Love this method you learn something new everyday❤
First time watching your videos. Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
Thank you for showing this technique. I will certainly give it a go. X
Well I’m @ 48 year crocheter and it’s going to take awhile to adjust to your technique but it will be worth the effort, Olga. Thank you so much. From New Brunswick, Canada.🇨🇦
Hi there, I haven’t crochet in over 20 years. I just started again and so happy to discover your channel. Love love your scarfs and you are so good at explaining things. Thank you ❤
Wow, welcome back to crocheting! And I'm so glad you find my projects and tutorials helpful! Thank you!
Thank you, very interesting.
Love long tail cast on, but I found the way you made the beginning double crochet was brilliant.
That was awesome. Thank you so much! 😅😅
Thank you for sharing. What a wonderful technique. ❤
Amazing techniques. Tx so much❤
Very interesting. Must try it
Wow … amazing tip! Love it ❤. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Interesting.
Another great tip! Thank you, Olga. I have seen this, once, before but they did not explain it well and I have not felt comfortable trying it. I will try and use this on a project, now. You are awesome!
I hope all is going well with you and you are enjoying the spring weather.
God's best to you and your family!❤🧶
I'm glad it was helpful! Yes, everything is good, thank you! :)
Definitely going to try this. I always find that my base row ends up looking looser than all the other work. Especially if row 1 includes multiples of sts within 1 ch space. This new long tail foundation chain looks so much sturdier! 😊❤ Thank you!
That's a really good point in regards to multiple stitches worked in 1 ch, which stretches that chain, and the next chain becomes tiny and difficult to see.
Brilliant! 🩷
Easiest way I have seen this shown. Thank you! Can this be used for every pattern that starts with a regular chain?
I'm glad my explanation was easy to follow! Yes, it can be used with any pattern.
So interesting. I'll need to try this. The short chain needs to be double the length of the chains? Is that right? Is there a way to estimate the length? I'm a relative beginner.
The short yarn tail needs to be double the length of your intended chain. For example, if you need your chain to be 10 inches long, you short tail should be 20 inches, plus another 5-6. So 25-26 inches long. Hope this helps!
@@OlgaPoltava thank you. I'm looking forward to trying this method 😁
This method is called the long tail foundation chain
I didn't know the name! I shall put it in the title! Thank you!
@@OlgaPoltava you're welcome 😊
I really like the second way you showed us…I must try this. Thanks so much Olga…take care.😊🧶🩷
