the very first time I played this game I got the bad ending, the next time, I got the ending where Ciri becomes a Witcher, I have never been able to figure out how to get the Empress ending, I only ever get the quest to find Thaller, I think tha'ts the start of the 'kill Radivid' quest, but no other quest started to actually kill Radivid :-(
@@squallion777 After finding Thaler, you will get a quest where Dijkstra, Roche, Thaler all meet and plot to kill him, Also Philippa will spy on you and will help you. I don't remember the quest name though.
@@squallion777 okay that is the tricky part. After you finish Thaler's quest, "A Deadly Plot", the assassination quest will not pop up, because you need to do other things first. You just got to keep moving forward in the main story, you will eventually find Philippa in Djikstra's bathhouse right? When you are trying to get her from him, you should not [Shove Djikstra aside forcefully] but talk to him, you will tell him you have info on Emhyr and after that the assassination quest will be triggered, "Reasıon of State".
Kinda wish Roche could defeat Nilfgaard :( Also: "geralt continued his journey alone on the Path, ever coinless"-- *me with 80k crowns in my inv* "excuse me what?"
Roche could take Nilfgaard within an afternoon, he's Vernon fucking Roche. Emyhr would be dead and Roche would just be hanging out in Vizima waiting for them to come fight him
@@spaceinvader4565 have you cleared all question marks on Skellige? The place is a goldmine, 3-4 rounds there and back to the merchants - 40k gold + change in Vivaldi's bank.
@@spaceinvader4565 I kept selling everything I looted, and ended up with 70k near the end of B&W before the Capture the Castle mission. Or you could just enter console commands (works on pc too) and end up with an unlimited amount of gold. Like me. 200k gold with all Grandmaster gears crafted :s
Naturally with my choices on the first playthrough got the ending with Ciri ruling the empire, Geralt getting together with Yen, Cerys being the queen of Skellige. Now learning about other endings makes me reflect on how well the game is written. All the endings do reflect the beliefs and preferences a player would have in order to make the corresponding choices. Brilliant.
How much you gain from him ? Because I recently come back to re-playng the game for the seventh time just to do the worst ending in the main campaing , because that was the only ending I don't have the courage to done yet .
@@xLetalis Just this ? You mean 2000 , or 20.000 ? In New game plus mode I think this is not enough, since you already start this mode with a lot of money from the loaded save of the normal campaing mode, you can make a lot more money lateral selling the looted items in the smuggler depots found in skellige and also making the witcher contrats again to and negotiating the value of the reward with the contractors, The classic " I came to bargain ".
Sometimes I blame those choices for too few descriptions...... you don't need to be good at everything = get drunk with your daughter?????? *WHAAT* lol
same here, but somehow I still got the snowball one wrong and there're SO MANY cut-scenes you need to skip just to reload, worst mistake ever XD I actually thought "I know one solution" (or something) was about drinking. That's what I would say before inviting a sad person to drink =))
Hey, I actually got the hardest ending to get in Blood and Wine on my first playthrough without research. Going for every dialogue and reading stuff paid off XD
I'm pissed that didn't happen for me, I got the good endings for everything else without research but I got the bad ending where you take the ribbon and they both die in blood and wine
Its 04:00AM and im watching your videos after playing witcher 3 for over 1800 hours. Your channel is such important part of witcher community. Thanks alot for everything. Much love to you and your family, may you all be healty and well
I will never forget my first hour with The Witcher 3. I was like "ok, this is too amazing. I need to go buy the first 2 and play them in sequence before I continue." I have no regrets. Witcher 2 especially was really cool. Once I had acclimated myself with the storyline, it just made Witcher 3 that much better.
You replayed Witcher 1 and 2? I left the game for like 2 months to binge all the books(audiobook form) and watch playthroughs of both witcher 1 and 2 on UA-cam before I even picked Witcher 3 up again.
Played Witcher 1, then Witcher 2 thrice for the different endings and Witcher 3 once(got the bad ending). It was actually in this sequence, W1 > W2 > W2(imported my W1 saves this time because I forgot during 1st playthrough) > W3 > W1(downloaded the DLC's and finished it, the one where there was no english dub) > W2(for another ending) . This was before Netflix's adaptation with Cavill. Planned on playing the games first before watching the show.
Just a correction. If u skip the choise of meeting ciri's father, out of the 4 questions u only need two right questions to have a good ending, not 3.. I did attend the soceresses meeting along with ciri, and gave the necklace to her as well.. But Ciri ended up as a witcher.
I think Ciri doesn't actually die at the "bad ending", she just chose to disappear because of the way Geralt's been treating her. I mean in that scene in the tower, the same thing happens no matter what you chose, only the aftermath is different, so I don't think she could die only because of bad feelings or something like this.
