Yes! Those navigators are decently easy to fix.
Hey Randy, The dealer auction is hands-down, my favorite auction site on your channel! It’s great that you can test drive them and you’ve got some really interesting product there! The daily doubles are a real treat! Love your new schedule! In my opinion, you are absolutely the most interesting and best automotive channel on UA-cam!
Ohwow cam phaser rattle on navigator run faraway
perfect timing, haven’t even watched the video but i have a feeling it’s gonna be a watch through.
Loving the new upload schedule Mr. Randy very much appreciate it and enjoying it... would love it u keep it up
Those Lincoln’s are really nice for the price point and pretty reliable for the most part. That champagne colored mkz was a patch job that someone just wanted to get rid of. The earlier models didn’t suffer from head gasket issues or coolant intrusion. If you can find a good one you’ll be rolling for a while. It’s an even better deal if you can find one with the panoramic roof
Can you elaborate on the “patch job”other then the crappy collision repairs? I’m interested in buying one for a daily so I’m trying to learn what to look for and what would be a deal-breaker.
Actually, as the video goes along I think I see what you’re saying.
Get the Navigator you will not be disappointed. The noise is the direct injection pump . I have a Ford Edge with the 2.0 eco boost engine it makes the same noise. Great engines.
Randy, if you haven't sold it already just keep the Forte! It's great on gas, you bought it at a great price and you fixed it! Look no further...that Forte is perfect for daily commutes.
Digging the late videos as well Randy! I just picked up an 05 impala for a dollar… and it has 140k no dash lights. Couldn’t have gotten luckier.
How...
@@lovellmills7959 guy at work didn’t want it anymore, told me he would give it to me for a dollar to get it off the property. All it has was a dead battery. Drove it home.
That navigator is really nice and the ecoboost engine is pretty solid. That rattling that you heard on cold start was the cam phasers, you can replace them if need be but its a common issue with the 3.5 v6.
The ecoboosts are the worst engines Ford ever built. Just ask the Focus.
@@quintfl yeah man its a luck of the draw with them. I had a focus st with the 2.0 and it was reliable as hell, my dad had an f150 with the 2.7 and it was a great engine with almost 100k miles when he traded in for his f250. But since I was a service advisor at Ford I've seen all the ins and outs of those engines. I had a customer with a 2023 f150 2.7 ecoboost with 400 miles that dropped a valve and grenaded the engine. They keep improving the designs over the years with fixing the leaking gaskets and cooling lines on the 3.5 ecoboosts so they stop blowing clouds of white smoke but that cam phaser issue is still super prevalent. They released a TSB to fix them past the expiration of the power train warranty but I can't tell you how many we've replaced 🙄
@@quintfl I would say the 6.0 and 6.4 diesels were the worst engines ford ever built.
@@drummerjmg What's been your experience working on the 5.4?
@@quintfl the 2 valve 5.4 also has the cam phaser issue but the 3 valve 5.4 was bad due to the spark plugs shooting out of the engine and breaking off in the cylinder head, over all horrible design but again a luck of the draw type of thing as well. While the spark plug issue was common they were relatively durable engines.
I remember the gold f150 eco boost you had that extremely high mileage if I remember right ! You also liked that truck too ! This raptor would be cool to see on the channel 👍
Spreading out the miles is key. I drive the truck in the winter or bad weather. Drive the roadmaster in the fall and spring. The ctsv gets the summer time. I put 70% of my yearly miles on a 138k mile Buick roadmaster with proper maintenance
I have a 2023 Camry se, I have had grand cherokees, the new Mazda cx50 and many others. The Camry I got because I wanted something “cheap” and hood on gas. The car I got a hell of a deal brand new, has push button, sunroof and blind spot which I wanted and I get 33-36 mpg on my driving. It is boring but it’s pretty, very comfortable and affordable. Plus it’ll hold a lot of value
Ahhhhh midnight videos! Keep it up randy! Get that 02 Chevy with AC! Love the video as always!
Listen… coming from a Cadillac guy… the Navigator interior is top tier. I am not sure about the Ecoboost but you can’t sneeze at 500 hp either, I think that’s what they are rated for. It’s a foreign concept to rock a truck that big with a v6 in it 😂 but I’d take a chance on a Black Label if I could afford it.
