The thing I love the most of RVing is meeting friendly people wherever you travel. Cargo trailers offer an inexpensive and fun way of traveling. Safe travels and keep having fun.
I have a small utility trailer, me and my son plan on turning into a small camper/ bugout trailer, its only 5.5 x8 ft.,that with a camper shell on my 4x4 v6,ranger would be all we really need and doing it 80 percent free materials we already have . plywood, screws. 2x2s,solar panels, batteries, controllers, inverter, wiring, propane camper furnace, 6 gallon water heater , pumps ,water tank, and the 5 gallon toilet lol. Have a blessed day.
$38 or more for a mount is unreasonable....trying to show my 8 yr old grandson and younger how to- think- about a solution to these sort of challenges and make things yourself
Meeting good friends is always great. You had some ideas they could use, and we all need some help from time to time. My wife and I hit the road after I retired the first 21-year job. We were 42 yrs. of age, visited 22 states and lived in Florida for 7 months for total year and a half travel. When we left town to get on our way (we had pulled the 29' Escaper 5th wheel with 3/4-ton Chevy for one trip to get practice) but that first hour 20 miles out of town I found out just how electric brakes would save lives, it had stopped us on a dime, and I do mean a dime. Following about 8 cars - a mail man had stopped out front, for a "mailbox delivery" on the highway. It felt like a bungee cord stop with no sound at all (just stopped). So, YES trailers do need some kind of brakes for sure. Wishing "ALL" save travels. Larry at 78 yrs. old now
On our recent visit to Florida we had two different times that someone pulled out directly in front of us making me have to slam on the brakes to avoid t-boning them. I was warned before we got there that it seems to be a common occurrence in that state and it turned out to be so.
Banana cream, anything is always good. Do like those Dickinsen heaters, but they are pricey. Thought about one for my Aliner. Nice family. Thanks for sharing. Travel safe.
Oh my goodness.. that banana cream waffle looked wonderful! I just bought a mini waffle maker, maybe I'll make breakfast for dinner tonight. Interesting build. Looked comfortable & versatile. Be well & safe travels.
Waffles looked great. Jo-Ann and I had Chicken & Waffles for supper last night. Looks like Chad has the start of a good cargo trailer camper going. Safe travels my friend. JT
Don’t be as concerned with what you can pull, always be very concerned of what you can stop. You just need to be put in that situation one time and you’ll never forget it.
Great food and a very nice trailer. I would install a roof mount on the cab of that truck for the bikes, giving them more room in the trailer. It is not an easy job drilling thru that steel roof but worth the effort, or just have it installed by an accessories shop. I would say most people don't want to mess with the headliner and airbag systems. If done, remember that thing is up there, no drive-thrus or anything with low clearance, lol. Thanks for the tour, and good luck, Mike
What a great build! It is so interesting to see how individuals figure out their needs! Enjoying this video this morning, with a nice cup of Cowboy coffee😘🙋♀️🛻🇨🇦‼️
We're having coffee right now too! We bought a single serve Kcup type coffee maker to use in the trailer since we have more power. Used it camping last week and boy, it was nice!
Really like this Video ... We recently bought a 6x10v 80% done . We have owned 1 travel Trailer, 1 A-Frame, both nice. But Our new Cargo Camper is so user friendly and we love it. We will be making improvements along the way to add some simple options. Thanks for your positive Spirits!! Bob >
We were really happy to give Goneagain the content for this video. We definitely didn’t invite them to brunch so we would end up in a video. That was just a fortunate side effect. Rick and Linda are just a genuine in person as they are on their videos. It was a complete honor to spend this time with them.
Thank you, Chad, Raejean and Kenna for a great brunch and letting us tour your trailer. We always learn something from others and cargo trailers are always not done. Or at least ours isn't. Hope we see you all again! Aloha ~~Linda
You may be able to find some flexible solar panels for the tonneau cover. I prefer glass but they're heavy when you need to get into the bed of the truck. I'm guessing it would hold around 300w plus the top of the truck. Typo
Rick & Linda ! GTSY both again. i guess YT didn't like me watching you too much as i see I'm still subscribed and "ALL" notifications are on ! This is the first video I have received a notification on since ... 🤔ever since🤔! Hope you both are doing well !
We were wondering where you went, haven't seen a comment from you in quite awhile! Glad you're back, and just in case you don't get a notification, just look for us every Friday. ~~Linda

I like how Chad, Raejean and Kenna's trailer is coming along! Love Linda's shorter hair-do. It makes her look very elegant (I'm a child of the late 1950s, so...). And! My word! WHERE is this WAFFLE? when I might be in the area...
Definitely a great idea using cargo trailer builds ! The RV industry is building garbage lately! I actually carry bicycles on the front of my F 150 pickup! They sell 2” receivers that front mount . Not e bikes. Probably too heavy ! Thanks for sharing Rick & Linda !😁👍
Pretty awesome thank you so much for including so many of us in your journeys and meeting wonderful new people and showing us all there are so many out there that are kind and friendly
Loved this! Sent to a friend who currently lives in a van but is looking for a little more room and can go in the backcountry with his daughter. Great trailer!
Nice family and trailer setup. Those waffles looked great. Might just have to dig out my old waffle maker. A butter Pecan waffle would be so tasty. Have a nice weekend you guys.
That Banana cream waffle also comes in other varieties like strawberry and blueberry. I need to skip a couple of meals so that I can go back and try another one.
I really like the windows and extended tongue that has 3 points of contact. I'm looking for ideas to use in my own cargo conversion. Do you know how long that tongue is? Is theirs all aluminum? I've been looking for a used cargo trailer but have decided it will probably be easier to get a new one that'll meet my checklist! Thanks for this interview Rick and Linda!
I think our tongue from the b-nose is about 4 ft to the ball. Our frame is steel. I like the weight of the aluminum, but the strength of the steel is nice.
We used a local dealer and selected all of the items we wanted. I would probably do more of my own if I did it again. But it was nice not having to mess with stuff either.

so how do you cool your camper? we`re heading out to the south dakota area in a month and am worried about the heat, not being made of money we`re trying ideas of cooling, any ideas??? thanks Don
Chad and Raejean have AC on their roof, but Linda and I don't. It's usually a matter of avoiding the really hot areas during the summer. SD is cooler if you stick to the mountains and it isn't too humid at the higher elevations either. As long as the nighttime temps get down to where you can sleep with a small fan running, you should be ok. Also, shade the south side of your RV if at all possible, with a tree or even a tarp, to keep it cooler during the day. The closer you are to Iowa the more humid it is!

Yes, the people we meet along the way are the best part of our traveling. Love it!
Cool beans.
Those same bunks in many sailing boats (race boats) that I've worked on, they're light, can be rolled up and are surprisingly comfortable. Good show 👍
They really are very comfortable. People don’t believe me until they try it.

You do meet some nice folks. And with Chicken and Waffles, more is always better!
Oh yeah.
I bolted down a milk crate to tongue bed of my 5x8 trailer for 20lb LPG tank, use a strap too, fr 2 yrs now
It's strange that mounts for a single 20lb bottle aren't readily available.
