The Munchkin Mayor looks just like Lord Farquaad from Shrek the Musical.

Seeing him pull off makes my knees hurt, good thing he is not in the scene for a long period time. My knees would aching after one minute (possibly thirty seconds) of being down on them like that.

For a High School production very well done they had some good lighting including the yellow brick road, some Good sets, acting was very well done, although I wasn't a fan of the acting direction of lion or witch. The exit of the witch in munchkinland was done flawlessly. I just wish you had done the same with her melting scene. Seems like some of the special effects lost their way throughout the rest of the production. And i did expect a beter execution of the oz head based on what you've already showed us you can do, but other than that... very well done! Cute dog ohhh great job with the Scarecrow running back to grab Dorothy's shoe. That's what acting is all about thinking in the moment when something doesn't go right and it just made for a great line

It is so funny that a lot these productions use the same lines for *Cowardly Lion* when he explains about his family disowning him.
*_"When I was young cub, my father took to high mountain. (waved his arms and said), One day son, this will be all yours."_*
I even saw a production recently and they even used some of the soundtrack from The Lion King; the audience loved it.
This was a great performance by all, one thing I do not like (just me nit picking) is when a production uses a costumed person as Toto (understandable because dogs can be unpredictable). I even saw a performance and they used puppeteering for Toto, pretty cool. BTW kudos to the actor that portrayed *The Mayor of Munchkin City* - his knees just been killing after his scenes, I am sure he was wearing pads.

I suppose that the Lion King reference is in the scripts that are now sold for these productions by Concord Theatricals and others; perhaps there are multiple versions running around? But I doubt it was in the RSC production on which it is based, and cannot guess when it was added. It always seems to get a big laugh. The Lion has a bigger role than in the film because his 'If I only had the nerve' song is not truncated as in the film, so he gets two complete solo numbers. Perhaps the toughest role.
My pet peeve about these productions is the insistence on having the Lion sing 'vim and voive…had the noive' even when none of the rest of his speech resembles Bert Lahr's New York accent.

Well that line about the lion and the mountain that you don't like is written in the adoption by John Kane in the 1987 Royal Shakespeare script Wizard of Oz which is the one they use which is which most plays use today. Ironically 10 years later The Lion King comes out and simple is taken to a High Rock as a cub.... so today when people stage The Wizard of Oz they play on that irony. When the irony is done rite, it can be very funny.
