Thank you for *NOT* including a wireless charging pad. Wireless charging puts out massive amounts of RFI, heat, and is incredibly inefficient. It saddens me that so many things have some sort of wireless charging. It's literal crap, for the sake of convenience.
Great review of the DJI Power 1000. I was wondering how well it would perform with multiple devices, and it seems like it handled everything you threw at it without a problem. Overall, this seems like a solid option for drone enthusiasts and anyone who needs a lot of portable power. Thanks for the review bro.
Absolutely brilliant video. I learned some stuff about DC to AC conversion plus saw a terrific use case for this unit. I probably don’t need one, but I definitely want one after seeing this. 😊
That switch you talk about (1200W/600W) is not for power output at all, it is right under the charging port, that should give you a clue, it is for AC charging input. The AC outputs can handle over 2000 W continuous or 4400 W peak.
specific energy of this is only about 79 watthours per kilo, but with lithium ferrophosphate you could expect upwards of 2000 charge cycles before it starts to act up. it's well priced for what it is
Yoo awesome review! I bought a garage without power, do you reckon it can open and close the electric rolling door at least 10x before the dji is out of power? Thinking about buying this to solve the power issue. Only have my motorbike in the garage so dont need power besides the rolling door and maybe charging my motor battery.
Thanks for this review. Can you please check if it can be used as a UPS? Like connect a PC or sensitive electronics to the AC port (while charging), unplug, drain the battery, plug it back in? It looks like the AC port is turned off by default when you turn it on? It might be an issue if the battery runs out and the power comes back on -- the whole thing will not automatically switch on?
Sorry I didn't see your question. Yes, use it as a UPS in all ways. Charging solar or AC everything works and keeps power to devices if AC or solar is cut 🍻
@@DustinDunnill I'm wondering if I can plug my home PC to this when I'm travelling (I connect remotely to the PC). Suppose there's an extended power interruption and the battery drains. The PC turns off. Then after a while the power comes back on. Does the AC output (and thefore the PC) turn back on? Or somebody has to physically press the AC button again on the power station? If it automatically resumes AC output again, it could be an excellent use case for servers -- the industrial grade UPS are very expensive for small businesses
Got it. I'll give it a test and let you know. I am guessing it needs a physical turn back on but it will be interesting to find out. I really wish they included WiFi in this one. I have several WiFi capable PowerStations where you can control them remotely from anywhere as long as they are connected to the net.

I’m going to order one today! (Only because of the price) Mostly for the “UPS” feature for my TV and home theater gear and Mavic-3 battery charging on the road. I have 2 Mavic 3’s (wife has one and I have one) and 8 total batteries, but we spend summers at our shore house which has power failure issues non-stop. I have Honda EU2200i generators, but they’re too heavy to lug around and fuel is an issue. (And costlier now that “Bidenomics” and the destruction of America = currently in play) Great Review AS ALWAYS! Thanks @Dustin
I’ve gotta think DJI’s battery quality will be far better than most other brands of battery bank/power station gear. I’ve had 6-8 DJI drones over the years with 4-6 batteries for each. The only problem I had? Original FPV “potato” Drone battery is dead, a few Mavic-2 pro batteries had “swelling” and a Mavic-3 battery that won’t charge above 2 bars. That’s pretty good in my opinion.
@@PowderMill they are tricky people, they charge their cells they use for their quadcopters to 4.5 volts. For future product review it would be useful if you will at least read the product page before presenting. Few notes: 1. The 1200W/600W switch is only for charging, does not affect the output. 2. The SDC ports are the fastest way to charge DJI batteries. I mean, ever. No other charger will charge the Mavic 3 battery faster, SDC are like ~20% faster (if i recall correctly) then de AC charger. This is a major advantage for charging drone batteries on the field. Can even charge DJI Matrice 30T batteries. Looking forward to see the 500W version! EDIT: charging drone batteries is actually about 40% to 50% faster.
The vehicle should have had a cigarette lighter outlet and a light. And most importantly, exit portals and solar panel input had to be universal. It could have been XT60.. It is difficult to understand the relevant departments of this manufacturer. They must not have calculated that product sales would decrease. DJI seems to have forced people to buy their cables. Preferably, I would buy the original cable of such products. But in case of urgent need, universal ports that can be found everywhere are a must. It's not suitable for me, I definitely won't pay money. I will look at the new models of Ecoflow or Bluetti. Most models of brands such as Ecoflow and Bluetti additionally have a UPS feature and you get what you pay for.
Speaking of the Anker.... I was using it recently to power my fridge in a 12 hour power outage and the Bluetooth connectivity shuts off after a half day. So you have to physically turn it back on to use app. This got annoying so I mentioned it to Anker. They said it was to save power. But it does this no matter what mode it's in. I mentioned It would be better to have it shut off only in "power saving mode" or even better, give us the ability to set a time. We shall see if my input is seen in an update. If the PowerStation is tucked away out of reach this gets very annoying when trying to monitor from app. At least Anker has wireless IOT capability though 😂🍻
