the red white belt seems to illustrate it so effortlessly and then the black belt puts alot of technique into it and takes it to a whole new level. theres many subtleties and details in this stuff, and something to learn from each persons different way

This throw is illegal in modern judo.
Not if you don’t touch the leg! Keep watching the video to see a variant with no leg grab.
But this variation is allowed, because it almost never goes below the belt.
Who cares? There are 67 throws in Judo. There are only two that can't safely be applied in randori: kani basami and kawazu gake. Why should it matter if you can't do it when the IJF is around? I can't stand that argument. Judo as a martial art is larger than judo as a sport.