Also, here's a tip. If you end up wanting a Malibu, get a 16-18. 19+ have CVT's
Besides any ones with the 2.0T
Randy I have a 2019 Camry.
I get it they are nothing special but you are correct you can’t beat the reliability and the mpg.
I usually can average 39-40 mpg with that 8 speed automatic
There’s a huge issue here in NC where they copy a 30 day tag basically because they don’t have any insurance.
For your interceptor 3.5 ecoboost. Install a 3 bar map sensor (pn CX2594) and a gearhead tune. I’ve ran the same setup on my sho for the last 103k miles with zero issues other then grins from the having a fun daily commuter. All while getting 24mpg on 93. My car is a sho but same difference. I own several ecoboost fb groups and these cars sell fast and are a ton of fun.
I died when Siri said "that's what I figured." Oh my gosh I lost it! Navigator is awesome. I had mine for 12 years never had it in the shop, rarely did oil changes, and when I popped a tire going 95 in the left lane & pulled over to the right with no spinning or anything a guy pulled up and asked if I was okay and said he was surprised I didn't have any problems. Gas mileage was horrible but it was a v8.
Hey Randy, I just wanna let you know that I watch today’s video. You did an awesome job on this video too. Can’t wait to see your new video for the midnight one talent tonight and I can’t wait to see your video for tomorrow. Keep up the good work dude talk to you later.
I enjoy your channel a lot. Thanks .We have a 2016 Prius that we bought used.I wasn’t offended by what you said about Toyotas. We love it for it’s 46 mpg average, but for long trips, not very comfortable. But other then oil changes and air filters, headlight bulbs,no problems at over 150,000 miles. But a Impala would be a nice comfy ride
My work truck is an 18 F250 6.2L gasser and I love it! It's got some 160,000 miles on it, 274,000km on it and has never EVER let me on the side of the road
I'm lucky to see 10 MPG on my work truck too lol just doing everyday things, tons of towing, light and heavy, sub 10,000 pounds though, between 500 and 2500 pounds in the box (payload 3000) with me in it and my gear
There's something to be said about spreading the mileage over several vehicles. I've kept a lot of vehicles for years - SUV, fun car, motorcycles - and any given vehicle only gets a handful of miles per year. Big maintenance rarely comes up and the cars don't suffer huge mileage depreciation. Trade off is lots of insurance bills.
Ride that dang motorcycle, Randy!! :D
That Lincoln navigator was the timing chain rattling I would run away
randy diesel here is still 4.20 a gallon. and i know you are talking about the cop car!! cant wait to see it!! bummer walk away from the lincoln too many problems. hmm maybe that impala will go down in price.
Had Chevys, Fords and Dodges over the last 45 years. We now own a Toyota 2015 RAV4. Great vehicle with just the normal maintenance, brake and tires.
Can he keep it up? The man has UA-cam stamina! I am loving you new schedule especially being stuck home with a broken hip, but if you have to relax down to one video per day I’d still be very happy. I’m looking forward to your working weekend videos.
Randy, I can’t thank you (and MWM) for distracting me from the staggering pain from the broken hip. Thank God that if I don’t move or try to walk the pin is tolerable. Not much of a life though.
Peace my friend,
DrRick
A few things about the lincolns. for the size they are they handle extremely well in tight spaces, the engines are quite good as well as the 10 speed transmisions. if basic maintainance is kept up they will run for a very long time. I have a 2020 Aviator and a 2018 Continental and I love them and when it comes time for something new I will buy another lincoln.I havent had a single issue with either one and they are both covered for many many more miles. 10yr/100k mile warranty on the Aviator and covered 9yr/110k miles on the continental.
Good morning Randy from @Auto Action Rebuild always enjoy watching your channel 🙏😇
I really like the Lincoln Randy it may not be the most fuel efficient but it can be a great daily driver
2013 should be old block so head gasket isn't too bad. It's the 2nd run (believe it is 15-19) of this block that has the biggest issues. 2020 starts being good again.
Hope this isn’t the last midnight release 😮enjoying the content! Be cool if you came across a Lincoln Blackwood pickup.I believe only made in 2002?
We sold one at my local auction for 4700 with 90K miles it was beautiful 🙂
@@lovellmills7959wow.. that’s a good price . I’ve only seen one in person . Idk what the production numbers were but it was a beautiful truck
@@Crispychicken4u They made 3,356 of them, and they were only made in 2002. I followed one up a highway in north Georgia last year, and other than the then new Ford GT that passed me in east Tennessee in 2018 that Blackwood is the rarest vehicle I've ever found in the wild.