I agree. in the bad ending, before killing the witch, ciri died she says: you will die soon, the prophecy says it doesn't lie, but we didnt die, that's why Ciri is alive.
It's been 2 years, and it turns out you may have been right this entire time and your theory could've been the final secret of the game 🤯 Check out latest vid if you haven't already seen it :)
as somebody who just played this game for the first time in 2019 I really appreciate your videos. i wanna get every little bit of gameplay from this game. so thanks!
VBM3D yeah in previous witcher games i was with triss and when i read book i started to hqte triss because she hate love between geralt and yennefer. So yeah my last save game is next to yennefer in farm. And my main ending was Ciri witcher. I was worried she died when geralt talk to emhyr and when he brings that sword to ciri i was shocked and happy. 156 hours that i dont regret
just wanted to say that i love u bro. theres something about u that ive noticed in witcher enthusiasts, calm, humble and cognizant. keep up the good work. i like ur content.
I think the ending where the two sisters make peace is one of the most touching scene in the game. It plays so deeply with me, always brings me to tears. Thank you for this vid :D
I just finished HoS yesterday and i wished this was the case too. Maybe the devs left it open ended for that reason? But in reality...just finish the story.
That would undermine his character and make the choice you could make to give him to gaunter invalid. As it is written, it fits the theme of the story just right
Me, realizing I made literally every wrong choice with Ciri except the optional one (which I didn't do): ._. It's cool though that the "wrong" decisions can feel like right ones too. Supporting your child in confronting someone, sharing a drink with her, trying to spare her the pain of seeing someone's grave who she cared about, giving her a necklace..
My thoughts exactly. I cannot put into words how cheated I feel about having done my utmost to support Ciri, and then the game makes her vanish, not even bothering to _tell_ me what happened to her. I don't mind the _money_ I paid for the game. I am seriously pissed about the *time* I sunk into it.
@@Noone-of-your-Business well, one could argue that you supported her as if she were a child. ciri in that time frame is a young adult woman, a woman that had to grow up so quickly next to her peers, possibly the most powerful human being ever lived. she got adult problems and needs geralt's help as a young adult, not a child. she needs to know that she can handle the sorceresses alone, reminding her that even though she is the most powerful human ever, she still needs time to blow off steam with his father figure and to see the grave of one of few humans that were good to her. being next to her when she visits skjall's grave is a must.
@@TheKurtkapan34 I appreciate the effort, but I fail to see how having a snowball fight or letting her trash somebody's office would be an "adult" way of solving a problem. As great as The Witcher's storytelling is, they really messed up these 5 completely arbitrary choices to determine the end sequence. And as a player, I really feel cheated here. And they also failed to make Geralt the protagonist of his *own* story in the finale. It all boils down to Ciri, making _her_ the hero of the story. Which matches the passages when the game forces you to play _her_ instead of the character that you have been building for dozens of hours. I _hated_ those Ciri sequences because they took away everything I had worked for so hard and forced me to play a game style that I had, very deliberately, NOT chosen when leveling my Geralt. This is not how _role playing_ works, and certainly not how gameplay in general works: taking away the player's *_agency._* Which is exactly what is wrong with the ending of this game.
Just finished the game, came to see all the different endings. I have to say, I had exactly the same ending as you. Only difference is that I joined in on Ciri talking to the sorceresses but helping her to find the grave. Didn't realize I was that close to a bad ending :O
My first playthrough endings were: Main game: 1 Ciri became a Witcher 2 Geralt ended up with Triss 3 Cerys became queen 4 Nilfgaard won the war Hearts of Stone: I tricked Gaunter Blood and Wine: Happy ending :)
My first play through I did 90% of it completely without help/watching videos, only heard that there are good and bad endings after having made a few of the important choices and was shitting myself that ciri was going to die. So when geralt goes to emyhr to tell him ciri is dead I almost started crying and was about to delete every save and restart everything. But as I was finishing the game, meeting ciri in the tavern I was probably the happiest person in the world at that point. That’s how amazing this game is, it can create these emotions in people.
I almost reloaded...then, something about the sword...I almost guessed who I was meeting at the Inn. In fact I guessed, cause first thing I did when getting the sword was checking the inventory: when I saw no stats, no level, I was sure, this was for Ciri. Also...just one sword, not 2. Helped my guessing just as much, along with the elven inscription. But I still wasn't 1oo% sure, so the reloading was an option till the moment I saw her 🎋
Based on this, I only made 2 correct choices out of the 4 I encountered and got the Ciri becoming a witcher ending. I gave her the necklace, accompanied her with the sorceresses, and didn't take her to Nilfgaard. Based on the 3 choices rule I should have gotten the bad ending, unless not taking her to her father is maybe counted as a good choice?
I don't know how the game scores it internally, but I think it' more accurate to say you need to make 3 bad choices to get the bad ending, 2 bad choices always gives one of the good ones...
