I remember when you were pregnant, you didn’t want us to be “negative” about pregnancy and motherhood, it was a little naive in my opinion and some of us held back. It is not that we are negative but motherhood is a roller coaster of emotions and it’s very important to talk about the daily struggles along with the joyful moments. It can get lonely and worrisome when we see other moms in social media portraying a perfect motherhood experience when in reality it can be very difficult. I am glad that we are now able to talk about it. 😊 Edit to add, I have 4 kids, a toddler is the youngest and a 20 yr old is the oldest, it does not get easier. There is always something to worry about and even my mom tells me that her worry is still there even now that she has 4 grown kids of her own that have moved out and have families.
Wow…the podcast every mom needs! As a single mom of a 21month old who has has dealt with ppd on and off. Your words have validated all my feelings and thoughts I’ve had since my baby was born. Gracias 🫶🫶🙏🏼
I feel like it's still taboo to be open about feelings, thoughts and changes we women go thru after having a baby. But it shouldn't be that way. Thank you and your mom for opening up about this subject on post-partum. Many blessings to everyone ❤
Your mom’s story is my story and I cried throughout this episode. I’m so proud of your mom for talking about it, especially us as Latinos and in her generation it’s easy to feel like you have to adopt that “no pasa nada” mentality even if you feel like you’re falling apart. I’m finally 4 months postpartum and starting to come up for air.
This was such a beautiful episode. Thank you for talking about this topic-it means so much to all the moms going through pp. Your mom has so much wisdom and peace it’s soothing hearing her speak. You guys make a great team! Can’t wait for the next episode. ❤
Wow, I’m not even a mom and I didn’t know how much I needed this to hear your mom talk in the way that she expresses in the way that you to talk. It’s healing me. I love you guys.❤
First of all congrats on your podcast and happy you are doing this for the young ladies is always good to have someone to hear you and to advise you. I was a young mom, 19 to be exact when I had my first child, my experience with my pregnancy was very depressing becoming pregnant with my baby I had every one treated me like I had killed somebody, I didn’t even get a baby shower from anyone, at 8 months I had a scared had to take pills to Stop my baby from coming early, my first time as a mom wasn’t joyful I’m pretty sure I was depressed but no one cared to be there for me, now a mom of 4 and all are young adults I still think of those days where I wished I had a Stacey and her podcast, that’s why I’m glad you are doing this, I also have so many stories so many experiences that I would love to share to help other mommies and women, many aren’t blessed with people that are there for you, they can be living next door and still not care to even ask if you are okay. To all the mommies and women always remember that you aren’t never alone, and that if you are going through hardships, depression, reach out to someone you are not alone, and always pray, god always has your back I’m proof of that, no one was ever there for me, God was, he never forsake me: Blessings to your mom Stacey and to you and all the women and remember being a woman is hard, being a mother is even harder, let’s all be kind to one another.
I love that ur moms ganna be the cohost ❤ there is no better duo. She always speaks from the soul & God speaks through her… girl idk why I’m crying & im just in the intro. Of the vid!!
Im a new mom. I just had my first baby, he’s 5 weeks old. It’s been tough. But it’s so rewarding. You guys give such a comforting feeling ❤❤❤ amazing first video
Your moms story hit home. I was alone w my bf working and taking care of our daughter. It was so hard but couldn’t let others know the struggle as a Latina. I started to tear up and made me think through the lonely times I went through. I had no close family near by and my daughter stayed in the Nicu for a week and I felt so sad. 😭 gracias for talking about this especially from Latina motherhood.
@@ceec90 yeah had his mom but she was too busy competing w my daughter and her sons attention. :( I was so stressed out but still had to show up for my daughter.
You’re mom is such a strong woman! She reminds me so much of my own mom and I’m soooo excited for the conversation. I feel like this pod is going to help me grow as a woman!
I love the relationship you have with your mom. You are so sweet and appreciative of who she is to you. You always speak of her with so much love and respect, you are a wonderful daughter and now a wonderful mom yourself. God bless you both always.
