Exactly 1 year ago this month I watched my first reseller video which was yours. Shortly after I started selling on ebay and I now have over 430 listing and sell average 4-5 items per day. My net profit ranges from $1800-$2000 a month! I bought your book which was a great resource to help get me started, along with your videos. You have helped me tremendously and so many others. How do you ship?? Priority mail? I see your store alot of $8.95 im new reselling trying to get educated. Im learning from you as I go.
@@wineflavor USPS and for bigger items UPS. Make sure you know your measurements and weight before you list. I typically do calculated shipping but sometimes free shipping on lighter items. Shipping can be one of the biggest pains for new sellers.
@@wineflavor Another quick note. Anything over 1LB will go priority mail. USPS for things under 1LB and under certain dimensions, which I don't know off the top of my head. Good luck and have fun!

I have about 200 listings (always try to maintain about 200-250 due to limited spacing) and make approximately $1k net profit a month, but I’m extremely selective with what I buy. Love your videos, you always put out great content 🥰

I've been selling for about 3 months now, I went full throttle and I've been very lucky. I've made a little under 4k in in profit in the past two months. I got really lucky on some big finds at a few garage and estate sales. I'm really hoping to do this full time someday, really don't want to go back to the same company I've been at for 21 years! Can you clarify if you’re implying not opening your eBay store until it’s built? Or did you consistently list and sell while building? I hope these questions make sense. FYI for the people that have never been in business for themselves. Put money away for taxes. Uncle Sam wants his share of your money. Figure around 20% minimum or more of your profits. Keep very good records of your inventory as it's a tax right off. I would strongly urge any new to business people to ask around for a good and I mean good CPA ( certified public accountant). Make an appointment and spend the couple hundred dollars to ask him any questions about tax right offs, mileage etc.
A bad CPA will bankrupt you, not paying taxes will bankrupt you, not having enough start up cash will bankrupt you. If you don't have enough money to talk to a CPA you don't have enough money to start your business. This is a business think and act like a business person.
Ask me how I know. Lol been there done that.

Hi, I love your channel! I just started back up selling on eBay about three months ago. I sell basically high-end tweezers. So far my 3 month sales are $11,800. Do you think that is reasonable for a start up?

Please do further research on Roth IRA vs IRA. Your research would benefit if you included the Individual 401(k) (you can contribute up to $58k as a self- employed person). Most people (who save) never take out their qualified monies in huge lumps so you’re losing compound earnings on deferred income. In addition, please research a concept called “ stretch IRA” which is an effective way to further reduce taxes on qualified money and also used as part of an effective estate plan. I’m guessing that at your income level, you are missing out on some effective tools! You and hubby are climbing, so please delve deeper into these concepts with an open mind.

I use recycled packaging, producing less waste is important to me but more so our kids.. I actually get a lot of customers who thank me for doing so

I think it depends on the category you sell in! I charge shipping because I have a lot of one-offs and charging shipping has never seemed to impact my sales. I offer free returns as a compensation :)

I've got about 180 items posted in my store now, with 150 or so built up to be posted as I can. I don't think I'll be able to get to 500 before baby comes. I just have to remind myself that that's okay. I can't quite stand for very long to shop or take pictures so we'll just see how it goes. My goal is to get it up to 500 before the end of the year.

Can you make a video or do you have one that talks about eBay store pricing or the different types the have. My major platform is Poshmark and I’m transferring everything to eBay now I have over 350 listings but I feel like there’s more I need to learn to see consistent sales.

I've been very aggressively building my store, and got to about 3000 listings in just over 1 year. That being said, I've noticed that eBay has throttled down my sell-through rate as I grow. I used to sell with a daily 1% sell-through rate, but now with 3000 items I'm lucky to sell 7 or 8 a day. It has been an incredible journey! I really enjoy it!
Hmmm that is interesting! I'm sorry you're seeing that phenomenon. I definitely have found that "cleaning house" by auctioning off stale listings or simply ending them helps keep my items fresh. Good luck and thank you for sharing!

I haven’t been nearly as active lately on eBay as I should be but I noticed that as well back when I was a lot more active. I wonder why they do that. Less sales for us means less revenue for eBay as well. Makes no sense but then when does eBay ever make sense!