I believe you just have to make either more or an equal number of "good" choices to get one of the good endings. So if you make 2 good and 2 bad, (and don't do the optional 5th) you get a good ending.
yeah i did the same to you, guess the others reply is telling the truth.. wow we're so close at getting the sad ending, i was so scared and sad when Geralt come to Emyhr and told him that she's die.
I always approach the game with new game and new game + together as one long play through. Make all the harder choices in the first playthrough, like killing the rare monsters for their mutagens (succubus, doppler, etc), letting O'Dimm take his soul so you get the sweet Roach saddle, etc. Then in the new game + you can have all those things you want/need without making choices you'd rather not make.
I'm missing one decoction, the Succubus one, and it doesn't bother me one bit. I killed the thief doppler, after watching a video, but still regretted it. I was not about killing that sweet second succubus in Skellige just for a diagram. The Roach saddle? No way. It turns Roach into something else, a different being, literally a "Night-Mare". Wouldn't do that to her, in order to win a few completely optional races.
Thanks again! I kicked ass the first time I did Hearts of Stone, ( LOVED that story SO much ) but I failed Blood and Wine, ended up with a statue of Henrietta after her death but I was not in jail. No matter how many times I tried to play it different ways, I kept getting them dead, NOW I can do it right :D ( Loved Reginald the most...fave part was when he had to fall off the wagon, was caged and we were transforming him to get some blood, THAT was an epic scene, Reginald the monster!!!!! ) For my game, I did not know there was an outcome where I could have the Baron live, so I caught that in time too. Last playthrough, Yennefer showed up at the White Orchard tavern, and Ciri was not a Witcher. I SO enjoy this game and I am SO glad to have your vids to refer to for this round. Going 2 years plus not touching it has made it so enjoyable again. After Witcher, maybe Witcher PLUS 2nd playthrough, I will try CyberPunk again, I too, was one of those people that bought the game because it was from the people that brought us Witcher....SO angry they put out a buggy game after they made us wait FOREVER for it. Hopefully the bugs are worked out by now.
My first ending was Ciri becoming empress. I did it accidentally. I had no idea what choices were involved in that case until now. Thanks for this video.
In blood and wine I had the best/most difficult ending but in the dialogue with syanna I told her "to go ask Henrietta herself" instead of "she was still a child" and still ended up with both of them alive
I got the best ending in blood and wine in my first playthrough but i didnt make the right choice when syanna asks geralt why he has come to the fairy tale world at 13:19. Still glad though that i got the happily ever after ending.
I didn't take Ciri to Emhyr but only made 2 right decisions (Snowball + Skjall). Got the Meeting with her and Necklace wrong. So 2 right + 2 wrong but I still got Witcher ending. Phew.
13:17 not sure if this has changed since the video but you can pick either dialogue option here and still get the same ending. 14:48 same with this dialogue choice - I picked the other and got the same end
I was watching this to find out how you get the empress Ciri ending and I find it interesting that you have to go out of your way to help Nilfgaard win in order for Ciri to become empress, I don't know if there's a scene concerning this, but the implication is that it's Geralt's wish as well as Emhyr's for Nilfgaard to win the war and have Ciri on the throne. At the same time, knowing how the books present Nilfgaard before Emhyr's rule, it's no wonder he is assassinated if he doesn't win the war.
My first playthrough endings were like this: Main game: - Ciri became a Witcher - Geralt ended up with Triss - Cerys became queen - Nilfgaard won the war Hearts of Stone: I sided with Gaunter Blood and Wine: Both sisters died Except for Blood and Wine I can't really say I regret anything.
@@eredin9684 It's not about the sword or any rewards. It is about O'Dimm probably being my favorite character in the whole game and about me not liking Olgierd.
I can tell you for certain that the last dialogue option is unimportant when trying to convince Syanna not to kill her sister. I did all the steps with the exception of the last dialogue option "you might ask her" and got the good ending the same.
Ciri becomes a witcher, Gaunter gets thrown back into Hell and the Duchess and her sister are reunited. Oh, and Triss at Corvo Bianco. These are my best endings.
You can also choose the "want to relive my childhood" option in the Land of Fables and it won't have a negative impact on Syanna. That one doesn't seem to be essential to convince her to make up with her sister, I chose that one and still managed to not have them both be killed. The same goes for "Might wanna ask her that", when you talk to her in the tower. It seems that both of those options aren't really necessary or essential. In fact, I would even argue that it makes sense that you choose the other options in those cases, as it makes Geralt come off as a) a bit snarky and humorous, in the Land of a Thousand Fables, instead of him pointing out to her that she apparently needs saving and b) when you tell her that she might have to ask Anna all that herself, you don't handwave it all away with the "you were children" excuse, but instead encourage her to search her own answers.
