DJI Mini 4 Pro - My Very First Drone Flight EVER !!

- This is the very first time I have ever flown a drone, and it is more fun than I expected. This video was made in the pretty little village of Lewiston NY. The DJI Mini 4 Pro drone was released by DJI on Monday September 25th (2023), and it has 360 degree obstacle avoidance, just what I needed for my first drone.

Wow!! I watched this twice, nice job!! You are inspiring for sure, first time pro!!! LOVE the park you are in, tennis courts, baseball, basketball court. NICE
That park is awesome, thick rubbery spongy turf for safety all around all the swings and climbing sections, 2 nicely groomed ball diamonds, and a nice little recreation building for group picnicing, and very colorful courts too, the town went all out in this park for sure 🤗

I spent about an hour there, 4 take-offs and 4 landings. 20 minutes total air time, I used 2 take-offs and 2 landings in this video, including the very 1st take-off and landing. It was important to me to make sure I captured my very first takeoff and landing, and it was so much fun. It was evening, the sky was darker than it looked in this video, but the camera on this thing is amazing. Thanks, Gloria✌️😁👍

Great job my friend! I have a mini 2 and a mini 3. Now, thanks to you I’m going to buy the 4. The 2 has no obstacle avoidance and the 3 has forward and below. I crashed my 2 into my neighbors magnolia tree on my first flight lol. You did great!!
Hey RJ 😁 I've wanted a drone for a long time, but I needed it to be under 250g so that I can fly it in Canada. With no, or only partial obstacle avoidance, I was not willing to pull the trigger... until this one 😎👍
Great!! Welcome to the old fart flyer club. I am on my second Mini. The first one ended up in a tree at Aubrey Falls Provincial Part in Northern Ontario. That obstacle avoidance tech on yours would have probably save the poor little fella.
I do remember your video about your lost drone. I bought the 2 yr Care Warranty, even though I hope I don't need it, they will cover up to 4 drone repkacements of which up to 2 drones can be replaced as "flyaways", I'm not taking any chances that this 'old fart' will not lose my drone or crash it 😁👍
I was wondering when you were going to get a drone! :) It’s a great addition to your gear! It’s nice to be able to drop in some establishing shots to let the viewers know where you are. Plus with the tracking that the mini 4 has you’ll be able to get some nice shots following you! Have fun! :) Hope all is well!
I thought about getting the Mini 2 (no obstacle avoidance), I almost got the Mini 3 (partial obstacle avoidance but not 360). I waited 1 whole day after the Mini 4 was released and couldn't resist. Yes, indeed, it brings a whole new set of options I can add to my videos. Thank you so much, Brad 😁👍

The DJI Mini is absolutely great. I had the original one without obstacle avoidance and had a blast. I am sure you will like it. (I used to use mine as a “tripod” to shoot videos too) Well done buddy
I noticed you said you "had" the original mini... 🤔 ... er ah umm ... so you don't have it anymore ?
@@SpyderWayne My brother wanted to buy it when I was in Brazil in 2022 so I sold it to him. (I even crashed it twice and it never missed the beat)
Then I bought a FiMi Mini and regretted it. I will go back to the DJI Mini in the near future.

I needed that obstacle avoidance one. I just crashed my mavic mini.
I thought about getting the Mini 2 with no obstacle avoidance, and then I seriously considered the Mini 3 that had forward, back, and down obstacle avoidance but not left, right, or up.. and then DJI released this beautiful temptation, and I couldn't resist. So sorry you crashed yours, Nore, but I'm sure I would have done the same 🥺😖
