Today is Melanoma Monday, kicking off Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Melanoma is the deadliest type of skin cancer and is on the rise. Dr. Elizabeth Hale, dermatologist and senior vice president of the Skin Cancer Foundation, joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss the risks and treatments.

incoorect news it stats distant melanoma 23 percent 5 yr survival according to recent date with the use of targeted therapies and immuno drugs is a bit over 50 percent.

Of course it's on the rise because most sun blocks have skin cancer causing agents. I never had any problems until I started to use sun screen. I use natural sun screens and eat lots of melons and don't spend a huge amount of time in the sun, hats and long sleeve shirts. Had benign Melenoma 2013 which is unheard of but I also use cbd hemp lotions so that could be a factor of benign diagnosis. I also soak in a bath of baking soda for 20 minutes 3 times a month for muscle and joint pain but in helps the skin too
