Very great tip. From experience the the most dangerous type of fall is due to these rails: if one does not cross them perpendicularly enough (the small Brompton wheels even increase the risk of a fall and a potential serious injury). This is a real problem in traffic when the road is turns slightly but with slightly turning (almost parallel) rail crossing. I wish cars would be also aware of these difficulties for the bikers. They usually do not expect zigzags from the cyclists. What is your tip in that case to prevent cars from starting overtaking?
So I guess you cannot ride the tracks hands-free then LOL I was curious about the tram. I saw that there was a guy that moved the cones back and forth whenever a vehicle came along. Why?
Hi Slicedpage There is a car passage and the train and the pedestrians. I thing is for letting the cars pass only when there is no train coming. Nope, no hands free near the tracks. 🤣👍🏻
Thank you. I didn't think about the steel getting slippery. Thank you! 🤗
Hi NoZenith
It is very slippery. So easy to crash.

Hi Anonymusmaster
Stop and wait for them to pass.
Or take over the entire line, so it has to wait for you to pass.

Thank you!! We have these rails around our city of Birmingham. Back in the 60's the system was ripped up and now their back!! Progress? Stay Safe !!!
Hi Sheila Stallard
Tracks are very tricky.