I somehow managed to stumble my way through to the good ending in B&W but I just wish Regis didn't have to go, he was so cool. Also oh my god I just realised what gaunter o'dimm's initials spell.
I just finished my first play though and I : did snowballs, didn’t go to emperor, went with Ciri to talk to the witches, gave her the necklace, and went with her to the grave. End result, Ciri became a Witcher in the end and after I finished a few contracts with her, I went to kovir with Triss.
I got the bad ensing on this playthrough. Irony is not lost to me because i thought i made "right" choices. On my first playthrough years ago i got the good ending.
>I would like to mention something: for the witcher ending, it doesn't matter if you see emhyr or not. However, if you DO see him, make the choice that doesn't get you the coin. AKA don't sell ciri. I got the ending with her as a witcher and I went to emhyr. Edit: thanks so much, this video helped me alot in blood and wine ✌
Are there ways for Ciri to become Empress at least if you take the coin? Got the Witcher ending, never even went to see Emyhr, but I wonder for New game +...🎋
For the first time ever, I played The Witcher 3 over the holidays even though I have had a physical copy of the game for more than 4 years. After finishing the base game, I paid and downloaded both expansion packs. Here are the endings that I got: 1). Emhyr conquers the North. 2). Ciri becomes a witcher. 3). Cerys is Queen of the Skellige Isles. 4). Geralt ends up with Triss. 5). (Hearts of Stone) Olgierd lives, Gaunter "dies." 6). (Blood and Wine) Anna Henrietta and Sylvia Anna both live, Dettlaff dies.
13:18 actually this choice doesn't matter.i chose the 2nd option where geralt talks about his childhood and still got the best ending. And the choice also rather funny.
At 13:18 I chose "Came to look for my lost childhood" and still got the ending where both Syanna & Anna live Edit: woo I got a heart from the big man himself Edit 2: damn he took it away
Ceadmill, E'er y glòir aen Xletalis ! You never dissapoint me whenever you make a video about the Witcher video games.... Great job since I was also a bit confused about how to get the Ciri Witcher ending.... Visse gead'tocht gaedeen ! (You have done well !) 👍👍👍 Va fail...
My 1st playthrough: Baron dies Emhyr wins Ciri wtcher (I did snowballs & skjalls grave) Cerys in skellige Geralt with yen HoS I helped Olgierd BaW deatlaff and both sisters dead (ribbon variation)
@@markerek01 I got this one too. Was bummed about Baron ending. Also killed Keira out of accident because I didn't think that would escalate that quickly LMAO.
Just came here to be sure I didn’t have to play the new game+ or any of the expansions. The main game was good but incredibly long and I was mentally exhausted after. Also was a bit bummed Geralt and Yen just “retired” I was hoping to see more about their future. Happy Ciri lived though, thought for sure it was a bittersweet sacrifice.
Honestly I always thought that the so called “bad ending” was actually the best ending from a writing and plot perspective. It fits the dark and gloomy nature of the Witcher’s world perfectly and the symbolism in it is just amazing. It is by far the deepest and most realistic ending to Geralt and Ciri’s story, in my opinion.
I also agree. Mainly because there's the fan fiction theory of the Aen Elle being to blame for creating the white frost when they started to experiment with magic. They also created the "elder blood" bloodline to counter this. No one knows this but Avallac'h seems to have found out in his lab between the books and the Witcher 3. So yeah, either Ciri dying when fighting the white frost or losing her magic makes sense. Anyway, I could never let Ciri die... Playing Witcher 3, reading the books, playing Witcher 2 and then 3 again.. I really feel like she's my little girl when I roam with Geralt!
Ammar S Basri I’m not saying it’s the best for everyone or my personal favorite, but there’s no denying that it’s the most realistic and fitting end to Geralt and Ciri’s story. It’s also by far the deepest in terms of symbolism and writing.
Since the orianna trailer is the extension of ciri visiting you in touissant and basically the real ending of this game the bad ending of the main game was probably not the intended one... even if it is the more fitting for the witcher. In any way it was my result after playing for the first time. I was deeply unsettled, mad and empty after that... the crones won.
P St neither ending was really intended 100% sure but if you read the books you can see that the focus is mostly on destiny and how fighting it is pointless and will only turn back and haunt you, so if you view the games as a continuation of the story of Ciri and Geralt then there’s no other ending that makes sense besides the “bad ending.” I understand what you’re saying though, but I think the beauty of CD Projekt Red is that they gave an ending for everyone to enjoy and be pleased with.
One year ago i hesitantly bought this game for the switch just because i needed something open world. Was not a fan at all at first, and only kept playing because i paid for it. One year later, im sitting at the credits after receiving the good ending. Greatest investment ive ever made.
This is true. I ran in to the 'good' ending on my own with that specific dialog option. I think it's more of how much you stacked in the favor, rather than wholely specific choices. The specific choices help the matter. I was in the search for a better ending for Regis here, but I guess this is where I settle with the ending. This Witcher is ready to settle down...