I don’t even know what to say. This is exactly what every mom needs to hear ❤ postpartum can get very dark. Please ask for help. You’re not alone. You’re enough. You’re doing a great job. Gracias a las dos por ser tan transparente 💕
I loveeee this topic!!! Some moms are overworked and underappreciated and I love that u wanna "light there candle" that's awesome!!!!! Ur mom's beautiful inside and out and so r u Stacey!!!!! Blessings 💞
I love and support this so much 🥹💕 I am so glad your mom is understanding. My son is almost 2 and ppd/ppa is so real and can get very dark, like you said. It’s so important to talk about these struggles to help other moms not feel crazy or ashamed. I could go on forever talking about motherhood & postpartum. Going through scary times myself has brought me so much compassion to moms (new moms especially) 🤍
LOVE LOVE THIS 🥹❤️ que bendición que puedas hacer esto con tu mami! Im not a mom myself but have new mommy friends and this conversation was a great reminder of how one can support friends going through this season. Looking forward to the next episode 💕
Love this! Everything that your mom went through LITERAL everything even the miscarriage scare, pp is what I went through. Still going through it but behind closed doors. I had all the support anyone could want but still went through ppd pp anxiety. Like it was me something that wasn’t anyone’s fault.
Stacey Love a mother & daughter podcast! You and your mom did amazing.👏🏼💞Talking about your motherhood experiences can definitely help many new moms and those becoming a mother for a second or third….etc. time❤ I became a mom at 24 and second time at 34. And my experience with postpartum depression I felt much worse with my second child. Emotional roller coaster, anxiety, mom guilt😣But wouldn’t have changed a thing, other than excepting the help of loved once when they would offer it, and not feel guilty for getting help. Blessed to be there mother!🙏🏼❤️
I am not a mom yet, but I will also remember these things when my time comes primero Dios. 🙏🏼 muchas gracias por compartir estas conversaciones con tu mami. So excited to watch more episodes! 💕
Just started watching and I am so excited for you ladies. Your mom is ahhhmazing…happy she joined you on the podcast. I missed her when she stopped creating her own content on her YT channel. Love the VIBES…SUBSCRIBED ❣️✨
Our moms def had it a lot harder, we have access to so much information nowadays(I too had it a lil hard my kids born in 2001/02/05) I had postpartum depression and it was scary and felt lost and never got help for it… I just dealt with it the best I could 😢ur mom is the best I love how calm she is, but I absolutely love the respect she has for u guys ❤
Giiiirrrl when your mom started talking about the fact she was on medication and how bad her anxiety was it had me crying. My oldest is 15 and even then postpartum depression/anxiety were not really talked about. I had no idea what was wrong with me back then. I appreciate your mom sharing this so much🫶🏽. You are both amazing and I know this will help so many people!!❤
This podcast is a big blessing in my life right now going through the hardest challenge of becoming a mom. Thank you so so much Stacey & Mom 🤍 I am here for all of them…🔒🦻🫶
Not really a question but more of a request. I wish this podcast was a gathering in person. ❤ Stacey if you do a get together for new moms it would be so encouraging. I know in person things are not always easy to do and in that I want to say thank you to you and your mom. I’m 1 month postpartum and I must say just listening to you guys brings some comfort to my heart. Thank you.
I have had 3 pregnancies and it’s sooo hard to deal with postpartum. I have my family and his family but ninguno de ellos fue a hands on ayuda to me. Now, I can’t wait for my sister in law to get pregnant(she has had 3 miscarriage) to be a hands on help for her, and take care of her. Great podcast!
Your mom is a saint! You’re so lucky to have her. I’m glad she cut the chain and decided to be there for you and not hold things against her past and putting it on you. She decided to make a change and be present in your life and uplift you as a woman and mother you are! Amazing ladies thank you for this podcast I really needed to hear this. ❤
Wow! Having your mom as a cohost is so nice!!!! Plus to have this forever these conversations with her! Que hermoso!!!! Definitely following this podcast from now on!!!
