  • Cleaning the interior of a stolen recovered vehicle that had been left for two years with smashed windows. Obviously we can't show everything in the video but it gives you an idea of the work that goes into cleaning a severely neglected car. Video was filmed on and off over a week to allow for drying time of carpets and seats.

Yeah the only way to truly make sure it’s gone is to take the carpet, the door cards and the headliner out and clean behind them, then run an ozone generator in there with nothing in it, then put the interior back and run it again. (Note, be very careful with ozone generators, it can leave your lungs burning for days if you breathe it in).

If anything like another detailer, interior and exterior clean is about (in Canadian dollars I believe)
      $200 Car, $225 Mid-size SUV, $250 Full-size SUV, Van or Truck
Note: Excessively dirty vehicles (dirt/mud/pet hair) will be charged extra at a rate of $50/hour
If it involves paint correction like ceramic coatings, including interior and exterior clean and whatnot prices start around $750 and upwards of $1000

Very nice elbow grease, but the floor pans should have been exposed and cleaned, the carpet should have thoroughly washed out with water and special carpet cleaning solution.. I know about mold issues in cars and odors.. and it’s always where moisture goes.. down to the carpet and under the seats.. even the foam padding under the carpet is most likely still infested with black and blue and greeen living mold.

At the shops I know of they dismantle the seats removing the cushion to be sure the mold is gone and if needed the frames are blasted, cleaned, and repainted. Carpets are removed and dash also but only if a smell is detected after interior ionization has been performed. But this looks like yall did a fantastic job 😊

They need to hold it until all the court stuff is over. I had a guitar stolen out of my vehicle once, then saw it on craigslist down the street from my apartment and reported it to the police. I assumed they either couldn't get it or it was already sold, but I received a call almost 2 years later telling me to come get it from the police station.

At least in Spain a car impounded by the police can take two years to get the first "word" from court. Sometimes the car get "lost" in the bureaucracy, and a car that should be in deposit A, is in daposit B in another city. Other times the value of the car is so low, that after legal fees and the time is been in the police garage, it doesn't worth a penny, so gets auctioned.
