I have the 404, and it's an awesome wah, but the halo inductor on this new wah sounds vastly different from the yellow inductor on the 404. The halo is thicker and fatter, whereas the yellow inductor is brighter, and more in the high resistor. The red inductors, I'm guessing, are the same voice, but even then, having the internal trim pots for the two inductors being included as knobs externally is a great touch. It's not really enough to make me give up my 404 and buy this one, but it's a good option. Honestly, the 404 is more versatile, because this wah has two voices that are similar in sound and frequency range. The yellow inductor is a nice contrast to the red.
Come on don't start with the "Be advised this is a limited edition bla bla" bullshit. Every pedal that I can remember from MXR/Dunlop (and I'm 55) that was a limited edition became part of their regular line up of effects.
I know he have to sell gear☺️But I can tell he loves guitars ,always passionate and happy👍☺️👍👍👍Nice Boy👍👍☺️All the best Sir👍
Was looking to buy the mxr cae wah, but this is very tempting! How would you say the roughly compare?
I’ve got the Dunlop Crybaby 535q Multi-Wah pedal
So basically it's the CAE MC-404 wah?
No, MC have a yellow fasel, not a Halo
@@slucas380 So it's a slightly different version of the MC-404 haha

Is this pedal lossless when not "on"....no signal drain like the older Dunlops?
Volts?
9
Is it even possible to do a wah review without killer footwear? I think not.
I didn't think it was possible for a man to use a wah pedal and not play voodoo child
Your my fav
i have the 535q : no need of this one
Shame you can't blend the 2 modes...
Just bought this on clearance at Guitar Center today for $100. That's my only gripe