On my first playthrough I got witcher Ciri, sided with Roche, Emhyr won the war, Cerys ruled Skellige, Baron and wife lived, saved Olgierd, both Anna and Syana lived. The only downside is I felt terrible about Regis especially when I found a note he left saying "I have a feeling my friend Dettlaff will die. I am sad". He states only a higher vampire can kill another, so you can figure that out. Then after all he is forced to leave Toussaint. After learning I could change that at the expense of a few deaths, I regretted my decision lol
how the hell did you get the baron to live? thats the only (or at least main) option that's been bugging me. I'd given up and thought it unavoidable. can you tell me? please.
I did exactly the same, but I do not regret it, Regis will be just fine, he's an older being, and as he explains, never feels quite at home anywhere in this world, even if he's flexible enough to still adapt well enough anywhere. He will be missed, but he'll be just fine 🎋
@@samnelson2343 , it has mostly to do with the Being in the Tree. Do not free it, sacrifice the children. There are videos on this on UA-cam too, there definitely is a way to send him to the Blue Mountains with Anna 🎋
If you don't visit emhyr you only need to get two "right" choices, and missing the emhyr choice doesn't count against you. You just need to get half or higher to get the "good" endings.
Dang, I had no idea how specific you had to be with your choices to get the best ending in Blood and Wine. I just finished it for the first time, and managed to have them happily reunite just by playing normally
In my experience, actually you need 2 out of 4 “right” choices or 3 out of 5. But I don’t know if I avoid the bad ending with only 2 “right” decisions because it was the first time I played the game.
I love the witcher 3. but I got the bad ending when I beat the main story. it left such a horrible taste in my mouth because I thought I was making a good choice.
xLetalis the choices I made where to have a drink with ciri (my reasoning was I thought playing with the snow would upset her as vesimer had just died so I thought I should take things more seriously) I went with her to the guys grave because who wouldn't honestly. I went in with her to talk to the sorceresses because I thought I was being good by supporting her. I didn't take her to emhyr because I didn't want to risk him taking her or something. and I didn't let her destroy avalachs place because you know I figured encouraging her to destroy others stuff was bad. lol so when I got the bad ending after all the hours I spent trying to save her just because I tried to have geralt be a good dad I was so mad. lol still love the witcher though. I just wish it had been a little more clear with those options.
@@DragonGunzDorian Agreed. Especially with Avallac´h´s place. If I would have known Geralt would strat wrecking the place just for LOLs, I would have picked that. Kinda hard to see this outcome just from the "Go for it" line.
Mr. Goldfinch I actually picked it our of curiosity and got a great laugh when yen drew a mustache on the portrait. but I reloaded as I didn't want to make avallach angry or anything. that and I wanted Geralt to be a responsible dad. the irony here here being that if I hadn't reloaded even if I had done everything else the same. I ! would have gotten the witcher ending. so because I tried to a responsible parent to ciri she most likely died. I love the witcher 3 but I was livid at the game for like a day or two. lol
Star Wars Music I won't spoil anything but it's a bit easier to get the good endings in the dlc. I got the good endings for both of them first try. and yeah I understand what you mean. I was seriously angry when I got the bad ending because I thought I made responsible choices. seriously after vesimer dies and ciri is upset, who thinks "well a beloved family member just died! let's play in the snow!" I mean really, they set us up for failure on that one.
Never thought that the good ending for blood and wine was complicated to get through, I always thought it was the easiest way on my play through, and would have to deliberately fail the obvious high points where the decisions matter or I may have just played too many RPGs that I could sense where the story is going.
My 1st playthrough : War : Radovid wins Skellige : Cerys is a queen Ciri : Ciri is a witcher Geralt : Lives in Kovir with Triss In my second playthrough I have made the same decisions but I also played HoS and BaW and there I have made this decisions : HoS : Gaunter takes Olgierd soul ( I went to professor but I don't like Olgierd) BaW : Syanna dies, Dettlaff survives I don't regret anything.
Apparently after this I still have 17 Things You've Missed videos to watch. I average 3-4 on a good day so nearly there. 152 videos (and counting. I wouldn't be surprised if you added another one before I'm done lol). You are insatiable.
@@xLetalis I'm onto the playthroughs now. The downside is there's no commentary from you. It feels strange watching your videos without a single word passing your lips.
I could binge these videos just to see both things I've done AND things I could think of doing in a next playthrough... because I have to play this game again! P.S. The only thing I can't bring myself to do is choose any woman other than Yennefer.
Hey, I would be helped a lot if you make a playlist on getting all different endings, each video focusing on its own opinions, like you made from 13:30(roughly) onwards in this video. I am still confused how to get the ending when ciri and geralt go out together as witchers.
