- The Chicago Bears could get a bounty of NFL Draft picks by making a big trade down to a team like the Arizona Cardinals at 27 that have extra draft capital, but Ryan Poles might not want to give up the opportunity to take a Top 10 player with the ninth overall pick.
It's a question of quantity versus quality for the Bears, but even a Top 10 pick is far from a sure thing for a blue chip player.

Love what Allen brings alongside Moore but everyone that says your set at WR is forgetting that in the last five years he’s played every game only twice. So, as much as I’d like to say he’ll be good going forward, you can’t necessarily count on it. So if there’s an elite WR on the board, that’s got to be a a prime consideration. Pass rusher as well.

If Alt, Nabers and Odunze are gone at #9, we should consider Bowers as a big WR/HBack combo. When Keenan Allen leaves or retires, Bowers becomes the slot guy.

I'd take Bowers over Odunze.
Take a look at the SB.
Kittle and Kelce.
Bowers is in the same league with K+ K and he's incredibly hard to break down.
They could take one of the top 3 receivers or Alt if they fall but my feeling is they will want to trade down because the draft is deep at WR, and Offensive Line.

I think you can get a 1st 2nd and 3rd from Cincy if one of the big 3 receivers are still on the board at 9 because Cincy has two 3rds. And this allows Cincy to move Higgins, they could recoup the 2nd and 3rd in this years draft and possibly gain a 2nd or 1st next year based on Higgins performance in 2024. I see Jacksonville who just lost Ridley as a good trade partner for Cincy in this scenario.
If the top 3 receivers and DT Turner are gone, I would trade down no lower than 15, and pick up a 2nd round this year and a future pick .
Bears need to use their 9th pick. Blue chip player over quantity is are not always sure thing either

Other than pick 1, it”ll be tough for the bears to make this a good draft. I doubt Odunze drops to 9. Bears need lots of help on o line. Even Caleb knows this already. He’s not looking forward to his nail polish getting scratched.
My take is trade down to 15, or so, and take byron murphy. I see him as a difference maker for the defense.

Where are people getting this idea that the bears will trade down #9 for a massive haul? You cant get a haul at that position!! Only the top 3 picks can be traded for a haul and its only done to get a QB. 3 QBs will be gone after picks 1-3