I wish I heard this with my first baby, I was living with my fiance and his sister but felt so alone and misunderstood. You guys are amazing for having this conversation and letting new moms know it's ok to seek help 🫶🏼
I’m about to become a first time mom soon & I absolutely loved this podcast 😢. Now I have something to look back to when I start feeling down. Your mom did amazing 🫶✨

Great podcast! You were very fortunate to have an understanding mom, I never considered having my mom with me as I knew she wouldn’t understand what I would go through since she was so tough when she had her kids. Thankfully I had a great partner, and his family to help out, but I still struggled with mental health and it was tough the first 3 months. You are going to help so many moms out there with this podcast!
Such an amazing podcast. My son is 2.5 but I remember how hard postpartum was for me. Tearing up remembering those feelings of anxiety and always feeling like I wasn’t doing enough when in reality I was going above and beyond. Now all I can do is be a better mom friend to future moms ❤
Totally love this podcast with your mom hearing her is so motivational and as a newer mom to now a 1 year old I can totally relate . Definitely agree that having a good support system as a new mom is so important
Omg your mom is so beautiful ! I love her I feel like I’m listening to my favorite tia talking. I love it! She gives me the feeling of comfort and trust ❤Congrats on your podcast I love you so much girly keep up the amazing job and amazing content. This is the beginning of a beautiful journey ❤
Wow😢 when she said “your mom is there to tell you your doing great” my mom is so broken that I have never heard those words from her but hearing it from Mom D it’s like she’s my mom and she’s telling me🤗🤗🤗
(22:33 min) just know that these feelings dont go away if anything maybe momentarily because we never stay in one stage. We are beings of growth and every stage comes with its responsibilities, emotions, struggles, challenges you name it, and theres only so much we can do to be ready but every situation and circumstance is different. im a mom of 2 teenagers and I feel just as lost as when i was pregnant and worried of how to be not just a mom but the best mom to my child. I havr the same worry of how to be the best mom to my teenagers because our parenting determines to some extent how our children will turn out. Im sure I will continue to worry one they are adults, once they are married, once they have children and so on. A parents worry never goes away it just depends at what stage they are in and the responsibility gets even bigger as they grow, they will stop depending on you physically but the bigger worry/ responsibility moves on to letting them start living making decisions on their own. Especially in the society and world we live in now.
Mom to a 1 year old and love love this! Love your relationship with your mom. Love your moms words, everything about this. Goals for my relationship with my baby girl 🥹🥰💕
Cried sooo much , my son is 5 yrs now but I just remembered alll the feelings when he was a nb and going into him being a toddler being a mom is so hard ❤ but so rewarding, having support system is def a plus 🥹
i love love love everything about this! Stacey, I was also so triggered when my parents, in laws, great grandmas say about taking the baby etc. really felt that in my heart you saying you asked your mom to stop saying that.
Stacey, thank you for everything you do! I have qmrm tattooed on my leg cause since I’ve started following you I’ve always felt so connected to that saying🤍
I loveee this 🥹 as a mommy of 3 and still learning. Currently with a 1 year old first time being a full stay at home mom. I love that your mom is part of thisss you got this. I have 1 boy and two girls as well so listening to her is going to help me sooo much 💖
I’m not a mom, and I started to watch this bc i just love you but i did not think i would take anything from it. I was so wrong. This is amazing, pls keep going. Sigan haciendo esto, si a mi me llego al corazon solo me imagino aquellas madres pasando por todo esto. Hermoso, hermoso
That’s so cool that you are making a podcast with 2 different generation experiences and her being your mom! Eliza you got this! You have recorded videos before! Just keep speaking from your heart! I’m 33 years old and I also had postpartum anxiety and I think it was Bc I didn’t have someone with experience to guide and resassure me. My husband is also working and being the provider. I wish I would have had family be more hands on. For the second baby, I will definitely reach out to people that I can count on and ask for help.
