This was a bit harder then the others, because I haven't studied this area in verb conjugations, so I got 0 correct 😢 I hope to be better next time, thanks for the video! 😊
I recommend watching tokini andy's godan verb conjugation video and also his ichidan verb conjugation to get the hang of the basic ones but i'm still learning. I didn't know the informal past tense in this yt short and tokini andy didn't explain the informal past tense.
This is really helpful and useful. Thank you Sayaka by watching your videos I am learning more and more Japanese words and phrases. It's also great to see a beautiful and smart woman guide and breakdown the phrases and words so we can say them correctly. Thank you so much Sayaka keep up the great work.❤
Someone once told me to leave it to natural acquisition, but I just started to say screw it and memorize conjugations because I want to. People say Japanese is a hard language but once you learn the rules once, it's just putting it all together. I feel like it's easier than a lot of "easier" languages like French. It quickly loses any intimidation factor.
This is an amazing video!! I hope you'll continue making videos like this, they're extremely helpful! I love learning about different word forms! It would be great if you could briefly explain if there's a pattern to look out for.
I’ve been studying Japanese since I was 14 and I even studied it in Uni and spent a year in Japan and yet I keep coming back for this basic stuff 😂 I haven’t practiced in a few years… so embarrassing. Thank you for these videos ❤
I got it! Granted, i had to pause your viseo, and think between each one. I literally have been practicing verb conjugations so much lately. The hard part isnt learning how to conjugate the verbs. The hard part is to do it quickly and fluently in speech, reading, and listening
I learned Japanese when i worked for a tourisism company, then when i moved to the mainland, i lost most of it. I'm here trying to resurrect my ability to learn the language
Hey sayaka, first i want to thank you for being such a good teacher 😊 i earned so much information from your videos. I've seen a few types of verbs (formal); **Verbs with tow syllables - when the last is 'i' (like 買います- buy, 聞きます - listen, 飲みます - drink) **verbs which doesnt end with "i" (like 食べます). In verbs which end in a "i" - you just change the "i" to a "u". Instead of "買います"="kaimasu"- 買う"="kau", instead of "飲みます"="nomimasu" - "飲む"="nomu", etc. In two syllables which doesnt end in "i", you add "ru"="る" and make it from "食べます" - "食べる". Is it true? Did i miss anything? I would like you to male a video on changing verbs like this. Thanķ you very much for all you videos till now! 😊 By the way im a very-beggineg in learning japanese, so wish me good luck, everyone!
Thank you so much for posting these, Sayaka! They're very helpful. Just to double check: Does the same pattern apply to all verbs that end with -う or -います in present tense?
I GOT ALL BUT THE LAST ONE 🥲 i’m on my 2nd year of learning japanese, if you are debating getting into it.. just do it! it gets so much easier the more you practice

what makes the difference between the negative form becoming ‘買わない’ instead of ‘買ない’? like how do you know you have to ‘add’ the ‘wa’ here? or do u just have to learn
I am not an expert but I think all verbs ending with the vocal "う" have this same conjugation pattern. Pretty good video, but there is something that make me comment, for who want to learn Malay language or this for fun fact 'kau' means 'you' but better use 'awak' or 'kamu' for interact with new person cuz 'kau' can be use when u with ur friend or siblings and dont use this word on ur parent cuz thats kinda rude

I have always wondered this because try to speak English, Japanese, and Korean to my toddler so she can become more familiar with the language but I speak informally to her so maybe I should try both 🤔

@@NihongoDekita S/he is saying true, it's hard but people like you are bridging the gap. thanks a lot for this type of concise information.

I am so glad that i have learned english and arabic from childhood 😅
Started learning Japanese from about 8 days and it is not that hard till now 😂
got a perfect score! Verb conjugations take time to master, but they're the easiest to play around with once you learn them.
how you learned them. Its a brain twisting act

Same! 😢 lol. Learning Japanese is hard!
I think a vowel by itself at the end works the same as with a vowel, verb conjugations are kinda confusing, but make sense
Same here😢

Why Sayaka-sensei so amazing though
Yahoo Nihongo, Arigato! 🙂

One doubt shin nihongo or minna nihongo which one is best 🤔
😘
I accidentally got the last one... Whoa...😮
Wow, does Japanese have informal conjugations for all verbs? Are they at least somewhat regular?
Why you're so pretty?
Not even one mate 😂😂😂
I didn't understand sorry😢,but you are a perfect teacher❤❤❤
what makes the difference between the negative form becoming ‘買わない’ instead of ‘買ない’? like how do you know you have to ‘add’ the ‘wa’ here? or do u just have to learn
I would also like to know this.
I am not an expert but I think all verbs ending with the vocal "う" have this same conjugation pattern.
For example
洗う (to wash)
洗わない
使う(to use)
使わない
吸う (to smoke)
吸わない
会う (to meet)
会わない
When you start learning Japanese one of the first things you have to learn is the different groups of verbs and their respective conjugations.
When they just end in u, it's a little hard for me
the kanji for this is simple
私は任天堂買いました。すごくいいですね!
I love you
Yay I aced it🎉🎉🎉

Hi how accurate would be this song: monster sake rai rai.
They use another word for: let's drink that sound like (yoiyoiyo)
In what context is informal used? Is it like a more informal word or used for informal things?
Gros bisous Sayaka mimi
Is those just the two forms of this verb or there's others
Pretty good video, but there is something that make me comment, for who want to learn Malay language or this for fun fact
'kau' means 'you' but better use 'awak' or 'kamu' for interact with new person cuz 'kau' can be use when u with ur friend or siblings and dont use this word on ur parent cuz thats kinda rude

I struggle with the patterns for informal.

Whe~ where's the pattern?? 😵😵
I got them all wrong
can anyone answer me
Why for example
泣き is cry, then what is 泣かせ
飲む is drink, then why does it become 飲み
買い is buy, why does it become 買わ
Etc

I watched it twice and still said kaiou, that’s not correct 😅
I got 0/5 😊
Is it ok if I keep using formal way to talk with local Japanese people?
Question, how am I supposed to know how to convert these?
❤
So is "kai" the word for buy? Or is it "kaima"?
the word is 買(かう), the verb stem (the form you use to convert to formal form) is かい
