" Hilarious and amazing. This whole experience looks incredible. I want that Hedwig wand!
the birthday cake looks like it's a Frangipan tart - sweet crust pastry, raspberry jam on the bottom then almond paste that's baked, then it usually has white water icing on the top.
I genuinely cackle every time there is a Cunningham Muffins quote, accent, or supercut-style merch narration. It's seriously my favorite thing about Mammoth Club videos, LOL!
Strawburrry!
I can feel the spirits of Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon absolutely vibing with this. Live the dream, MAM! 💙🦅
The video I’ve been waiting for! Just been to the London studio tour for the first time in July, this is my next goal!
The studio tour is definitely something on my bucket list. (Either London or Tokyo!)
That was super satisfying. Thank you for taking us along. Loved your guys’ acting, I think some more green screen fun should be scheduled for ya. ;)
For reasons that don't bear going into here, I've given up HP.
However, watching Molly geek out over HP will never get old.
Omg 😆 what a dream!!!!! Loving 🥰 the head bands!!! This so so awesome 👏. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us 😊❤❤
I didn't even know this existed! Thanks for finding this experience and taking us all along with you! Gryffindor, forever!
I’m a Brit and can confirm we have beans in a jacket potato and it’s even better with greated cheese on top. Loving your Japan trip vlogs, definitely on my bucket list.
I love that you did this! Thank you so much for sharing this!
YES! A supersized Mammoth Club video that's all Harry Potter. These are the best videos.
Love this so much!! I’ve watched this 3 times already, this exhibit is amazing. I’m a huge Potter fan. Thank you so much for sharing this. I love your videos!!
Thank you for taking us to the Harry Potter Exhibit in Tokyo, Mammoth Gang ❤
Molly, it's okay....so many people cry when they see the Hogwarts model at the studios in London. It's the clever way it just appears and the combination of lighting and music. I cried like a baby when I saw it dressed for Christmas-perfection! Xxx
Amazing! Perfect trio to take my through this exhibit! Great video ❤
That intro was EPIC!!!! You all are the best!💜💜💜
lol the blooper at the end was 👩🏻🍳😘 looks like a magical experience!
Awesome video, would definitely recommend a London trip.
Looks like clotted cream which accompanied the treacle tart which is one of the best foods ever! Could eat it with a spoon
This place is so AMAZING! I’m definitely making time to go there if I visit Tokyo.
It’s cool to see what is different it is to the WB Studio London. ❤
Love the ears Max! Thanks for being a good sport!

Massive fan from England here! Beans in a jacket potato is a thing here, even better with cheese on top! Love you guys! ❤️
Fellow Slytherin, here. Sorry but as a private chef…that bacon scared me… was it even cooked? Lol!! I just love ya’ll so much.
Okay but at least you and Alan got patronuses of the people who ended up married so it fits
I thought it was sweet too.
This is definitely better than the one in London (except that London has the actual sets/filming locations)! Adding it to my bucket list!! 😄
Love how they blended elements from the London Studio Tour with their own unique spin. Honestly expected an entire hour of Molly crying like I did in London 😂
That scene on the train was from fantastic beast and where to find them the secrets of Dumbledore when they were coming up with the plan.
My favorite shop would be ollivanders(wand shop).
We need a Mammoth club London trip!
Omg!! Dooby you are freeeeeeeee! This is my dreM. Love this experience
As a Brit, yes baked potatoe with proper baked beans and melted cheese on top is soooo good 🤤!

Beans on a jacket potato in the UK is a definite Yes! As others have said, with cheese - and lots of butter!! 👍😀
Adam really does need a monorail poster! I love all of your videos! ❤️🚋🎢🏚️
Why can’t they build one of these here in the United States! ❤ I love your videos! They are my favorite for all thing Universal or Harry Potter. The back story info sets your videos apart from others.
Molly looks like she could actually handle some business in a brawl! Lolol! GREAT video MAM, as always! Thank you ❤😊❤
Malt vinegar is de rigour on fish and chips. And I suspect the 'butter ' served with your treacle tart was clotted cream
Jacket potato and baked beans - but usually much less dry than they looked to be honest...yummy snack at lunchtime
Wow! Am thinking I need to plan a family trip to Tokyo.
lol. "The lava business is going well." 😄🤣
Y'all out geeked yourselves
Jacket potato eith beans is absolutely a staple food over here in the UK! The skin needs to be very crispy, and there needs to be lashings of butter melted into the potatoes. Top with grated Cheddar cheese 👌 we have jacket 'spud' vans dotted around in the North West of England. 🥔🧀🧈
"Who's the horse girl now?" ☠️
Wow! I am jealous! Heck yeah!
Lol, that burn about Fantastic Beasts 😂😂👍👍👌👌
Time for the resurrection of SPEW!!😂
Beans and baked potato very much a thing but with more sauce - yours looked dried out. Would also recommend with added cheese. Love from the UK
Molly I can so relate to your question about the Fantastic Beasts being with Harry Potter stuff I don’t get it either.
Second and WOW so cool. Thanks Mam Fam
I love these videos sooooo much ❤
I literally lol when you gave him Dobby ears 😂
This seems very similar to Harry Potter World in Watford in UK. Would be worth comparing???
Long live the Lava Business 😂
Baked potato with cheese and beans is one of the most normal things to eat in UK. It's so funny to me that it is weird for you.
Have had BB @ UOR, Warner Bros UK, Hollywood & HP NY store. NY used 2 b my fav. Was thr in Nov. They changed the recipe. UOR is now my fav, again.
I love the low-key shade for fantastic beast 😅
Was the side on the treacle tart butter or clotted cream?
Yes in the UK baked beans in a jacket potato is a THING! Its a very normal thing here people always eat it! They put lots of things on baked potatoes! Chilli, beans, tuna mayo, cheese + beans, Cheese with the tuna etc! The beans were way way too dry though if its not swimming in the sauce its sad!
I’ve been to both (the original one in London and the one in Tokyo) and really loved both. However, London could not be matched. The energy felt different because it’s the original one
How much time did this experience take? Totally worth it if over an hour
Molly justifying her crying to the audience of Potterheads when we all would be SOBBING too 😅
The 'butter' with the treacle tart looks like clotted cream. It is hard to explain but it is a very thick cream.
Can confirm - jacket potato, cheese and beans is an elite lunch
Raise your hand if you had to rewatch the MAGICAL entrance of Molly at the beginning of the video 🙌🏼. Such an epic way to start the video! 😀
A jacket with baked beans is an ordinary snack in the UK. A bit different and better than the one you had.
You guys should come to London Warner Bro studios, it's the best. As you know it's not to imitate the sets, but the real thing, you guys would love it; especially Molly.
soooo cooool
I am British and yes can confirm jacket potato is a thing - most commonly with cheese and beans but also commonly with things like coleslaw / salad or chilli. It was a staple on the school lunch menu and often served in cafes and various lunch places!
Beans on potato is very common. Though i must say the beans served here looked so dry. I wanted to drink water just looking at them!
I cannot wait till you guys go to the Harry Potter filming locations in the UK some day. I've had the pleasure of riding the train before social media made it so popular and it was incredible. I hope you all can experience it soon 🤓
Fun stuff! Next time, a 40 question drinking game!
Oh Max, you have lived a sheltered life my friend - one of my specialties is a big fluffy king Edward jacket potato filled with copious amounts of cheese and beans. Delicious mate 😋