Very interesting video. That navigator was really nice.
Hi, randy I’m a private dealer in south Florida and what these auctions are doing they get wrecked cars from the copart, IAA, insurance company and add the parts to make the car look like it’s a run and drive no accidents and then sell them to us dealers it happens multiple times to me and my buddy they are clean title too I had bought a 2021 Escalade esv sports for $67k wholesale which is a steal for 14k miles got it and pop the hood and saw frame damage different screw but the body lines were perfect. And same I had gotten a 23 suburban, 19 3500 high country, 2022 tundra capstone, these are from the Mannheim auctions
Hello Randy. The Ford F150 Raptor is a good looking truck. The Lincoln MKZ is a good looking car.
The Lincoln Navigator was nice.👍
My 2018 Focus has the 2.0 non EcoBoost and is good for 160 horsepower. It's had no issues and at just 22,500 miles should last for years.
If you have VCT issues w it the the Navigator many parts are on indefinite back order and cannot be purchased.
Make sure if you buy an MKZ that the brake hose recall is done.
I hope you win that last Navigator. It would be great for what you do for a living.
13:38 I never liked the idea of a big Ford suv like the expedition and the navigator but that Navigator is WORLDS BETTER than that Grand Wagoneer that Lincoln is beautiful!!!
I just KNEW the Navigator was going to make a rattling sound when starting. Those 3.5 Ecoboosts are known for that and sadly, no amount of maintenance will prevent that. Needs phasers and probably VCT units.
That Lincoln Navigator looks nice 😎😎👍👍
Love the videos Randy, keep up the great work
Definitely get the Raptor and the Navigator Randy
I love 2 videos a day. I love your channel.
I think that Raptor would be a great replacement for your Ram!
If you get a couple cars to get some miles on I definitely reccomend one of them u get should be a Honda Accord , you can drive the heck out of those and will always start up everytime and things are cheap on it , you could get a 9th generation one which was the last one with the V6 which is pretty nice and quick , Camry would be just as good too ,
What beautiful 4 year old Navigatior almost same size as ur Jeep Wagoneer use to own last year Randy & see find the 2019 Impala with hell damage roof
I like the videos comming every 12hours keep it going man
Make sure you get some rest my friend. Be safe be careful 🙂👍🙏
Great videos Randy!! Can you suggest a video editor? How difficult? Any help would be appreciated.
Love the Lincoln Navigator.
The red, blue, yellow, & green things on the car is light status when they run through the auction lane
That Lincoln Navigator is amazing. I think it looks better than the Cadillac Escalade. You could travel in luxury back and forth from Indiana. Something to think about. 👍🇺🇸😎
Where's the Florida SHO Taurus? Still MIA?
Stay hydrated!!!!🥵
Learned something new about the auction business 😊
We own a 2017 MKZ hybrid that's been a great car, our milage is about 36 frwy, the previous gen hybrids are not as good and those haptic buttons suck
That big SUV isn't a econo box for sure Randy, it's big and heavy so not what you need.
You have a good daily commuter. Your Kia Forte.
You love every car that you get into, except Toyota, are there any other brands that you don’t like? Who repairs the cars you buy?
Randy can you purchase a aftermarket warranty for your ram when it gets close to being expired ya can get one for just power train or a more deluxe which could cover more than than the power train just my thoughts good luck
You should buy the Navigator if you think that it would be good content and good resale.
Lincoln’s always have tht ticking sound it’s the direct injection I had a 2002 navigator brand new off the show room floor and had the same tick noise
Randy man I was just talking bout Lincoln. I was @ a used car dealership looking @ an 05 Lincoln Navigator it was to have an 1 owner 181 thousand miles. For 8 thousand fr it. And I wanted it. And to say the mkz . I’m definitely wanting one are the other imma get my goal is cause I’m bout to be a grandfather to my oldest daughter in three months and I’ve got to get a bigger car for her. Which be my first granddaughter
Very well-researched and fine-made video this is.
How about the ribbons means "Run and Drive".....wild guess for me.
Randy's always been saying that we need smell-o-vision and while often cagey, we get a rare, candid "Also smells like the Elephant pen at the zoo" whilst reviewing a "luxurious" Malibu. Bid accordingly, team.
