That snow plow didn't make a turn! He chickened out! You won! Thanks for the vid
Ha! I should have realized that. My mighty Tonka truck scared the plow. Welcome to my channel. I hope I earn your sub and referrals.
Amazing! I have a 23 XLT AWD ordered. Just heard the build is scheduled for June! Can’t wait! Ordered it in September
Great video! Thanks!
You will love it! I hope my channel helps you.
Wow! Some snow ya have!.. What a beautiful area, nice homes.. I am so surprised that the stock tires are doing so well in that deep snow.. thanks for sharing!
It's Denny! Yes I am surprised too. I was going to swap with snow tires but other than a few slips, the Mav really bites the road.
Come out and visit, either in HB or PC.
Picking mine up this week, I can’t wait. I’ve been Toyota my whole life. Oxford white xlt with black appearance package. I’m really excited to get it.
I remember how excited I was to see my Mav for the first time. 2 years later, I still get excited to get inside and drive somewhere, even to the grocery store. I still rarely see another Mav on the road. The BAP is a good choice. Post some videos, I will sub!
Thanks for the snow vid. Looks like 12-15 inches in some places. AWD works great!
Even more snow now! Finally a great ski season to help fill the depleted reservoirs. Keep watching, more winter driving vids to come Dennis. Hope you have been great.
I cannot wait to get. Mine 😊
Hi Dan, welcome! Let me know what you ordered and if it's scheduled yet. Ask any questions.
We had a ton of snow drop too and I was very impressed with the AWD. Always had 4WD so I was a little nervous.
Yes with the AWD, the Mav computer makes quick adjustments to which wheels get power if one of them starts to slip. Post some Mav Vampire vids I will sub!
I live in Alaska and also orders an AWD FX4 maverick. Although most modern AWD systems seem to handle the snow here fine with proper tires. I drove home from work yesterday in my wife’s Kia sorento AWD in similar conditions to this vid.
Up there I would think it is a mistake to not get AWD. I hope my videos help you, thanks for coming on board.
Nice to see how well it handled. I have AWD too. 😎 I guess you were in slippery mode. You can go in and out of low without having to stop first? Tho I live in Florida, I still have a cabin in West Virginia. I got the AWD for when I go to my cabin. 😎
Yes Linae, the low button is like downshifting a manual transmission to help control your speed on a downhill.
Fantastic! Here in Abilene, TX I doubt I’ll get to take my AWD Mav to play in the snow!!😁 Hopefully, they put the tire chains on the front wheels! I saw a guy who had a FWD VW Rabbit putting the chains on the rear wheels…it was in Ruidoso, NM and had deep snow! I couldn’t stop to tell him his error
Great comment Halo! Yes, a lot of people do not know if their vehicle is rear or front wheel drive. Welcome! And thanks for subbing.
I love my 2022 Maverick Lariat FX/4. Great fuel economy. Storage galore. Would have bought the XLT but wanted the acoustic windshield, the seats and the power rear window.
Nice Max! Yes you get a lot more with a Lariat, including keeping the key in your pocket to get in and start the truck. And congrats, you got the original pricing.
Welcome! I hope I earn your sub and referrals.
I hope the FWD and tire chains do it for me. Would love the AWD but I am waiting for the hybrid ( on order) . Enjoy your channel
For some reason, Ford accepted way more hybrid orders than capacity. Probably half of hybrid orders will be canceled, I hope not yours.
On my vids, I try to help people not just focus on mpg. Not getting a Mav is worse than holding out for mpg. Remember, mpg hwy is not much different AWD vs hybrid even with way more passing power and capability.
@@fordmaverickmaniac I have the Mav hybrid, passing power is not an issue at all.
It spun a little bit then the traction control light flashed a few times
I'm considering adding a Maverick to my garage.
Great! Let me know if you need any suggestions. And welcome!
thanks for your video sir! Is your car with winter tire or all season tire?
My Mav AWD just has the standard Continental M&S rated street tires. I never had to put chains on all winter even with this huge snow year. That would not have happened with a FWD Maverick.
Thanks for visiting my channel Harry! I hope I earn your sub!
@@fordmaverickmaniac that looks great 👍 your maverick doesn't have any stuck problem on the huge snow. The video is really helpful 😄
@小黄Harry I am just a rookie trying to be different than the reviewers who do test drives and walk around of a loaner Maverick. And I don't make you stare at me most of the video. Thanks for sharing my channel with those you think should look at a Mav.
Have a Mav xlt lux awd 4k on order. I was wondering how good you've found the defroster to be, and if the absence of rear window has been a problem. Thanks
Welcome Peter! The front windshield defroster on high hot air works fast. But it does not do much for the rear window. I have some other snow videos showing how clouded the back can get. It's a safety issue, not sure why there is no heat grid on the rear window like every car I have seen has.
@@fordmaverickmaniac thank you
@@fordmaverickmaniac In your Park City snow videos, have the tires always been the standard all season radials, or have you had winter tires? My current car is a 2010 Jetta wagon, and I put on snow tires here in New York.
@petercroucher981 The videos have the std Conti tires that worked surprisingly well. One of my latest videos shows I added Blizzaks for this winter.
I just ordered a 24 XLT FX4 4K. I really shouldn't have watched this video. It's gonna be a long wait.
Sorry! I waited 7 months and that was hard. You will love your Mav.
I posted a more recent video that says I believe Lariat is a shorter line because less people order that trim. And for $3400 more, you get 18 features not available on XLT like push button start, built in Nav, adaptive cruise with lane centering (drives like an autonomous vehicle), and B&O sound with a surround sound setting. (The XLT stereo only has speakers rated at 25 watts with a tiny magnet.)
BAP with Lariat gets rid of the brown and blue seats and replaces them with luxury vinyl black seats. OK, then it will cost $5k more, but some people buy an XL for the price of a Lariat after a $10k dealer markup. Ouch. A loaded Lariat is still about $10k less than the avg new vehicle price of $48k.
Just a suggestion Uncle Buck that can get your Mav faster and much nicer.
And welcome! I hope I earn your sub and referrals.
Not stopping at all at Stop signs, we see
Oops! Welcome Abell!
My 2008 Honda Element with AWD does just fine in the snow. It would be a great vehicle if it got better gas mileage. I'm waiting for Ford to take its head out of its aXX and offer an AWD hybrid.
Yes it is strange that such a small car doesn't get better mpg. A Mav hybrid AWD is probably coming, but not for 2-3 years. In the meantime, I hope my videos help you get through the wait. Thanks for subbing RB!
Love me some fresh powder 🏂
Git it! Thanks for subbing!
Park City I gather
Yessir! I hope this will be another big snow year. I am more ready with the Blizzaks I installed on a set of steelies per a more recent video.
Were you in any special drive mode or just normal mode?
Slippery mode, which lowers throttle response and adjusts transmission shift points. You can actually feel the Mav get more traction through snow when changing to this mode while driving, especially in AWD. Ask any questions Mike.
Can you shift through the different drive modes while moving or should you come to a stop. Thanks.
@@gregdinn-he4pw Great question Greg! You can change drive modes at any speed. We were driving on the hwy and the road got icy. We put it in slippery mode and could actually feel the transmission change and the Mav grip the road better.
Welcome! I hope I earn your sub and referrals.
@@fordmaverickmaniac Thank-you for the quick reply. I have a’22 Maverick and I love it. I could have looked in the manual or asked the dealer but when I saw your post I reached out. Thank-you again. All the best. Greg
@@gregdinn-he4pw Do some videos of your adventures I will sub!
