I can’t tell you how many times I have thought about this configuration on many different knives. The SBR is a great knife design that needs to be a manual. Also, same idea when there is very good knife designs and not good steel choices.
Yo! MC, thanks for ur channel. Late to comment, but I'm new to this. Being 2+ years after ur review, hind sight is clear. Anyway, I love my new ProTech Malibu (Cobalt Blue / Reverse Tanto / Stone Washed / Smooth Handles). It is stoutly butter... no doubt. Amazon has a shi$ ton fs Drops available. Seems weird to me...Especially bc ProTech Malibu production units can be had for
260+tax now for the smooth DLC black on black. If it's anything like the Malibu I'm excited. From what I'm getting this is a little bigger by about an inch
It's 20CV, so you *know* it's premium. I also like the worn look, or as some have called it, the Boba Fett look. The handle on my Kershaw Blur is a little beat up and it's just cool to me.
MC, I've watched this vid about a dozen times since you released it such a gorgeous knife. How exactly does the knife lock up better over time? I don't have any experience with plunge locks but I'm super interested.
I got this knife 🔪 and all I can say is wow 🤩 it’s excellent got the green one love it hoping to get another Love your vids watch all the time Thanks 🔪🔪
Trying to decide between mordax and Malibu... I was originally team mordax but I'm starting to like Malibus.. I like the shape and lines of the mordax but the size of the Malibu.. And I hear they have a bit better action..
That's a gorgeous blade! I was considering purchasing the Malibu but I was told the Mordax is a better buy. Is the action on the Mordax smoother then the Malibu or are they the same? Appreciate you sharing!🙂
They're similar. The weight of the blade in the Mordad yields a slightly more satisfying action. But id say the Malibu is a better design all the way around.
@@metal_complex Decisions, decisions......it's a tough choice to make! I kinda wish I hadn't been told about the Mordax.😉 Appreciate the response/help, thank you! 🤜💥🤛
@@metal_complex After the massdrop logo. I think yours is OG37. So in the gray plain handle it's the 37th one made. BTW I agree. It does need some jimping. I might add some cause when i hold it my thumb does need some traction.
The detent on mine got impossibly stiff after like 50 flips, so I put a drop of oil on the lock face and now the detent is so light I can barely get it to fully deploy the blade. Did yours do that?
Hi, in your description section, all I see are made in china products. Why dont you ever mention American, Russian etc... knives? I'd like to see link to Cobratech, Protech, Microtech, and M3 to say a few. Personally, I really think American made knives are a cut above!
hmm saying its thin behind the edge while its at 0.024-0.030 sounds a bit clueless... how does the blade stock thickness says anything about thickness behind the edge ever ? for the rest ok review
I’m getting that for sure! I love that look and that you can choke up, and button close. Not a big fan of flippers but this looks doable
I would really like to see protech do a manual version of the SBR. flipper or thumbstuds, same button lock and bearing pivot.

I've heard of ppl turning the SNG protech into manuals.
Mine arrived today! I returned several budget knives to get the Silver milid version. I love it!
Looks awesome. Thanks for the video my Bladed Brother ⚔️

This Is My Favorite EDC Knife. I just wish I had it in MagnaCut.
Fantastic review. I unfortunately didn’t have the funds for the first initial drop so I can’t wait till Drop releases the leftover knives for sale 🤩
Such a silky smooth action!
Fantastic looking knife! Very classy for sure! Thanks for the review!

Just ordered mine!!
I think I prefer the Malice-- rounded handle, extremely broad blade with attractive cutouts, nice-looking ano .
Man. If this had no flipper tab and a vox hole or thumb stud. It would be my favorite knife ever.

It seems like it gets more solid! Hard to say without actual use though

I probably would remove the flipper tap and just use the button lock.
It was love at first sight.
It damn sure was.
Nice and slick looking

Same. I was all about getting a Malibu at the last drop but checked my swing in favor of the Mordax. Arrives Friday.
Very nice knife. Would really like to win that one. Got to get you to 50 patrons.
😁👍
One hell of a give away. Especially when you consider it's first production with serial number. Share the number with us
I didn't know that. Where is the S/N located?

No. Mine has stayed the same over about 250 flips
What oil did you use?
@@k-ozdragon knife pivot lube
@@waynewelshans1172 I'm surprised it made it that slick. Was it the regular or heavy?

I want this bad boy!!
Has this knife been cloned yet?
"If you start seeing them at $250, ehhhhh, I wouldn't do that..." meanwhile drop re-releases it up to $260 lol
Yikes.
@@metal_complex Plain Jane gray and no milling is $240, while milled with colors is between $250 and $260 depending what color.

This is a cool knife and if you didn't get in on it thro Drop its like double on secondary.
I knew that would happen
I will have one on Ebay in the next couple days at $300 if you're interested.
Just wait, they will have these available for immediate purchase very soon. Already been confirmed
She is sooo pretty... 😍
😉
I WANT!!!
Haha, now the base is at $240!

is 21 Patreons close enough to 50? LOL
Hahaha getting closer!
@@metal_complex I do have 4 open slots in my Pelican case now for some reason! LOL
Please please pick me I will forever be in your debt❤😮
Thanks for the review, good looking knife.
