Yeah kinda lame the first place dude called him out of bounds when the kid didn't even make it to the top. I could understand saying hey he went out if it was 1st 2nd finish but... dude had his leg flopping tf around and hit 1200' after his bike broke.. unless he was scared the kid would have beat him?
I worked at the Gold Miners Daughter Hotel at Alta Winter of '83.. The Owners Grandson lived at the Bottom of the Hill. It was hayfields back then. Now it's a Subdivision ..
I haven't been back in over 10 years. I use to buy heroin in South Salt Lake spent a lot of time going back and forth from Orem to slc. I could only imagine how much it's all changed now.. my old man use to race bikes back in the day (70s) so I look for him in these older Utah videos.

1983 Was the Early Era of bikes with some real suspension. There were Purpose built Hill Climbers back in the 1920's Ridgist rear frames back then and into the 1960's
Vince's leg Floppin around had me cracked up! That's some crazy Schitt! I hated his chain broke, because he was to the top.

17:22 👏Amazing Ride! Vince Bertuluchi should have been a Rodeo Rider! Having only 1 Leg hasn't Slowed him Down Any!! 👍🍺
Please bring this back. Where is it?
Is it still going on but they don’t show us anymore?
Man this was great.
Even the women trying.
Great clean fun.

Wow Thanks for sharing. Grew up in the Salt lake valley and attended many widow makers. Always a good time. Sad to see it end.
Vince Bertulucci - a total beast!
Vince Bertulucci Puts Most Pro Bull Riders to Shame 👍😉
I think all these videos should definitely have the song balls to the wall !
It’s so cool to see this. I see this hill almost daily living near Draper
So fun to watch my brother Keith and cousin Jim make it over this hill!
Curious what those two are doing now, use to ride Widowmaker in the 80's.
Sad seeing it covered in houses now, corner canyon was a great place to come of age.
