    Congrats on your race Christian. I note you broke the 2 hours which given your tendon issues and the weather conditions was a great effort!

      Thanks! Yea it was pretty fun to recognize the 2 hour mark was possible yesterday. It gave me something to aim for during the race

    Best of luck! My half-marathon (OKC half) is still about five weeks away. Your videos have been a great inspiration to keep going, even when things get complicated.

      Very glad. We'll see what happens for me but sometimes when things go off-plan, it's refreshing to just have fun with it!

    Good luck on Sunday Christian, thank you for the info. I didn't realize that course was that hilly, I'm going to have to pace myself wisely. Hope to see you there, I'm in the same wave and corral as you, 7:50 start.

      Awesome! Yea it has it’s fair share of hills. You’ll get a taste early in prospect park, so you can make the early adjustments from there and plan ahead, no problem. You got it!

    Enjoy your videos! We flew up from Mississippi for the race this weekend. Any thoughts/advice for the cold and especially the winds forecast for the race?

      @ChristianRunsNY  Рік тому +1

      Definitely bring warm layers, including throw away clothes. You can grab something at a goodwill or something if you are already here. There are donation bins at the corral to toss it right back in as you go.
      It’s pretty hard between bag check and the actual start to stay warm. So you want throw away hats and gloves that are warmer than wht you would run in to keep with you in the corral.
      Maybe keep the hat or a long sleeve on with short sleeves underneath as you start, then you can throw it along the course as you’re running.
      Other than that it will be windy on the bridge most likely and the FDR of miles 7, 8, 9. Not much of a way to avoid that part haha. You’ll see people in singlets and shorts who are used to our temps but it will feel cold if you are used to warmer weather.
      Have fun!