You mean that if I let anyone win or die in wars and do all good choices, I will get to see a good ending, but there are 3 main good ending, I want the exact good ending where Ciri and geralt go out together as witchers. Please, it would be a lot of help if we get to know each ending via different video, I know it will take many efforts, but please !!!! I literally beg you !!!
@@yashrajyadav7719 yep, as I said - play snowballs with her, don't take her to see Emhyr, let her talk to the sorceresses alone, visit Skjal's grave, and you'll get that ending regardless of any other choices. If you want Emhyr to win the war you have to kill Radovid, but you'll get the Witchers ending anyway
@@xLetalis Thanks, keep up the good work, it's actually very kind of you to reply me twice!! One last question there are two different Witcher endings 1-ciri and geralt part their ways(as witchers) 2-they go out together as witchers. How to get both these endings, which opinion makes these endings different??
I accidentally got the hardest BaW ending, as weird as that sounds. It's just my way of playing, getting everything done before moving on with the main quests, also caring about the characters' feelings
It's all about the characters feelings, exactly! If you really get in character with Gerald, you will get the "good" endings naturally, it feels organic..
It's nice to have videos like this that shows what could have happened. Cus I simply can not do it any other way than what I do. And have done for 5 times of playing the original main story.
I'm glad I managed to get the good ending. I skipped seeing the emperor since didn't think she would want that, and gave her the necklace since thought the necklace would help more
I played the game 3 times, It was always beyond my forces to : - Not saying "I love you" to my dear darling Triss. - Accept the coins from Emhyr for having Ciri back. (this moment is absolutely painful to watch) - Not buying Professor Glasses in HoS expansion.
I remember how f... Heartbroken I was at the Ending of Witcher 3 - I mean, before the two Expansions. Ciri went into that Portal and than the Flashbacks came and I was like "NOOO I DID IT AGAIN! I FAILED AS IN WITCHER TWOOO!" (The First Playthrough, I play everytime without reloads so - So and in Witcher 2 I rescued Triss, betrayed Roche, let the Dragon Princess fly but didn't break the Curse, ... so yeah. Not the moral best ending I think) Anyway, I was like "God damn it, Ciri, nooo ;_;" and than ... As he brought her the Sword ... I was so f... happy!
Bought the game and their expansions in 2020. Here's my endings in my first playthrough: Romance Yennefer, Kill Radovid, side with Roche, making Cerys the Queen, Nilfgaard wins the war, Ciri becomes empress. Heart of Stone: Let O'Dimm take Olgierds soul. Blood and Wine: Got the ribbon, convinced Syanna not to kill Henrietta, killed Detlaff. Im my second playthrough on NG+ now, planning to do everything the opposite. Romance Triss, let Dijstra rule the North, letting Ciri become a witcher etc.
First playthrough: Geralt being single, romanced both Ciri a witcher Cerys as queen Sided with Roche, so Nilfgaard won Let O'Dimm take Olgierd's soul Let Dettlaff live But then I got much more into the lore and read all books and now I'd say my canon choice is: Geralt with Yennefer Ciri a witcher Dijkstra ruling the north Cerys as queen Save Olgierd Unseen Elder ending
It's probably wierd but I always let ciri become empress. Because I think she deserves better even though it breaks my heart to se her leave geralt But she comes to my house in toussaint and just stays there so, I don't mind that much unless I romance someone
@@tormentedzeus2755 Ciri should never return to Nilfgaard. In the books, Emyhr wanted to fuck her. His own daughter. Besides, Nilfgaard fucks over the whole north. They wil enslave thousands of Redanians, Kaedwenis, Aedirnians etc, and they even used to have a group called Gemmerian Pacifiers who would rape people on front of their families and shit. Nilfgaard is a real fucked up country.
I've come to appreciate Dijkstra quite a bit from reading the books and might go for that ending if I replay. I had the Nilfgaard ending first. I'd feel bad about Roche and all dying though :/
For my first ending, Ciri was witcher (only did one 'bad choice, the drinking bit and going to bald mountain instead of Vizima). Assassinated Radovid and left Roche to defend himself. Emhyr dies. Cerys was ruler of Skellige. And of course; Geralt continued his journey alone on the Path, ever coinless"-- (only had 2000 some crowns, so yeah). Probably will keep playing this ending in the future, lol. But very interesting learning the other choices/options, though.
Sigma Geralt ending is when you take the coin from Emhyr, make Ciri empress but in your head canon, she is your puppet and you are her advisor, and true ruler of the empire. You also have to haggle every witcher contract to the maximum amount, and always accept coin if someone offers it, and never give it to anyone in dialogue options.
I will watch this to get every ending but end up choosing the same ones all over again lol
:D I know how you feel
I never had ciri visit me as an empress in touissant.
