The way I get a new wood is simple.
Buy directly in small quantities on eBay, Amazon, Ali Express, etc.,
I get it through a Wood importer that I have close friends with.
Recently I haven't bought any new wood,
All of the woods I use now are used over 3 years old.

Amboyna burl is a natural red color.
So it is more valuable and more rare.
That's why it's a material I've been using to bet.

looks amazing! btw, im trying to make a nib holder for maru nibs, primarily hiro leonardt 800 nibs because that are the ones available for me, but to make the hole for the nib im trying to use a 1/8 drill but it seems too small and anything bigger than that seems to be too big, do you have any recommendarion?
When making a pen like this, I drill a hole about 7mm. I think this is the most appropriate.

very nice! do you ever sand along the grain, or only across it? i've always done both but it sure takes a while!
The actual working video is very long.
Many parts have been omitted from editing.
Sanding is always hard and boring.
The best way is to slowly and little by little, calmingly, with ease.

나머지는 모두 제가 직접 만드는 것입니다.
저는 금속공예를 전공하고 30여년 정도 은을 전문적으로 다루는 전업작가로 활동하고 있습니다.
은색으로 보이는 모든 것은, 진짜 은으로 만든 것입니다.
저의 다른 영상중에서 이 링을 직접 만드는 과정을 볼 수 있습니다.
은을 녹여서 판재로 만든 후에, 가운데를 원형으로 오려내고 나머지 테두리도 동그랗게 다듬어 만듭니다.
