Went on Sunday and managed to find some crappie Northeast side of lake in some shallows reeds. Caught on bobber and minnow or site fishing with a plastic. Found dozens and dozens or small mouth beds all over the lake. Wacky or ned rigs slow drag over beds worked best. Good luck!
Went out to elephant. Got a few really nice crappies(14"+) but man that cold rain scattered things. Our forest road heading to the cabin back on long lake was completely washed out and gone. Gnats were absolutely horrendous. It was a great weekend!
I haven't had a report from Orr Bay yet. I would think that crappie jigs would work well there this time of year. Let me know if you try it. Best of luck!
@@PelicanLakeFishing I'll give it a whirl. Mid summer I find them there bit really have to have calm weather to fish it well. Slip floats in pockets of open water among the cabbage. They really bury up in there

What would you reccomend for fishing in orr bay? Just pitch crappie jigs until you find some?