I think it's definitely worth to check that out even though I would miss my Beloved.
the very first time I played this game I got the bad ending, the next time, I got the ending where Ciri becomes a Witcher, I have never been able to figure out how to get the Empress ending, I only ever get the quest to find Thaller, I think tha'ts the start of the 'kill Radivid' quest, but no other quest started to actually kill Radivid :-(
@@squallion777 After finding Thaler, you will get a quest where Dijkstra, Roche, Thaler all meet and plot to kill him, Also Philippa will spy on you and will help you. I don't remember the quest name though.
@@squallion777 okay that is the tricky part. After you finish Thaler's quest, "A Deadly Plot", the assassination quest will not pop up, because you need to do other things first. When you are trying to get her from him, you should not [Shove Djikstra aside forcefully] but talk to him, you will tell him you have info on Emhyr and after that the assassination quest will be triggered, "Reasıon of State".

I take my hat off to you good sir. Impressive!
I watched witcher 1 on youtube for its age, thought the gameplay would bore me to death, played 2 after siding Saskia then 3
You replayed Witcher 1 and 2?

Man I really wish there was an ending where Olgeird chose to "end his life" in the picture world with Iris
None of your Business i felt the same about this. Well said.
@@Noone-of-your-Business 100% dude. The game was great. The writing at the end could've been improved just a bit and that would've changed everything
Just finished the game, came to see all the different endings. I have to say, I had exactly the same ending as you. Only difference is that I joined in on Ciri talking to the sorceresses but helping her to find the grave. Didn't realize I was that close to a bad ending :O
My first playthrough endings were:
Main game:
1 Ciri became a Witcher
2 Geralt ended up with Triss
3 Cerys became queen
4 Nilfgaard won the war
Hearts of Stone: I tricked Gaunter
Blood and Wine: Happy ending :)
But I still wasn't 1oo% sure, so the reloading was an option till the moment I saw her 🎋
You dont have to choose “came to free you” I choose “came to look for my lost childhood” and everything played out well in the end
fair enough
I chose both "Came to look for my lost childhood" and "Might ask her that" and I also got the nice ending
I actually got the Empress ending, defeated Gunder O'Dimm, and saved the duchess and Syanna. I feel good about my first play through
Based on this, I only made 2 correct choices out of the 4 I encountered and got the Ciri becoming a witcher ending.
I could NEVER sell ciri. Never!
but it's great :D

14:48 same with this dialogue choice - I picked the other and got the same end
you're probably right, i wasnt sure about every single one of them
I was watching this to find out how you get the empress Ciri ending and I find it interesting that you have to go out of your way to help Nilfgaard win in order for Ciri to become empress, I don't know if there's a scene concerning this, but the implication is that it's Geralt's wish as well as Emhyr's for Nilfgaard to win the war and have Ciri on the throne. At the same time, knowing how the books present Nilfgaard before Emhyr's rule, it's no wonder he is assassinated if he doesn't win the war.
@13:20 and @14:50 I chose the other option still had the good ending. Great video!!

"I also romance Triss Merigold.."
I see that you are a man of culture

I got the bittersweet "Good" ending on my first playthrough. It made me real sad.
yeah it can do that ;[
Honestly I always thought that the so called “bad ending” was actually the best ending from a writing and plot perspective. It fits the dark and gloomy nature of the Witcher’s world perfectly and the symbolism in it is just amazing. It is by far the deepest and most realistic ending to Geralt and Ciri’s story, in my opinion.
Yeah, I totally agree with you but it had me devestated for the rest of the day, not gonna lie
Greatest investment ive ever made.
yup this game is quite well made.
Exactly, I hated it when I bought it, but after I got hooked (around the baron quest) I got hooked for life
Can't believe i got Blood and wine's 4th ending during my first time play through , without even realising most people didn't got that
Got it too, I feel it isn't as rare as people tend to think?
We are quite many in the comments in these videos...
Pretty sure I choose the childhood dialogue response and the "might ask her" dialogue, but still got both of them alive in the end.
I also wants to add that having Dandelion in the house and talking to him, also changes according to Anna's fate as well.
Indeed!
1:07 untrue, I made only 2 “right” choices out of 4 (didn’t visit Emhyr) and still got one of the “good” endings.
fair enough, I've never done that myself
xLetalis Came here from “also shameless plug @everyone” :)
🤔🤔
Karen Grdm The comment where he pinged the discord server notifying us of this video.
How am i suppose to know that which choice gives me a good ending .Feeling heartbroken as i finished the game with a bad ending 💔
In my experience, actually you need 2 out of 4 “right” choices or 3 out of 5. But I don’t know if I avoid the bad ending with only 2 “right” decisions because it was the first time I played the game.
Exactly what I got in my first playthrough. Knowing that I was so close to loose her is... kind of terrifying.
@@GeraltofRomaN7 same goes to me
I love the witcher 3. but I got the bad ending when I beat the main story. it left such a horrible taste in my mouth because I thought I was making a good choice.