Before I say anything else... Stacey, you y tú mamá are so CUTTTTTEEE!!! I look forward to what's to come 💛 Back to the podcast 😅 I wish I could say that my "mom instincts" came when I actually decided to have my own but for me as a prima, I had to help raise my 2 cousins at 13yrs old because my Tia was in and out of the hospital for the first 2 years of hers kids lives. And as Tia at 18 years old, I've been helping out one brother, who's a single dad, with his three kids and 2 of my other nieces who've been under my care since birth (21 yrs old) because my other brother and their biological mom do not have custody. I just wanted to say that there's rare gems like myself out there who are "technically" not mom's but had to step up in place of one. I thought for a very long time that I will never have my own since I spent the last 18 years helping raise my primos, sobrinas y sobrino; but I can say that, Stacey seeing your self discovery journey and then finally becoming a mom has sparked a new light to finally have my own 🇵🇷, plus my husband wants a little ranchero gamer buddy.🇲🇽😂 So "2024” 32 year old me will thank me for finally making this decision. Latino baby here we come! (No pun intended) 😅💛😁
I love this podcast so much 💕🫶🏻 Thank you, Stacey for bringing this on. Your mom is such a bad ass being a single mamá! 👑❤️ 💯 when a child is born, a mamá is born❤️🩹 Us mamas are all queens and warriors ❤️🔥 PS: a mama bear never ever stops worrying about her child/children no matter what age. It’s an unconditional love ❤️
I loved this podcast 🥹 I went through postpartum depression/anxiety when I had my baby he’s 1 yr and it was so awful wouldn’t wish that upon anyone and to think so many moms go through that but they don’t talk about it enough . I had to take medication for like 2 months because it was so bad :/
I remember when you were pregnant, you didn’t want us to be “negative” about pregnancy and motherhood, it was a little naive in my opinion and some of us held back. When your mom said that we do a lot and it’s get overlooked had me in tears. Thank you guys for letting us mom know that we’re doing great
me hubiera encantado que lo hicieras en Espanol siento que tu mami hubiera podido expresarse mucho mejor! 🥰

I feel like this will help her with the English aswell

I’m not a mom, and I started to watch this bc i just love you but i did not think i would take anything from it. I was so wrong. This is amazing, pls keep going. Sigan haciendo esto, si a mi me llego al corazon solo me imagino aquellas madres pasando por todo esto. Hermoso, hermoso
Proud of both of you !! For trying something new ✨✨🦋
I’m so glad your back!!!🩷
That’s so cool that you are making a podcast with 2 different generation experiences and her being your mom!
I look forward to what's to come 💛
Back to the podcast 😅 I wish I could say that my "mom instincts" came when I actually decided to have my own but for me as a prima, I had to help raise my 2 cousins at 13yrs old because my Tia was in and out of the hospital for the first 2 years of hers kids lives. I thought for a very long time that I will never have my own since I spent the last 18 years helping raise my primos, sobrinas y sobrino; but I can say that, Stacey seeing your self discovery journey and then finally becoming a mom has sparked a new light to finally have my own 🇵🇷, plus my husband wants a little ranchero gamer buddy.🇲🇽😂
So "2024” 32 year old me will thank me for finally making this decision. Latino baby here we come! (No pun intended) 😅💛😁
What your mami said at 16:50 made me tear up. That was so sweet 🥹🩷 I’m not a mom so I don’t know “that” feeling but it touched me ✨
So happy for this! I’m currently pregnant & I love this type of podcast ❤️❤️

Super excited to watch the whole thing, proud of you Stacey!!✨💕
Loveeeeeee that your mom is with you on this journey ❤
Yay I’m super thrilled 🎉 can’t wait to see where this is going to take us all 👏🏼❤
Yayyy🎉🎉🎉 I'm so happy you did it. Can't wait for your podcast to grow and see what else will you bring in the podcast. ❤😊
