Jemisha, I think Peter has always been fond of drums. He first started playing drums. And by '77 Phil has made his mark as a remarkable drummer but couldn't resist the temptation of being in the center of the show. Excellent drummer but a horrific singer and the worst Gabriel's impersonator while singing what he shouldn't have. In my humble opinion.
A brilliant song. He sure can write 'em.
Lyrics funny but sad at the same time. Poignant? I played this when my dad passed from heart failure
Incredibly beautiful version. Thanks, PR. :)
👍👍
...love this !
Beautiful, thanks Phobero,
holy shit that one drop beat
I think this performance is superior to the album. Great vocal performance! Always loved this one.
wish there was video or photos but, I love this song, It's on what I think is his first solo album.
No, on peter gabriel 2 (1978)
geniusz
Alan Schwartzberg was the drummer,i believe
2nd album
Like this here version but it's a little drummy. I think its Phil Collins before he learned how to play.

Respect Allan Schwartzberg
NOOOO, he only wrote the lyrics, like in Genesis - don't you read the biographies? ;-)
