      @@noahharrington8883 Is there anyone else in ANY sports to keep breaking their own record for 16 years?
      We can barely break our own PRs for so long lol. Year after year it looked like only a couple weeks had passed and Big Z was just a regular guy at the gym adding weight to the bar every other week. While in fact he was increasing his world record and all the other strongest men in the world were way behind.

    This is like Tiger Woods handing out lessons on golf swing, or Roger Federer showing you the technique to a good back hand. 16 years WR and nobody really close to him at his peak. The GOAT was repping the Austrian oak at the Arnold's, when they had to bring the lighter log for others lol. His log for reps and I think 208 axle for reps are the most Impressive feats of upper body power ever!

    • @baconfromhell666

      I agree, I've always thought that a heavy overhead press of whatever variation is much more impressive than a heavy bench press.

      @@baconfromhell666 I completely agree with you! It's WAY more technical to overhead press anything! Also being a good bench presser is alot of genetics! U have to be built to bench heavy ! If not u will struggle with it ! Barrel chest ,short arms are always great bench pressers but ask them to clean a log and press it and there body levers don't work so well for the overhead!!

    You know why Z has been the Force of Nature he's been for 20+ years, while guys like Eddie had such a short career? Because Z is on another level of genetics. His power comes entirely from superior strength genes, while Eddie only got at this level taking all kinds of steroids ever invented, at insanely high doses. Eddie couldn't keep anymore at this dangerous pace, so he left the scene before any worse happened. At the same time, Z has been on the game so long because he's just naturaly gifted. Not saying he doesn't take anything, but if he does, it's nowhere near the doses Eddie had to take, allowing Z to just keep going strong and healthy for decades and decades and decades.
    Simply put: Z while powered by legendary GENETICS, has a career longevitivy, titles and WRs that would make a list go from here to the Moon and back again. While Eddie only competed for a very, very short moment while full of drugs to the bones.
    This is simply the answer why Z is the greatest strength athlete of all times, he's powered by genetics on a whole different league even if compared to other WSM champions.
    Z is the stuff legends are made of.

    What type of belt is better to use?
    I'm just starting to do strongman,

    I do 4 set. 3 reps

  • @strongmanexpress755
    @strongmanexpress755 4 роки тому +2

    That's what I call a no bullshit content! The god himself has spoken.
    If I train for one rep max log lift, I'd find out my log clean and log press maxes before prep. Then I'd work by percentages. Somehow I see similarities between my thoughts and Z's vision when you can work on clean and press with different weight range respectively. Just like olympic weightlifters do with their clean and jerk discipline.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but could I somehow make my log lift better if I do hex bar deadlift and safety bar squats instead of working with regular bars? And then bench press with a football bar instead of a regular one? Basically, if I use as much neutral grip equipment as possible, would log lift increase quicker and become easier to lift?

    • @TheOmniscientAtheist
      @TheOmniscientAtheist 4 роки тому

      I'm not big Z but tbh mate I don't think so. You would have to prioritise the log itself and all your other pressing would just be to build muscle, if anything a standard grip would compliment the neutral grip on the log. If you've never done log before just do 5x5 with empty log 2x per week to get used to it with cleans as well. Then go to once per week, gradually increase the sets and weight and decrease the reps and accessory work; that's my 2 cents.
