seems they already made some changes from the premiere show, including removing some of the narration chops, and that new keytar solo ending is awesome
@@anthonyhalstead3925 The old one is what plays in my head when I'm walking around humming it all day. Doesn't really matter what he plays that kid can shred and I love it!
Holy cow! The Garden. Such a good selection. For the life of me, I don't understand why people would have some audio dialog over such incredible music.
@@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa16534 I have a good sound system at home. I really like to listen to music. Especially modern jazz. It puts me into my happy place. It is one of the only things in my life that I feel is close to a spiritual experience. Especially hearing a great piece of music for the first time (like the Garden). Every once in a while, while deep in a state of focused listening, my daughter will come into the room. She will be like, "DAD! HEY DAD!!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING DAD???!!!!" That is what this is like. It ruins the experience.
Visually, this is a gorgeous show already. Thank you for leaving the better portion of the field open to show off the beautiful drill. Too many corps clutter the center of the field with meaningless props, thus hampering any meaningful, drill, marching, maneuvering, or movement. I can already see the guard in contention for top honors. Love the silks changing colors from blue to pink to yellow at the end. Color, uniforms, and visual effects are all well conceived. Not certain much of the narration helps. Perhaps a bit of spoken word at the start, then that’s it. Let the music tell the story. Good luck. this show will take you far.
This show has grown on me. I love it. Well conceived, great use of props, great uniforms, great music. I’m not a big fan of voiceovers, but this one adds to the cool vibe and provides context. Without it, I’m not sure the show would make much sense. I suggest amping up the closer. It feels a bit weak as it is.
Changes to be made. But this corps does the best job of infusing electronics and amplification in it shows than any other corps. They will be right there come finals
kinda disappointed in the decision to change the keytar solo, its not bad now but it just feels like something is missing with the gap during the ending that was filled originally. however with so much time left to improve this and the closer before finals, im sure they'll come up with something to blow the audiences mind away...
I like the show, but it just doesn't give me that WOW FACTOR. Well hopefully some changes will be made down the line before the season end. I guess going back playing openly is an adjustment for all drum corps this year. Very lackluster.
Oddly enough they already had a much cleaner and more energetic show by this time last year (relative time, not exact dates). I was very impressed by what they put out in so little time last year
I have to agree, the new standard for “uniforms” and these weird shows I’m not a fan of this season. I will be extremely upset if we don’t go back to the golden standard of show making like 2014. Almost all of the corps 2022 shows don’t even compare to their previous shows. It’s kinda heartbreaking
First impression is that I can’t criticize the horn book because for more than half the ‘show’ the horns did not play or played long whole notes - pretty much any decent high school horn line could do that. Also, DBI (Drum Band International if the truth were told) might as a well add woodwinds next year to make the transition from drum corps to band corps complete. Why even bother to say it’s anything different? So, from my overall perspective this is what I witnessed with this ‘show’: First part the horn line accompanies the pit. Second part the horn line accompanies the battery and the pit. Third part the horn line accompanies the narration. Fourth part the horn line accompanies the dancing by playing the exact same thing over, and over, and over. Fifth part more accompaniment of the narration. Ending = ‘keytar’ = cheesy marching band garbage. Sorry, that’s what I got out of this first watching. And, if a band can’t tell their story the first time someone sees the show, then I’m sorry but the show has design issues.
@@the1aj39 better question would be how long have you been into drum corps? my mom is 50 and she likes this show. it’s not age, it’s just that this show is very diFfEreNt

You are welcome to your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Insulting someone because they don't have the same opinion as you shows a lack of maturity and tolerance for others' opinions. That is one of the main things wrong with the world today. There are many who want to cancel anybody that they don't agree with. Most drum corps charge anywhere from 1000$ (cheapest) to around $3500. For the blue devils, i.e if you make it past applications and tryouts, it is that 3500

That ending will DEFINITELY change by finals. It’s screaming for octane.
They always come out with the final version of the closer around San Antonio

Love seeing the return of EWI’s!!!
No EWI here, just a Keytar :)
Nobody talks about the sky matched the show theme?
Noticed this show is getting the same hate kinetic noise got when they first performed. Full circle moment 😉
Eh. I really didn't like kinetic noise but I really like this show.
The show is good, but I don't like the ending much, which is the same in the case of kinetic noise. Definitely a contender for first this year.
I only wish to one day be as cool as that keytar player