You are just fine with your current truck.
You should have some 2019 Lincoln Navigator
We have a lot off the navigator here in the Bahamas for the tour companies here they love them
I am looking for good pricing on these big cars. Look like the Midwest have better prices. You have any tips.🇧🇸
@@hectorrosettasmith8439 I was the taxi and tour operators love them here
Vary awesome collection indeed. Keep up the great work. Okay.
Something looks up with the driver door on that MKZ, maybe it’s just reflection but it looks like it’s been refinished and doesn’t have the same appearance.
New to the game. Im wondering what kind of lot is this? Where? Requirements/licensing?
Walk away from that Lincoln MKZ... I only see rad flags and i'm a Ford guy. When you openend that hood, i was done. Left front door has a dent also.
That Navigator though... i love it! That 3.5 has proven it's a good engine over the years
Love my Toyota and Honda does are my preference vehicle to drive
I'm surprised you didn't notice Randy that the belt was missing under the hood of that car of that Lincoln
Yes, get the Navigator. Sorry about the MKZ
That's a 'luxurious' Chevy Malibu right there.. Lol!!
Your ad sense will get a huge bump in revenue. I fell asleep while watching your video and woke up 4 hours later advertising still playing. 😂
2019 Lincoln Navigator It's pretty easy to find people reset the entertainment system pretty easily I go in the settings then I use hotel you can start to reset
Cool, I like the Impala 😀
You need a car that doesn't loose a lot of money, when you're going to sell like a Toyota or a Lexus or Honda
Wholesale 6 grand in good condition but wrecked with lots of codes no air worth what a grand maybe 1500 as a go to and from work car but not for road trips
Question when are you coming back to Indianapolis ???
Yes sir Auto Spa special.🙂👍
3:38 either your blackbook is tweaking or im gonna start looking for one of these to buy, 6k for that is a steal
A thought just occurred to me about the LCD screen in the Navigator. That screen was flickering while the Impala's screen wasn't? If I'm not mistaken, this means the Impala has a much better, faster refresh rate screen than the much more expensive, and luxurious Navigator? Maybe the Navigator is an older model? 👍😎✌🗽
I don’t think the navigator has a LCD
And it’s a 2019 still fairly new to it’s body style
@@electricbird423forester9It probably has an led screen, and it's terrible with a really slow refresh rate where the Impala had no flicker at all which means it has a very high refresh rate. I'm not certain how those small screens compare in price to computer screens, but you can get a very fast refresh 164 mhz rate 24" screen for around$100 bucks! FYI, the old standard was 60hz, and is a strain on the eyes. It seems cheap of GM to install a sub grade monitor in their top of the line Escalade. The fact the Impala doesn't flicker on his camera tells me it's a very fast rate screen which I actually haven't seen in any video yet, they all flicker until now. I'll keep an eye out for other videos of car screens that don't flicker when filmed. A little research shows the Escalade having an OLED screen which in tv lingo is high end so should have a higher refresh rate, but this was on a 2021 model, not sure if the older models have the same screen. Who knows?👍😎✌🗽
randy you get the same gas milage as my 2 door blazer 4x4 with a 4.3 v6
Those 2 repos are typical of their condition I used to work for a bank did repos most of the cars were used and abused and the owners knew they were going to lose them to the bank so they beat the hell out of them not realizing that if after repo there was a balance still due, their wages or bank accounts would be garnished for the balance.
Navigator has the classic 3.5 eco boost timing chain/ guides noise on start up
Navigator Is not a bad vehicle... vehicle refresh in 2025... but that's a nice 1
Lincoln luxury. ( repo?). How much ? I had a 1977 continental in 1984. Nothing like that soft ride.
Too bad you didn't think about a comuting milage dumpster until after you got rid of the car you just got the title to.
Excellent video.
get rid of your rsm and buy a lincoln or an escalade
love your videos
Randy stay away from that navigator sounds like the timing phasers are going out!!!!!!
Have you considered the cost of insuring 5 cars to spread out the mileage? I suspect that would negate the benefits of any savings of spending out the mileage.
Yes you should
my mom has a 2020 hyundai accent && it get 40 - 45 mpg && only costs $25-$30 to fill up.
Yes u should buy the navigator
That Toyota is a nice car and get good gas mileage 🙂👍
More Camrys!!
