My first business, Lyles BBQ Company, is officially closed. We tried to grow too fast and borrowed too much money and it killed our family business. Learn from my mistakes. Subscribe to the channel as I learn from other small business owners and build myself back up.

Chandler, I just now saw your video about the closing and am shocked. I stumbled across Lyles when we were working on a new, nearby daycare center. Someone suggested Lyles for lunch and I had what I still, to this day think was the best brisket I have ever had in a restaurant. After that, I found every excuse I could think of to have a meeting with my guys on the project so I could come down and have lunch there, lol. I am in Indiana about 35 miles west of Cincinnati. I also took my wife down for lunch, it was that darned good!!! BTW, someone shared the rub and sauce recipes and I still use it today. Good Stuff!!! (I'll never share those with anyone) Anyway, I don't know what you are doing now but I liked your video on the BGE. Whatever it is that you are doing, I hope it is a great success.

This was legit the absolute best BBQ I ever had. I always ate it there at the mall! We need your food back. Loved it!
I miss y'all so much. After I left you all I took a break from the kitchen but ended up at a place that may or may not rhyme with Fred crate. All I can say is it's a shame you guys closed and they haven't. Regardless of how it ended, it was the best few years I had working with you all. I learned so much from Jen, that I'll never forget and will forever be grateful for. Hands down, y'all had the best bbq. Cause it was a true bbq scratch kitchen. Much love.
Chandler, I feel your pain. We too opened a BBQ restaurant in Lexington that was doing great...then the 2007-2009 recession hit. It all blew sky high. Since you're so good at video creation, you might want to consider making marketing videos for restaurants or other small businesses. That's what I'm doing and have been doing since we moved to Louisville after our restaurant closed and we lost our home. If you want to talk about this, I'd be happy to give you some insight! Enjoyed the first VLOG! I can totally relate to needing time to heal after your business failed. I had a similar situation. One of my biggest struggles after selling my chiropractic office was having a doctorate degree and then having to go to work in a entry level administration position. Keep it up!

Chandler Lyles I was going to say dude, you shed a business and some lbs - now you’re lighter for your next journey! I’m doing great man, moved/opened a “branch” of our business down in Austin, Texas and I’m slowly but surely adapting to the heat haha. Is it fair to say that the deal with your employment w/ ML Partners didn’t pan out?

@@lylesbbq You were offered $75k+ a year to help grow the sauce business with your parents plus other projects with ML Partners. You don't mention anything about that, just your 'side hustle' where you have no idea what you want to do. Since you didn't mention it the assumption is that it didn't pan out.
