Seriously, is there anyway to fix this stupid glitch? I've reloaded the same goddamn save eight times to try and get it to work but the stupid chest flat out refuses to open up.
Guys calm down, yes this problem still exists on the console versions of the game, yes it still exists, on the PC it does not, but on the other hand it does not prevent you from creating wolf grandmaster armor and swords, because grandmaster equipment does not require for its creation armor of its previous stage.
I downloaded the game first and then the dlc not realizing that the armor was a dlc quest till last night actually. Doesnt work for me, found the upgrades though, but can't get the basic armor
PS4 Pro here - have both DLCs, etc. and the basic wolf set (Hieronymus' notes) at the tower still glitches and I can't get it to work, no matter what tricks I try (though I haven't done a New Game + yet). From my understanding it's a bug that the devs just can't fix, even after 4 years - I just wish they could just find a way to put it in the game in a different location
Everybody i know its too late but the way to fix this glitch is to start a newgame + i did it on my xbox one and it work ,it also fixed the hearts of stone glitch
This is 3 years old right now, so you probably don't care or already know this, but the way to get them is the maps from armor merchants. Look up "the witcher 3 how to get wolven gear quest" and click on the one by fluffy ninja lama. In the description he has a link on how to find these.
@@LilJimmyy I'm late and dont really remember but the merchants who sell the maps to the diagrams are Hattori, the armorer in Novigrad-Hierarch Squear, the armorers in Ard Skellig, the armorer in Madman Lugo's territory and some other armorers in small cities in Velen. Google it and you will find them easily.
Do you remember where that werewolf was in some ruins in Velen I think? I came across it by accident, could beat it, I think it was at level 32 or something, and wanted to go back but I can't find the ruins. I think it was near the swamp in the south.
The year 6969 I've waited so long for this damn chest to be fixed. This must be why the DLC was free. Fuck this I don't need the quest competition coins
Not sure, but so far, 5 min before the end of this guide, I have yet to find 1 single mistake or error or bug. This a great walk through. Could it be better, yes. Points on maps could have been larger in area in order to swiftly identify where it is. Also, a couple of times of changing regions before looting everything there for each "quality"... like 1 in Kaer Mohen and the next in Velen, then back to Kaer, etc. A bit of wasted time here. Lastly, all monsters were killed before doing this... so not sure if it was intended as a "non spoiler" or simply something that could have warned us in advance about what we had to face. Anyway, all around, good vid. Thx.
This really kills the game for me. I have over 30 hours on the game and did so much to get to the quest location just to learn now that it’s bugged. I don’t want to start all over again.

Started the quest, was able to open the chest and no apology letter in sight, but then died after not being able to get the crystal (I fell). Reloaded a save, got back to the tower, got scared when I saw the apoogy letter because I thought that meant the end and that my game was glitched as well. But then I was still able to open the chest. I think it's patched now? Or not? I got the game with all dlcs as a package (PS4). Maybe that has something to do with the glitches people been having with the chest?

I have Gott tue Standard armor under the Tower and complete the normal Wolf set(mission) but i cant craft the chest, it says i need the wolfchest i have every other items. It glitches on my first play through. But worked with NG+ on my second. If you still haven’t tried it.