I like that one
xLetalis the choices I made where to have a drink with ciri (my reasoning was I thought playing with the snow would upset her as vesimer had just died so I thought I should take things more seriously)
I went with her to the guys grave because who wouldn't honestly.
I was seriously angry when I got the bad ending because I thought I made responsible choices. seriously after vesimer dies and ciri is upset, who thinks "well a beloved family member just died! let's play in the snow!"
I mean really, they set us up for failure on that one.
Geralt should have handed the coin straight over to Ciri as her 'inheritance' , so that way emhyr has to pay up but shows he didn't do it for the coin
Never thought that the good ending for blood and wine was complicated to get through, I always thought it was the easiest way on my play through, and would have to deliberately fail the obvious high points where the decisions matter or I may have just played too many RPGs that I could sense where the story is going.
My 1st playthrough :
War : Radovid wins
Skellige : Cerys is a queen
Ciri : Ciri is a witcher
Geralt : Lives in Kovir with Triss
In my second playthrough I have made the same decisions but I also played HoS and BaW and there I have made this decisions :
HoS : Gaunter takes Olgierd soul ( I went to professor but I don't like Olgierd)
BaW : Syanna dies, Dettlaff survives
I don't regret anything.
Apparently after this I still have 17 Things You've Missed videos to watch.
I average 3-4 on a good day so nearly there.
152 videos (and counting. I wouldn't be surprised if you added another one before I'm done lol).
You are insatiable.
Damn, thank you for watching! Glad to know people are enjoying the videos :)
In short - do the "good" choices, and don't take her to see Emhyr - done
You mean that if I let anyone win or die in wars and do all good choices, I will get to see a good ending, but there are 3 main good ending, I want the exact good ending where Ciri and geralt go out together as witchers. Please, it would be a lot of help if we get to know each ending via different video, I know it will take many efforts, but please !!!! I literally beg you !!!
@@xLetalis please read the reply to this comment
It's just my way of playing, getting everything done before moving on with the main quests, also caring about the characters' feelings
well done ;]
It's all about the characters feelings, exactly!
If you really get in character with Gerald, you will get the "good" endings naturally, it feels organic..
It's nice to have videos like this that shows what could have happened. Cus I simply can not do it any other way than what I do. And have done for 5 times of playing the original main story.
I'm glad I managed to get the good ending. I skipped seeing the emperor since didn't think she would want that, and gave her the necklace since thought the necklace would help more
I played the game 3 times, It was always beyond my forces to :
- Not saying "I love you" to my dear darling Triss.
- Accept the coins from Emhyr for having Ciri back. (this moment is absolutely painful to watch)
- Not buying Professor Glasses in HoS expansion.
ew triss
Easy to let go boring Triss for me... after some Loc Muinne at W2 not hard to do. And 2k? cmon, 5-6 orange swords sold to blacksmith does it
I remember how f... Heartbroken I was at the Ending of Witcher 3 - I mean, before the two Expansions. Ciri went into that Portal and than the Flashbacks came and I was like "NOOO I DID IT AGAIN! I FAILED AS IN WITCHER TWOOO!" (The First Playthrough, I play everytime without reloads so - So and in Witcher 2 I rescued Triss, betrayed Roche, let the Dragon Princess fly but didn't break the Curse, ... so yeah. Not the moral best ending I think)
Anyway, I was like "God damn it, Ciri, nooo ;_;" and than ... As he brought her the Sword ... I was so f... happy!
Sees the thumbnail, cried a lil bit.
:(
Bought the game and their expansions in 2020. Romance Triss, let Dijstra rule the North, letting Ciri become a witcher etc.
thanks my friend best video tutorial about best ending in witcher 3 i ever see in youtube well done 🌷
my pleasure :)
5:00 witcher ending man I got one I didn't want empress ending on my first try damn it
First playthrough:
Geralt being single, romanced both
Ciri a witcher
Cerys as queen
Sided with Roche, so Nilfgaard won
Let O'Dimm take Olgierd's soul
Let Dettlaff live
But then I got much more into the lore and read all books and now I'd say my canon choice is:
Geralt with Yennefer
Ciri a witcher
Dijkstra ruling the north
Cerys as queen
Save Olgierd
Unseen Elder ending
It's probably wierd but I always let ciri become empress. Because I think she deserves better even though it breaks my heart to se her leave geralt
But she comes to my house in toussaint and just stays there so, I don't mind that much unless I romance someone
@@MozzaBurger88 i really liked dijkstra too. He started to earn my respect until he did something stupid by challenging me.
@@tormentedzeus2755 he didn't challenge you. He was nice to let you go.
When you get the best ending on ur first playthrough. Hell yea
I got all the happy endings in the main game and its extras on the first run... I admit, I like helping others lol
